I don't know if this is an intentional troll post with that picture but if you look over on the left hand side where it says that's what he has targeted and where it says 'use your composition scanner to analyze' and you just put your hand over where it says the KO2 type and look the whole way down from there it says 'use you to anal', KO2type right above it, with the line that's above where it says 'use you to anal'. so I don't know if this is just how it glitches out the Hud or UI or if its just a photo shopped troll post.
troll post here, never. I was just joking about the Anal thing god forbid

I know MB said that as well, but I couldn't find that statement again yesterday. However, Braben has also been clear on this in the past.
MB's statement was interpreted in two ways previously. Some thought it was just regarding a particular interview. Other thought it was more in general that there would be no clues given. Many assumed there was not more hints (facilitation) coming after that.

But I think we're also missing the point. We know MB carefully chooses his words.
MB said they had to try "make it a tiny bit obvious", not that it was too obvious as we previously may have thought.
Hence two conclusions may be drawn from this:
  • Raxxla is meant to be found. By us, the players. It appears they have not made it inaccessible then.
  • They even facilitated finding it somehow. Whether this is the Codex articles and something more, time will tell.
This also goes speaks against all who thinks Raxxla is not in game or is not meant to be found.

I never took the "no clues" comment literally. I regarded as, "Raxxla is hidden, it will not be visible in the traditional sense." Meaning there will be no clues to it's location or existence. You just have to stumble upon it. Or at least the gateway to it. I think we're looking for a gateway, not a planet. The planet was always ever in Andromeda. However it had a Coriolis station of the same name and that was located in Lave. You had to dock there and ask for permission to use the gateway, which as I understand was actually in Tionisla, but you had to fly around the Lave system a couple of times and jump to Tionisla within a specific amount of jumps for the gateway to Andromeda to open. Once there you still had to find Raxxla (the planet). The Raxxlans may have had the ability to move the planet, system, to system, but they sure as hell didn't move it all the way to the Milkyway. If anything the Raxxla Coriolis is still around, but perhaps renamed. Which means it could be any station we've seen.

So are we suggesting this is a jump pattern order? Isinor is a system I only just recently unlocked the permit for, a month or so back.

Except for he says it is in the milky way which in fact is not in Andromeda. But it could be a jump gate to a rogue planet otherwise inaccessible for the lack of a target star

Again...remember that there were two Raxxlas. The real planet, protected by a Raxxlan race, and the Coriolis station, which was essentially a stepping stone to another galaxy. So unless Braben, or someone at FDEV says the actual planet is in the Milkyway? I'm going to put my $$ on a station. It's most feasible. I couldn't see how they'd justify a moving of a planet all the way across deep space to another galaxy. The coriolis station is what used to be located in Lave and had since been moved. Not the planet Raxxla, which Ryder ultimately located in Andromeda.

imo thats exactly what this is
Just a reminder, from the DJtruthsayer interview with MB, 1 min clip with the important bits
Source: https://clips.twitch.tv/HumbleSpotlessEmuANELE

MB: "It's a journey everyone have to travel for themselves."
DJ: "You have said there will be no clues haven't you" ...
MB: "... That is true, but you have to make some of it a tiny little bit obvious, but so people know what they are doing. But, there is nothing to be revealed at this stage."

maybe he wasn't being literal with the word "in" ...

you either take what was stated in the most likely context or you might as well make any theory up imaginable since at that point, you've decided anything is possible.

No clues almost certainly means there are no secret galnet posts or hidden book secrets or missions that would lead you to the location
In the milky way almost certainly means that it's not in any other galaxies if there even are any galaxies generated in the game other than the milky way.
That players can find it almost certainly means that it's not hidden behind any kind of unknown permit (or that it is and there is a way to get the correct permit)

I do think that employees have slipped up on some aspects of it's location that they may be more privy to than the general public.

I think that the roid field comment was less a joke and more of an in-house theory with inside info on why it's likely to be in such a place.

On an off note.
I wish I had known more of the Elite universe when I first started playing. Back in preview. Jason Ryder was a Wanted target in a Nav beacon that I had noticed, when I was learning how to play. I don't know if he killed me, or I him...could have gone either way. I was really sh** at the game and in a Sidewinder. I didn't know there were anything other than fixed weapons, in fact. I was learning how to use the fixed weapons provided with the ship. Later, I seen the name again and the only reason I remember to this day is because it was the first name I had seen come up twice. Not knowing the name, I thought, "Huh...weird, I either didn't kill that guy and he killed me/ got away, or the game likes to generate the same names over again." Imagine the possibilities...wake scan and follow? Methinks?

Anyway, so once I heard about this whole RAXXLA thing, the name popped up in forums again. It immediately brought me back to the old Nav beacon camp days. Again, it's where I made all my money, as I had no knowledge of Res hunting even. I think it may have even been before I joined a super power. As I was lawless for quite some time. It may have even been in the original start system...before LHS-3447.

Points on topic for consideration
  1. Toasts generally include things present or seen.
  2. FDev surprised no one has found it yet.
  3. Legend of Raxxla appeared early in history/distance traveled by humans.
  4. Raxxla picture includes symbols with known meaning, used in previous clue diagrams.

Crazy but still it tingles my tinfoil. Great ideas.

1. Examples? Most glorify something real or imagined.
2. Source / Citation? - Often confused with DW statement 'surprised nobody has solved it yet' about Salome riddle and perhaps MB said it about Zuara but unconfirmed.
3. Yes - but what does that mean exactly? Its like saying it was in the last place I looked, ofc it was you stopped looking when you found it.
4. Total Speculation - nothing is known so please don't assert speculation and opinion as fact. Its a Theory, until its proven that's all it is. Some theories may seem to hold more water but the more assertive someone is the less likely we will see the truth because of Confirmation Bias.

That said, I like the diagram, don't believe most of it for a second but some thought gone into it.

Yep, should have learned not to post here. Back to avoiding forums.
