I dont know about neutron stars being whisperers... but there is that one reference to the audio sounds in the witchspace tunnel by fdev ( 1.3 update) "Improved mix on hyperspace tunnel whispers and flybys." https://community.elitedangerous.com/fr/node/190

Also the mentions in the Generation Ship Logs...
Generation Ship Epimetheus: "It’s whispering to me. I can hear it through the air vents. The void is speaking to me. It wants to tell me something, but I can t make out the words. It must be a way out of this prison. A solution to the puzzle."

Generation Ship Thetis: "Still all quiet out here in the black......They’ve heard some kind of strange whispering sound coming from their apartment comms unit.... It’s the same message relayed again and again and again – it’s more a whisper than anything else; it says, ‘kill them all’..."

I like to think the whispers are coming from the murderous Guardian AI who inhabit a secret realm within witchspace.

Thanks mate, not seen that 1.3 update change list before. So FD officially said there are whispers in witchspace! Next job is to decide what causes them!

There at least seem to be some incorporeal intelligence capable of telepathic communication, lurking in the galaxy. Both Halsey and Romero have presented their experience with them, on Galnet.

Guardian AI are a good candidate to have evolved into these 'Caretakers'.

There is definitely sound of whispering/voices to be heard at Guardian sites, so I think they inhabit their comms network. It was striking when I was gathering guardian relics to drop (“omphalos”) when I was investigating the double black hole hypothesis.

The Guardian ruins checks all the Raxxla boxes of old. Planet with alien construct. Gateway to the monolith network (probably contains virtual universes for the AI). Acceptable distance to the bubble.
Their existence was even known and leaked by the Club (band of elites).

Perhaps this was what Jason found evidence for, not the real Raxxla?
Perhaps we have found a bunch of Raxxlas? We just haven't figured out how to activate the gateway.

I would be surprised if that was the answer, but who knows?

The idea of directional audio at the guardian sites pointing at other sites or other stuff is rather interesting. The thargoid stuff tight beams shows they are capable of hiding stuff this way. We never got an explanation for the rotating stuff under some of the sites in the early days. Perhaps the audio beam is rotating around like a radar disk as it scans the sky. A rotating signal would likely need 9 cmdrs to coordinate in 3 groups of 3. With the groups 120 degrees apart, and ~10 degrees of separation within each group.

Lave Radio 319 Seemed to suggest some sort of rare/elite missions might still be popping up on missions boards. (it seemed to be in response to something a dev said regarding how the mission board works with regards to mission visibility/ mission spawning.) So looking for oddly worded or rare mission/mission types on the mission board may be worth doing. They have done stuff sort of in this vein before with regards to the thargoid worshiping cultists and black flight (at least i think they where black flight ship. (it has been a while since these missions spawned, and my memory if foggy) They where studying the thargoid stuff at any rate) ships if memory serves. (missions hinting at story stuff yet to come)

thatll take you to page 9, cant do a p1 link.

Whats this about Thargs? I got that they inhabited Witch Space in a way humans couldnt access (in response to Q about Col 70 being their 'home') but missed any telepathy or whatever connection?

Edit: Yes the AMA last for 1 hour, Wed 15.00 UTC / IGT. Done 2 so far with 3 CMs Bruce, Paul & Stephen and Arthur (Lead CM).
I think the connection with the Thargs is that FDev confirmed Thargs inhabit Witch Space, and Whisperers in Witch Space may only be by the (now confirmed) Thargs that inhabit there. Nothing else confirmed (as of yet) to inhabit there. So (as I see it) it can only be the Thargoids until any confirmation of something else is there. 🤷‍♂️

IMO Quite a bit of solid evidence slipped and maybe an unintended clue by FDev.

I think the widely held opinion is Thargs are the Whisperers of Witchspace. Without any real evidence its been that way for a while.

but Im not sure the Halsey and other incidents are 1) even connected to each other and 2) connected to the Raxxla mystery.

So maybe they kind of confirmed the whisperer bit, maybe not, all they did confirm is that Thargs inhabit WS as they used to and was only in doubt in ED itself afaik. More interesting I thought was the Col 70 implications. Carefully worded as not the 'home', doesnt mean they aint got a nice second home there, but if not Thargs, then what in the name of Baldrick is that Sector locked off for!?

John Milton's 'Song of the Spheres' and Delphi.

Going over somec really old notes, Milton does bang on about the spheres a fair bit...may try this tack again.

Might be the Guardians Home world(s), might even be Raxxla itself. Who besides FDev know?

IMO The confirmation of Thargoids inhabiting WS possibly opens up a whole lot more than just "Thargoids Inhabit Witch Space". As I see it, it could have now been possible that the Thargoids that caused Jameson's miss-jump, amongst other unanswered quirries. The Thargoids could be the ones that left the residues of sound at Guardian sites with there Scanings or whatever they do, searching for whatever?

The Thargoids themselves could be "The Door that is also A Key" and the Omphalos Rift could be Witch Space itself?

Or I might be just completely wrong in the assumptions. 🤷‍♂️

Got some more Phekda tinfoil. This time it involves New California. Apparently in the historical timeline New California was a planet terraformed in Alioth back in the day. Yet, there is no New California there now (I haven’t verified yet so don’t hate me) but there is a New California in Phekda and Epsilon Eridani. Why create a timeline with a strange terraformed planet that causes mutations in Alioth that isn’t there in game and the nearest “New California” is in Phekda instead? I’m confused. Here’s a timeline someone made of Alliance history, note the mentions of New California in Alioth, unless I’m missing something.
Credit to CMDR DNA-Decay for compiling the timeline entries.

Bonus tinfoil: Galnet article detailing the discovery of a nuclear weapon on Earth of the coast of California. Might be nothing.

I’ve said it before, but if you look at the word Raxxla, well...
Why the double XX?
Sounds like the rubbing of limbs on a wingcase to me!

Due to the proc. gen. naming convention in FE2, there was a bunch of New Californias, New Africas, New Americas, New Caledonias and so on. This made it a bit difficult to follow the news articles in FFE, that largely used the same galaxy.

Quite a few of these 'New' names have carried over to ED, but some have been lost. Many of them because the old galaxy simply had to many earth likes in a system, to be astronomically viable.

Tyko is slowly making his way back from Goliath’s Rest, but keeps getting distracted to dive Black Holes and do a bit of surveying on the way. Came across an MS star today, not seen one of those before!

Edit: and I hear that Sirius Atmospherics is going to be terraforming Ammonia Worlds in the Coalsack.
Think there’s going to be an awful lot of angry Thargoids buzzing around! 🦟🦟🦟🦟🦟🐝🐝🐝🐜🐜🐜🐜

I know this is potentially 'old' Raxxla lore, but I had a curious thought when I recently picked up a tubular key at home (I know I hear you say, who has time for RL?!) and it aligned with the statement - "A certain celestial body. You know the one I mean. Place that isn't a place, door that is also the key. The myth."

So I did a bit of delving, and if you look at the red bolts of the lock image below, they appear to be the same shape as the outer black boxes on the Raxxla logo?

Which lead me to think about the Guardians, and specifically:
It'd be a journey we'd all have to take, as someone finding Raxxla this way would still prevent anyone else from just going directly there as they'd also have to activate all the Beacons, and unlock the guardian sites?

It's also something FDev could track as it's in your codex?

The goids are going to flip. They will probably start ammoniating earth-likes, to return the favour. I'm sure the Alliance is doing this, to make trouble for the Empire and Federation in some way. They are up to something.
