If - and only if - the current state of MitterHollow reflects the intended "state of things" (by "new" design) - then probably we have better opportunity for Raxxla hunting then some days before

... anyone noticed that the minor faction "The Hive" is the controlling faction in 4 systems named after the 7 Pleiades...

Their home system is Taygeta, one of the Pleiades names was Taygete.

Then they control 10 systems total, but heres the list of Pleiades names ones:

Taygeta - Mother of Sparta
Merope - Married a Mortal
Electra - Mother of the Trojans
Celaeno - Mother of the exalted rulers of the Fortunate Islands, the kingdom of the Blessed in the Greek afterlife, 2 of Poseidon's chilren

Im wondering if this has been explored and what was the outcome....

Just seems curious considering Maia's link to everything, and being a Pleiad herself, and the defacto leader of them.
Sterope, wife of Ares, isnt in game thus far, Sterope II is though.
and Alcyone, also mother to some of Poseidon's children, is a system with just a star...

Im not sure exactly how this relates, but it seems important, doesnt it?
Most Pleaiadian mythology was dissected and examined from early days. The Pleiades were a Thargoid hot spot in FEE and therefore drew plenty attention. When the first free floating UAs were found out there, the attention exploded.
Everything out there seem Thargoid related. No signs of any Raxxla connection so far, but it's an interesting cluster that everyone should explore.
Remember to check out the Tourist beacon about the Thargoid Probe at Merope 5C. :sneaky:

By the way, Sterope is in the game under the name Asterope.

Umm.... im gonna say.... probaly not... lol.... correct me plz if im wrong
But the Ryder Family does appear to have a faction in Maia.....
That faction as named in honour of the player Commander Ben Ryder. He did a lot of work, to get the first station established in the Pleiades. Obsidian Ant and Hagglebeard (he posts here from time to time) also got factions. Obsidian Ant did of course also get the station name.

Before Obsidian Orbital, there were no stations or bases in the Pleiades.

Why do you think it will make things easier?
Just by sheer numbers - and not-unlimited amount of commander's attention
Before the patch the "Other" type of signal has been attributed only to Engineers (let say dozen), Tip Off related crash sites (~150?), listening posts and similar (also may be hundreds, I don't have numbers at my hand)
At the other side "Human" were all planetary settlements (dozens of thousands), space installations (thousands?), combat zones (hard to estimate) and all special and not so special POI's (all those procedural and hand/intentional placed and/or designed). If my assumption is right and some POI's from the last category has migrated to "other" (and probably the most interesting of them) then their observation/discovery can became much more easier (and less speculative).

Oh I love good tinfoil.
AVALONIA.svg

This here is Avalonia, a microcontinent in Paleozoic Era. That's when Earth (that ELW in Sol system) had huge lizards, conifer forests, trilobites. Era ended in Permian–Triassic extinction event, caused by volcanoes or whatever. Big contributor into fossil fuels.

This is Cassini before crashing into Saturn. Saturn had that weird hexagon thingy at the pole, and was called a "black star" in some ancient religions. I like it when things are connected to really old stuff, like Indus Valley Civilization. Also that spacecraft is responsible for many space-themed wallpapers.
I think it kinda makes perfect sense maybe 🤷‍♂️
Do these sort of things happen often in the Canonn social media?

Also there is the Tornquist Line that borders avalonia...

But that’s only true if Raxxla is a POI, which I highly doubt. There is no evidence to support it, the suggestion arose from Holdstock’s TDW novella (“planet with alien artefact”) and Wagar’s Oolite books (hyperspace-capable wandering planet with alien artefact) , the former has been retconned by FD and the latter is fan fiction (though a good read!) and not relevant to ED. And Raxxla has been in-game since gamma release, so well before Horizons, hence it cannot be landable. Raxxla ought, logically, to be an astronomical phenomenon, and sufficiently novel to be a worthwhile find at the completion of a long tedious frustrating search, so I’m mooting an Exotic Star (though it might also be a rogue star wandering between systems, and I reserve the right to be incorrect!! 😁 ), or perhaps a Diamond Star (good luck getting it back to a market for sale! Though it would probably pay for a fleet of Fleet Carriers!! 😉)

Just learned that Star Citizen is getting Space Whales...

LOL I cant play Star Citz half the time.... my comp is wicked (i9 9900k, RTX 2080, 32gb ram) but S.C. only ever plays at 35-45fps... well I have a native 144hz monitor and it looks like ...

I log in once and a while to just wander around Loreville Subway and stuff, but Im really waiting for some fps optimizations, atleast bring it upto 60 fps stable.....

If raxxla is a location i imagine they might have "improved" upon it since its creation ( much lile the zurara was changed from an anaconda to a mega ship) but ya i have been toying with the idea that the omphalos rift artefact might be a key that turns certain blackholes into wormholes.... thus the door could be hidden in plain sight.. unless u have the key.

i like that idea, only question is now, how to find the omphalos rift... it could have been missed in the Delphi system, but unlikely in my opinion, so where else could it be?

Yes, I've mooted black hole rifts before, and ended up banging my cockpit on the exclusion zone of about 80 on this quest...
not found anything so far, but there's always one more to try! ;)

Edit: another 3 this afternoon! 🤕

I am, of course, not saying you are wrong....who knows??? But why are you so sure that Raxxla has been "identifiable and discoverable" since Gamma? Do we have any evidence of this?

There are lots of things that have been "in game" since Gamma, but some we couldn't explore until Horizons and others we wont be able to explore until Oddessy.

As soon as Oddessy lands I'm going to be landing at Olympus High, crashing through the doors of Sue, Cripple and Sneer and demanding they tell me who exactly "A Friend" is, and on what dark starsport I can find him....using my "new technology" to persuade them, if required

Yes. I'm now quite convinced Precambrian era lifeforms on planet Earth were actually Thargoids, wiped out by a passing Guardian Arkship or something.
