LP/UCB link in my signature is now fixed!
(edit: the spreadsheets are Excel & locked; you can take a copy if you want to add changes. I will update the master if anyone notifies me of new data/errors)

Made the mistake of updating to latest Windows10 the other day; since when all sorts of things have gone awry!

Now, can anyone tell me how to change the darned text colour of that darned link in my signature, cos whatever I do seems to be ignored.
Darn new forum infrastructure, darn!! :(

Actually it appears you can - see last line of my sig.

Edit the signature, highlight the linked text, click the water drop icon, click the eraser icon at bottom right, click okay, click save.

I dont know if its just me, but in the mobile view for the forums... It seems to drop the signatures.

I'll be completely transparent. This whole "Off camera narratives disappearing from galnet" thing has shaken my faith a little bit. Haven't logged on in a week and haven't visited this thread in as much time. I mean, I knew there wasn't going to be an NPC shooting around out in the black named Gan Romero...but for FDev just to admit, so pointedly, that "yeah, just cause it's in Galnet, it doesn't mean it's in the game" has really done my head in. 99% of what is in the Codex is "off-camera." So is it also, like the late, great CMDR Romero, not in the game?

I think I've talked myself into taking a break.

I had a similar response to the Formidine Rift - I was so disappointed with the way that it panned out that it made me want to do something else.
I ended up relocating to the opposite side of the Bubble and exploring eastwards - took a 90kLY round trip to the furthest neutron star I could find/reach.

Set yourself some goals that aren't associated with Raxxla and just explore.

Maybe...bit burned out on that, too. With a skosh over 2 million ly's between two different accounts and having just gotten back from DW2...well. I'm currently in a lovely patch of undiscovered on my alt's first proper stay in Colonia. And I foresee being there for awhile.

I'll bounce back, I'm sure of it. I was suprisingly gutted when I read the guy's response to the Gan Romero story arc. I thought about all those people that had poured untold hours into looking for him. One chap even has a thread about his search here somewhere. And while(st), in the back of mind, I thought they were foolhardy to do so because surely Ganny Boy was a fluff piece; there was a small part of me that still wanted to believe...that maybe this would be the one story that panned out to having an in game connection....that all those hours wouldn't be for naught. But then to have it so summarily dismissed like it was. 'Twas a right good schawck in the bawbag it was.

I felt exactly the same way about the Gan thing. I'm sufficiently jaded that I always assumed that it was fluff, so I wasn't engaged with it, but I can see how it must have sucked for people who did. I think the thing that bothers me is that FDev didn't apologize for it (that I'm aware of) - they said that the realized that fluff was causing a problem because of Gan, but didn't go as far as saying "Sorry about that guys".

And not only did they not apologize, they doubled down and said the very excitement around the story was the reason it had to die. Victim Blaming 101.

I do appreciate the candor and the clarity, I do...but man...

Yes thanks, fairly sure that’s what I was doing. This is what I did to get the link in light blue in the old forum.
Just switched off the PC, will try again tomorrow!

They missed a huge opportunity to introduce a new storyline. After seeing the player interest they could have inserted in retrospect a Gan npc, or even an fd player, or just a breadcrumb trail to develop the storyline. Could have led to all sorts of possibilities. The fact that they didn’t, apparently aren’t interested in satisfying their players, is what depresses me.

Looking at the underlying code, you probably need to select more than just the text. Easiest way is probably just to delete the last two lines in one go (including any trailing spaces) and retype them.
