I can't comment on MB's replacement, but given the live-stream activity it isn't Paige Harvey seeming to take on that lore / enthusiasm role keeper is it?
Nope.

Hello Commanders,

With my heart full of pride and love for the Elite Dangerous community, I’m afraid I have to tell you that February will be my last month here at Frontier Developments. I’ve spent the last four years learning so many skills and meeting so many incredible Commanders, however it’s time for me to spread my wings and embark on a new adventure!

I started here at Frontier Developments in April of 2016 in the Customer Service Wing as CMDR Normandy, before becoming a Social Media Manager and eventually a Community Manager for one of the coolest space games on the planet. It’s truly been a wonderful journey, and though I can’t highlight every fantastic moment of my time here, I want to mention just a few things that will always be with me.
  • With your help, we’ve raised hundreds of thousands of pounds for Special Effect, helping to support disabled gamers and get them back into the game. This charity is incredibly close to my heart and I couldn’t be prouder whenever I see a member of the Elite Dangerous community flying the Special Effect flag.
  • The moment that CMDR DoveEnigma13 arrived at the Dove Enigma megaship in Colonia caused me to sob uncontrollably. To me, there’s no better way to explain to people just what the Elite Dangerous community are like than to tell them the story of the Dove Enigma, but I’ll let CMDR Mach1ne’s heart-warming video tell the tale.
  • The reveal of the 2.4 update was just epic. We’d worked on plans for so long to tell the Elite Dangerous community that the Thargoids were back, and the second that we said those words, you could hear a pin drop. The excitement was palpable and the reaction from the community was second to none.
  • Singing with the Lake Band during the 24 Hour Charity Stream was awesome, and from the very first practice session, I could just feel how amazingly talented and kind the band was. They welcomed me with open arms, and it was an honour to perform with them.
  • The last (but definitely not least) memory I'd like to share is meeting the inspirational CMDR Michael Holyland and his family. Michael's candle may have extinguished too soon, but the legacy he leaves behind burns brightly in the heart of every Commander who remembers him.
In my job I’ve had the opportunity to work with most of the incredible teams that make up Frontier Developments, but I’d like to give a special shout out (unsurprisingly) to the Community Management team. The team are fantastic and I know that in the hands of Will, Stephen, Bo, Chante and Paul you’ll be looked after. You can also expect to see some new faces on the team over the next few months and I look forward to meeting them as well! Thank you team for everything you’ve taught me and for your friendship over the years!

If you want to keep up with me in the coming months then feel free to follow me on Twitter @PaigeHHarvey, or on Twitch at twitch.tv/arthremis, I’d still love to hear from you all and I’ll be following Elite Dangerous all through 2020, there’s some epic things coming ;)

Thank you all for the last four years, don’t forget, you’re all incredible.

Paige

Also, Paige is/was a CM, and I would think the lore is much more likely to be tied with narrative and/or game director roles. The exec producer role seems to me to be more tied with general game production rather than world/universe building than in MB's era, but that's just the impression I'm picking up, and I could be completely wrong.

Oh ho, that reminds me, I was looking into the comments that appear for the mission providers. Specifically the intro ones to see what was common, or unique and noted the 'Haylcon Days' on an occasional comment.
Most probably related to the combination of faction current state, government type and commander's rep. Have observed the "Haylcon Days" mention for about a week just recently (during Tip Offs grinding)

PS: to be precise - Confederacy/Boom state

It seems that DW has taken offence at some comments and will no longer post/respond on these forums. We have lost our lore guru
Sad day!

Oh gods its kicking off al over the forums, lets hope this one stays as it is, this is my last refuge after Salome got solved :)

He was never my lore guru, I played Elite too early and ED too late to get caught up in all of that and a lot of players wont have heard of him, just because theres no real advertising anywhere for the books or anything in game. He certainly added some great events and that last riddle was just awesome and Im sure theres more footprints in game to be found but Braben is the lore guru for me, always has been, its his mind that created it all, everyone else just lives in and contributes to his world including us, he employed or asked Holdstock to write The Dark Wheel for his world.

Quite a few pages back, too many to find, I was on about Drew's home system and called it Eulaxia, finally found it again, its EULEXIA. Still an interesting system to visit but most of the tinfoil has been rubbed off for me as I found the answers eventually, the last one just 2 days ago on Drews stream, perfectly innocent reason and explanation and Id had fun with tin-foil for months looking for the follow up which wasnt there :) Still enjoyed the journey.

RE Merope Y - Possibly why the Thargs are interested in the system if its as rare as you say? Anything connecting it to Raxxla or DW or what you thinking?

Did someone say MB had said Raxxla seemed to be on a 50 year cycle and that time was approaching? Or was that another dream I had?

I commented on a vid by John Harper that Panzertard had found; John said that bit about a 50 year cycle, not MB, but I suspect that was his personal take on Raxxla & it may have been squashed by FD since it’s never come up anywhere else. See https://forums.frontier.co.uk/threads/the-quest-to-find-raxxla.168253/post-8301537

..damn ...thought I found raxxla :D it was only Dekker engineer which is not unlocked for me - it is hostile then and seems as "other" on map/scanner.
DsXHe9o.jpg

So I came to Iapet with fighter ship - no DSS on board. Map showed "other" signal and that's all. Nothing on panel (1). Nothing on zooming map view.
Then i switched to ship with DSS. Coming close to surface showed in (1) "other", so I could target. At some point close it disappeared and lost target, about 200kms to go and was draw on screen.
I think ..that how should DW station work too because it "hides".

Nope.

Cool, thanks for clarifying that.

Ok i searched and followed this lead alone for so long. Maybe its time to go public with it.
RAXXLA
this is the key. This is the compass, this is the map indeed.
This very word describes it.
but i didnt realized it before i read the Astrophel and Stella.
View attachment 163380

This is a page from that Astrophel and Stella. what do you see?
first thing i noticed was the roman numbers.
And thats the moment i realized it.
RAXXLA
is actually
RA XXL A
Right ascension 10 10 50
Now the last A is bit in fog for now.
but i believe it stands for "align"
you have to align something with that coordinates.
but what?
the SOL of course. The cradle of humanity.
If you go to sol, and from there you select REGULUS, (which has the Ra of 10 10 58), you will see that trajectory aligns with the gamma cassiopeia projection on the galaxy map ceiling.
I know its hard to believe and comprahend, so i wait until someone sees that.
YOu just need to go sol, Plot a direct route to REGULUS. about 78 ly away so u need the jumpaconda. From sol you look at regulus, there is that tiny little dot in the backstage, which i thought was a pivot point of galaxmap camera, but it isnt.
It is indeed, one of that five stars. Its the gamma cassiopeia projection which is floating in the ceiling of galaxy map
If you slide your cursor to the edge of map, you can see it clearly.
This video should help you to see it.

Please share your ideas about this. What do you think? Does it make sense? Or is it bullsht? If someone is willing to cooperate, i can share further things i found around this idea.
So is there a system at those coordinates? If so, have you been there?

You should be ok here. The Raxxla thread has its own silly seasons which are out of phase with those of the rest of the forum. It’s only rarely that they align.

Much like Raxxla and the rest of the ED galaxy come to think of it.

...

Oh god, I’ve said too much! Wait, what? Another ship in my witchspace tunnel? That shouldn’t be possible! It’s like it’s catching up with me, it’s shadow rising over me...

It's the engineer on the surface.
