'Without that info...it will not be possible to travel through hyperspace to it'

So cant be 'in system' as need to be in system to scan it in the first place and we cant travel from system to system without FSD jump.

Which leaves the possibility that it was at least discussed and planned to have entire galaxy areas not fully shown on the GalMap? Was it on the cards to scan space in the same way as scanning systems? Or was it just Brown Dwarfs that wouldntbe shown on GalMap at first? Does any of this ring true with anything from those days at all? What on Raxxla was he on about?

Maybe we can ask fdev what was meant and whether it was implemented, it shoudlnt be breaking NDA?

You could try looking through the FD Dev Diary YT, and think there used to be “design forum” thread or similar; before my time but Han_Zen has a long memory.

Maybe ...we can track only gas giants as it is pretty close to star mass, this means it is rare, some like 0.1% article say. And maybe need special conditions, like some star exploded. Dunno, for now I'm gona keep eye on left and visit some closest nebulas.

That's getting interesting ...in +/- same cone found 2 more stars each has "inclanated" planet. All 3 has hellium, water, and Earth-like size/gravity.
So explosion could push out all planets and near-by stars got it. Question is if any planet still travels alone ...

Upd: found triple star there, A-B stars are close and have A/B separated systems with inclanated planets present + C star itself inclanated + C star has complete mess in own system..

Seems like explosition kicked whole star too.

This is definitely explosion result. All stars in small cone have inclinated planets:

I put a bet if we will find rogue planet that will be somewhere near nebula.
P.S. that planet has metal-rich circle, which is not common for M main star. And exploded B/A pair which is common to have metal-rich.
Sorry to say, I found plenty of these orbits 'everywhere', aka nowhere near any nebula or exploding stars.
For me it's been so common I stopped investigating these. Too many instances of such lone orbits.

Concentration what we check. I see near this one a cone. Nothing in 180 direction, i thought maybe 2 cones.
This means ...some 1 planet may still fly alone. Because concentration is big here.

Nothing on my current pos, but a bit right and each star has there:

So, it is 20-26ly to each star.
Counting like Earth 30km/s orbital speed, this is 10000 times slower then light. So there they could get during 250 000 years.
...weird, does not look as fit. I thought such nebulas exist like 10000 years.

...need to think should we search true rogue this same area or somewhere more away.
Got 90 degree on orbit, same around "plane", same 20ly star again...so this means, once radius detected, you can fly in circle and check remnants.

Ok, well, my patience ends here for now..

Looks like pretty fit to orbit. Each mark has wrong orbits. It's like 250 000 years ago some star just disappeared and things continued to fly until got by other stars.
+/- a method to investigate nebulas: find any system with orbits, then find another 1, that will be radius of "orbit" to check.

For now need to find any true rogue to be sure it is in game.

No, I would have believed it if MB had confirmed. Since he didn’t it remains as hearsay evidence & 1, 2 or 3 doesn’t really make it any difference. How many were in the room at the time? Perhaps 30 all supporting it....

As we’ve pointed out, whether true or false it doesn’t give any indication of the location, or nature of Raxxla to any practicable extent. Except perhaps it would lend some weight to the possibility that it‘s nature is more likely to be astronomical than artificial, or else it’s so far from the jump-in point that the original finder didn’t see it. I was just interested in nailing this rumour down as I don’t like loose ends. 🙂

I guess for the same reason that if one person say you own a goat, I may not necessarily believe it. If that is seconded by someone else who said you own a goat, I'll put more credence to it. Anyway rumors start when people start saying without evidence 2 out of 3 recant rather than just 1 out of 3 recant.

My thoughts on Raxxla is that, sadly I doubt it is accessable in the game. And tbh with the game in its current state I am happy with this. Here's why.

To find something as grand as the myth may suggest only to come across a world you cannot land on nor do anything with would be a massive anti-climax. It would probably be very bad publicity for FDev. In terms of storyline it is the primary drive for a lot of players.

Finding a world, a gateway, a Dyson sphere, a new race or WHATEVER Raxxla may be would be a million times better if you could tread into its ancient hallways or escape its grasp via the update using two feet. I'm happy to wait for it. Even if there is only a segment of the puzzle to discover come 2021. As bad as it may seem that FDev had lied about the Raxxla status, I prefer finding it at some point in the future and it meeting my expectations than finding it in 2016 and it being stock planet with a scannable signpost.

Let's not forget that most of the hype has stemmed from this very thread, that the hunger to find out what and where Raxxla is was nursed by the players that asked these questions. The hype was born here. FDev would be wise to take note of some of these ideas, some of them are incredible, some instances however of interactions with newer players have been quite salty. Such a shame really as this game isn't exactly massive in terms of its concurrent player base. The elitist nature to some of these groups heed progress to find anything if in fact I am wrong and make fresh minds wary to add their own thoughts for fear of ridicule.

Regardless of what the "elders" of this forum may or may not accept as community approved lore on the subject please remember we know that only the codex entry is confirmed lore in regards to the Raxxla subject. There is many examples of snippets of storyline from the previous games having some presence in ED.
Nobody knows what has and has not been ret-conned as there is no official statement from the makers of the game in regards to this. Any theory is as valid as the other at this stage as it is equally speculative.

The dark wheel novel may, or may not have been partially ret-conned. So to use this one example as the one and only source of speculation yet to dismiss other conflicting theories is counter intuitive.

Remember
Raxxla has been sought after since 2014 and not a single discovery has been made.

I may smell like a goat, especially after constructing the grandkids activity centre, but I don’t own one. I assume the misunderstanding comes from my use of the word “ kids” to mean my grandchildren whereas it is of course the name for young goats. 😁

You are quite right. This is how rumours start, or at least propagate. I misremembered one recantation as two. But since it only concerned hearsay evidence regarding a rumour that, even if true, does not give us any really meaningful information, I did not think it was worth the effort to go chasing forum posts to check; my bad and I am duly admonished! 🤧

Goatherd confirmed 🐐
Happy Birthday!

Friends, I have news.

I tried many things around LFT 509. Using population and government filter I have found a number of interesting systems.
Remembering Lave and Achenar importance in thinking about Raxxla, I looked upon Imperial Capital surroundings and noticed system
with a name of CD-58 16.
It is unpopulated system, Empire/Corporate/Extraction and has two planets. One of metal, One of rock.
The names of these planets are definitely custom: SUONTAKA and it moon S-ONE

Interesting thing is, searching in EDSM for this system, gives wrong body information on system summary:
Habitable zone:
Metal-rich body (2 to 20 ls), Earth-like world (311 to 467 ls), Water world (255 to 988 ls), Ammonia world (646 to 1,757 ls), Terraformable (242 to 484 ls)

While next tab ''Celestial bodies'' gives correct info about system bodies. This suggests that Frontier changed this system at some point.

Now, searching the whole forum does not give any results on Suontaka and S-One !!!

Does anyone have any information about all this?
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Now, I relogged back to game after a break and was shocked. I spawned as expected 0,17 Ls away from S-One and 0,19 Ls from Suontaka in normal space, but suddenly I hear unfamiliar music starting playing and my pilot doing heavy breaths during all of it.
I panicked, because of course my first thought was my life-support system failed, but it was ok and no timer visible!
Music stopped playing and with it pilot stopped making any noise. Normal ambient continued afterwards.

I downloaded Audacity program. Will try to reproduce this and record.
Heads up, Commanders!
I have found out that the Planet name ''Suontaka'' is mentioned in the book: ''Elite: Tales From The Frontier''
It said Admiral Duval had caught a member of the terrorist organisation that had targeted the Imperial family. The man was currently held in an abandoned detention facility on Suontaka, in CD-58 16. As soon as they received reinforcements, the prisoner was to be transferred to Capitol for interrogation and trial.

Annora slipped from the chair and headed to her room to pick up her few belongings. Her legs itched with the need to run. The man with the dataslate looked up and stared after her. She didn't care. In the photo, Erik's jaw was bruised and there was a fresh cut over his left eye.

She had to get out of here, now, had to go to Suontaka, to reach Erik before they took him to Capitol. Once there, he'd be like a fly inside an iron fist.
Very interesting quote.
It also confirms that the system is not kickstarter/charity reward.
I am currently re-investigating this system and have recruited some folks from Elite Week discord.
