There's also a date in the Adamastor's logs where the contents are missing. It's prior to arrival at the LP.

Also a question tied to the above about whether the Adamastor started at Chukchan, went somewhere, then went to the LP, or whether it started elsewhere, went to Chukchan, and then went to the LP.

Lots of unanswered speculative stuff as well, of course, but the missing data from the date stands out as a clue that has not been resolve.

It is possible the partial flight plan was falsified and, as you say, she went somewhere for some purpose and the log was deleted. She was only fuelled for 370 ly, so must have refuelled somewhere, either before or very near to the LP.

The logs are clear that she was originally heading for an Azimuth facility out towards Barnard’s Loop, and the three systems mentioned (HIP 39748, HIP 33386, & LP in Synuefe XE-Y c17-7) are definitely on a straight line out that aways. She received updated orders at the LP which diverted her to the Coalsack. BUT where did she refuel? If she could fuel scoop then why bother stating the 370ly range? Doesn’t make sense! And the LP message is a lot of text to say just ”LONG 38.0 615 ly body 3“, then there is evidently the word “west” (Oest in the French version, so must be significant part of the message) and a coded “North” plus some parts that seem to me to be further distances. Logically that message should provide explicit directions to Musca Dark Region PJ-P b6-1 3 (11.86 , -38.0), and quite possibly to a refuelling post/rendezvous. It may be a puzzle for the playerbase, but it must be logically valid too!!

Ah, after checking them myself, I dont see much, if any difference in them either to be honest. Would be intriguing to find out where that skybox is though...

And as a long time, long term player (played all 3 originals) I don't know if Raxxla is real, and wouldn't even begin to know where to find it, but if it's here in game, then I'm sure we'll find it eventually. Whether it would be worth it or not would be down to our interpretations of worthiness.

That said, I think its got something to do with TDW at Shinrata, but obviously with the proc gen missions being messed up, it might be that we can't find it due to them. Who knows though, Odyssey might fix them again, and the hunt can begin in earnest (but knowing FDev...)?
Whoever Raxla is, but I think you can only find her after certain conditions are met.

For example, I have a lot of things in the Codex in every region of the galaxy and almost all of them are unconfirmed.
I have to confirm it all and then I can find her.

Agreed with having certain conditions met. But I'm fairly certain Raxxla is or should be a place or destination, although it wouldn't surprise me if it was a 'who', unlockable like an engineer perhaps?

This?
I remembered AndyJ’s discussion on his FD questions, but I don’t think it actually resolves anything. If we knew WHY the missions had been deleted we might have a better understanding of the process we need to apply.

That last link doesn’t work for me, searched on the thread for “Dervish Platform” & “Ogma” & no results

I have always wondered why we see Orange in this game, can it have anything to do with Raxxla?

for example, if you mix two colors that turn orange and it usually turns out like this.

Can these colors have anything to do with which suns there are in Raxxla?

I know that if there are two different sun colors in a solar system, the colors of the planets would be affected by sunlight as this case turns orange.

No offence but Im guessing you are using some sort of translator and I sometimes have a hard time understanding what you mean, so forgive me if this is way off the mark of what you meant, its down to misunderstanding purely.

Some stories had local GalNet stories that disappeared after a period of time - this is most annoying and frustrating for people like me trying to follow the trail (Canonn is a godsend sometimes with this, sometimes I just have to give up) Theres a couple where the UCB gives a key to a message in local GalNet that just isnt there anymore in-game!

Some stories had associated GalNet that werent there for some reason. @drew can correct me on this but iirc there were some GalNet stores that either got 'missed' completely by players or werent published properly during the Exodus storyline due to bugs or something (my memory is hazy and second hand, I wasnt there during the event). And iirc some others didnt appear due to the story being solved before expected timeline and story played out eg Jacques had some GalNet that never got published due to being found early.

So some have been lost to time, and some didnt get published correctly. Hopefully that isnt happening now. But some do lead to dead ends in-game or are Easter Eggs that mean nothing now coz theres no context to place it or make sense of it.

Frontier if youre listening, please leave local GalNet history intact in future, regardless of how long ago the event happened, its still new to me and other players today when I find it and its still as exciting as when the first player found it.

Havent checked Chukchan to see if that local GalNet article has stayed or gone though, hope its still there.
I agree. The local news should be archived and still accessible through the local system news outlet!
Though not in microfiche!!

So you’re hypothesising that we have to get a load of entries in the Codex to find Raxxla? Probably via unlocking membership of the Real Dark Wheel? Makes sense with the current gameplay, perhaps this replaced the missing missions? nobody has mooted this hypothesis as far as I know.

Feasible, but I suspect more likely to be a stupid marketing decision by FD who probably hired at great expense a firm of marketing consultants who told them to have a standout brand they should use a memorable colour like bright orange for most of their marketing, logos, hud elements etc etc, and FD forgot to point out that many stars are bright orange, so are many planet surfaces, and pilots often can’t read those hud elements. Plus, it gives me a headache!

I though I read somewhere it was due to orange being the optimal for reading on HUDs based on RL testing. However, in RL, most people utilising a heads up display aren't trying to read it against an orange background as often as we do in ED. You'd have thought with all the supposed magic going on in a cockpit, it would be possible for that stuff to change colour automatically depending on the situation.

Long time lurker and player of the game here, (and my first post here, so please be gentle)

NO! wind your neck in noob! ;)

Seriously, welcome to the the quest of the rest of your life. Now youve posted theres no hope of escape, youre trapped here just like all of us :) Always good to see fresh faces, especially 84ers, hope you can make some sense of the whole thing, meant to say hello earlier but forgot. theres no theory too far fetched here so have fun (Im biased but this is the best thread on the forums imo) Whether its science, religion, history or politics theres a theory about Raxxla in it and nobody can say youre wrong or its not connected as nobody knows and Braben aint telling. In fact he aint even saying what it is or whether its stationary in one system or not so pretty much anything goes in the quest, even if youre wrong you may trigger a thought in someone else so dont hold back.

I don't quite understand how this can be connected to something, or my translator made strange connections, but these two logos (TDW and Raxxla) have just the colors yellow and green and saw when one was superimposed on the other. But I've never seen these 2 logos mixed to get the orange color.

I was talking about two suns that throw orange light to planets, was just an idea that came up considering a lot of the game is after all orange, and it has been rumored that the clues are in front of our noses.

Is there anything that proves that there is only one star in the system ?
