Well, this quote was in game but since retconned. However as ED only has Milky Way...if Raxxla is in game, it cannot be a cluster of galaxies

When you say "retconned", do you mean Frontier has outwardly stated that line is not canon? Or simply that the quest text mentioned no longer appears? If it's the latter, I think it's safe to assume it's still canon as long as the Dark Wheel faction is the real Dark Wheel.

The latter. Safe to assume its canon? Not so sure? Why were they removed? We dont know.

a) @Macros Black was getting to close to finding Raxxla?
b) They were removed accidentally when missions ranking got changed from enforced to suggested and they haven't put them back in?
c) They went the way of Gan Romero and got removed because they were actively sending CMDRs down a blind alley?

I believe he means the mission no longer appears. FD never says much if anything about the subject.

Not sure how this fits, but....

Eyes are called:

The doorway to the soul
The key to the soul

Could simply eyes be the answer to that line of the riddle? Its definitely a little bit obvious!

Or, soul....pointing us back to the heart and soul nebula, tying in with my long held theory we "missed" raxxla during the Salome piece (although obviously not directly related)?
There has been quite an extensive search of heart and soul I personally think it would be found by now if something else was there.I have explored there for a few months myself (long ago). You would be lucky to find an unvisited system anywhere around there being a popular theory. But you should check it out for yourself it's definitely worth a visit and you could be right and it was overlooked somehow.

Where do you get that from? Just done a search & cant find it in TDW novella.
But it was definitely in one of the early ShinDez missions that disappeared from the board.
Yea you're right, again. I just reread that part. I swore thats where i read it since i didnt have those missions.

Also i dont think the in game the dark wheel is the real group. Maybe a front or diversion. Everytime im about to have them control lft 926 some catastrophic state causes us to drop rapidly. Its repeatable.

Space Madness mate! The cure is a large Lavian brandy (or 3), a bar of dark chocolate, and a good film on TV. 😁

Interesting. I did read one poster that thought the disappearance of those missions was an indication that DW in ShinDez is not the real TDW, and your bgs machinations might support that. The contrary evidence is that Felicity said in the codex that DW fakes are shut down, but they’re still there! So either she lies, or codex lies, or...
I suspect that the truth is as per Premonition- they’re “on the outer rim” of the organisation and a useful front. How they’re useful remains tbd!!

Well, The Dark Wheel is also expanded into LFT 926. ... and they are currently in a state of War in that system (just started war today - they were just pending yesterday). We could try to push further expansion. Since it is now in a state of War, INF is frozen till the war ends so to help The Dark Wheel you will need to go to those CZs in LFT 926 and join the side of The Dark Wheel.
After I get off of work, I am going to head over there and do what I can. I need the Combat Bonds anyway for the Juri Ishmaak engineer unlock.

Yeah. I have spent a reasonable amount of time down that way. Found loads of unexplored systems. First to discover a raft of biological sites. That was a year ago now though.

Is that because:
A) They are having their influence "capped" by the real dark wheel?
B) They are the real Dark Wheel and having their influence "capped" by a sinister cabal that dont want the finding R
C) They are the real Dark Wheel, but FDev aren't ready for anybody to get an invite?

I really hope it's not C. But there must be a reason as it's against game mechanics
