It would make a very apt “river crossing”

Altair has six bodies - it could fit the second symbol on the garden axis

Ooohh maybe altair or vega have a way to get the polaris permit… i am thinking the location of the dark wheel…
I'm allied to all factions in Altair, no apparent Polaris permit through that route. Ofc another permit way could be possible in Altair.
Wrt Vega, I'll go see if anything moves.

Just came back from 2 Famous Explorer VIP missions. No leads on Raxxla, I'm afraid. On a travel note, the Galaxy was full of Black Adders, I curse them all to very dark places.

Remember that FD confirmed the Polaris permit was not accessible. It’s effectively narratively locked. Although granted we don’t know ‘when’ it will be or has been unlocked!

If you require a permit for a system, the system that issues the permit is likely the controlling faction. This and further information can be viewed in the Galaxy Map.

Not all permitted systems have a permit that is able to be acquired in the game. Polaris is one of these systems, and it is currently not accessible by CMDR's at this time.’

There are some interesting named planets in those two systems- of course trikora in vega and lowings rock in altair

Lowings rock possibly referencing cows rock … 😂 eye of ra? Awwwww nevermind - its Lowlings rock - bummer

For those who dont believe in Gan … please continue to do so 😜
Not sure about the planet names, but I did smile when I spotted the faction 'Vega Bridge Interstellar'.

A Vega interstellar bridge, would be nice to find. :giggle:

Ya if we are looking at the path of souls -

Crossing the milky way (river) is probably an important part - and vega /altair make for a good crossing point. I remember earlier thinking the point would be where the ecliptic and the milky way crossed…
I have been thinking it had to do with the two circles metaphor…. But ya maybe a fresh look is in order.

Orpheus used his lyre to access the underworld.

I also think Lyta Crane contains a few anagrams with Lyra / Lyrae / Lyre.

Oooohhhhh Signals in Shamash…. Fingers crossed
Halloween event.... Creepy audios!

Ya im a sucker for halloween - also i cant help but be intrigued by their system choice 😁

Anyone able to plot a route to Ross 54?

And do the Star Types load for you?

You should be more concerned by the presence of a faction from

We are apparently eyeballs deep into INRA stuff. One of the key systems to that mystery,
Gateway,
only has moons named for the founder of an organization which was featured in a prior Haloween,
and a rogue INRA agent from FFE (Gupta's Rock and Saunder's Rock).

Didn't the Adamastor appear near Haloween, too?

Let's recall the systems involved on the Thargoid crash puzzle:

  • Sol - no introduction necessary
  • Achenar - Imperial capital, center of the Lost Realms region and one of the ends of the Eridanus constellation
  • Gateway - headquarters of Edmund Mahon; starting point of FFE; couldn't possibly have a more suspicious name
  • Lave - pretty much the Old World per excellence, where the Jameson dynasty was born
  • Eravate - the first jump for most people out of the pre-Horizons starting point of LHS 3447
  • San Tu - the final destination of a puzzle comically full of errors, pointing to the crashed ship at last
  • HIP 17403 - a crashed Thargoid and a few large human ships, right next to the lower Pleiades

...and why did I stay awake until 4:30 AM writing this?

I've given myself a few days to think on it and, after my most recent exploration through the Lost Realms region (mostly spent around the triangle of Epona, Dana and Idunn) I have decided to share a couple of minor details that can very easily be dismissed as down to the procedural generation, yet could be intentional. Better to be safe, in case anything strikes a chord with someone...

1) There is an outpost called Brooks Orbital in orbit of Koknan A 6. (I mapped A 6 and there are just the usual Odyssey POI on the surface).
2) Col 285 Sector ZU-G c10-14 5 is a rare example of an Earth-like World in an uninhabited star system within the Bubble. It is only 237.91 LY from Sol.
3) In HIP 1742 (at Davies Vision iirc), I found a mission-giver on the concourse called Persephone Key (she's the first person on the left when leaving the elevators, before the stairs up to Apex). She was offering an illegal Odyssey mission for the HIP 1742 Purple Posse. I've never done any Odyssey missions and wasn't sure how to complete it so I did not take it.

Additionally, the system Tocorii has three tourist beacons - two ice geysers and a third around a regular high-metal content world with an atmosphere, although there is also an Earth-like World in the system. The text of the beacon (Tourist Spot 0474) around the hmc world (I did not visit the ice geysers as it was close to the end of my play session) says that visitors to the system often overlook the hmc world in favour of the other treasures on offer and that the locals don't mind that too much.
