There are systems near the old worlds well within a 7 ly jump range that were not in the old games.( such as cd-34 9020) Perhaps these systems could use a closer look.
Hey, I'm reading through Sagitarius Eye #36. Can anyone clarify this claim about Raxxla being within the range of an unmodified Cobra MKIII? In range of the craft from where? Is that meant to suggest that Raxxla is somewhere in the initial Pilot's Federation introduction systems that we're locked out of after leaving, or that if you can somehow get to Sagitarius A*, then from there it's within the range of a Cobra MKIII?

It is pure guessing. In the original game we flew a Cobra with 7ly range. That is where the idea came from.

Edit: tried slow approach at both poles. Now trying at Neptune.

Yes - the only downside towards any theory concerning Saturn and it’s hexagonal poles is that they are not replicated in game.

But is there sufficient competing hypotheses to warrant that it ‘is’ the poles of Saturn? Just because something is not confirmed in game (Sols asteroids) doesn’t mean FD haven’t included them within the mystery.
One has to take on FD MO of external information and practices to unlock game based elements, so it’s not outside the boundaries of possibilities. Again playing devils advocate, because it’s almost certainly not, because it’s not in game.
Being scientific ought we also include theory which could be in game but FD simply haven’t put them in either due to poor implementation / lack of scientific understanding or that at some point, FD will flip a switch and bingo, Saturn has a hexagonal pole… here be Raxxla… FD just turned it on?

The north pole of Saturn is actually quite close to earth's north pole. It's in the far north of the cepheus constellation, at about 85° declination.
I think the NGC 188 cluster is the closest interesting location. That sits high in the galactic plane, but has become reachable. You might need a fleet carrier to get there?

the Twitter post from Braben’s account mentioning Saturn I thought was interesting as he quotes the hexagon, so we know he knows about it and the naming competition reference is from 07, so plenty before the game launch. Something that can’t be ruled out in terms of timeline, but I knew someone would check it out nearer sol than me at the moment…Thought it would be interesting for your Saturn theories!

You know what's really bugging me about this, in my primordial initial ventures into the exploration of the Raxxla myth, is the notion that the developers are insisting that it is in the game and that they aren't giving us any clues- which would, sort of by definition, mean that anything currently within the game about Raxxla could potentially be poppycock- including its existence. Like a mobius strip of nothingness
The Saturn hexagonal storm was a big thing at the time, but its not the only possible explanation for the logo hexagonality.I was waiting for the Jorki response
In 2001 Space Odyssey apparently the monolith was close to Io.
So far I’ve (well, delegated to Tyko while I was investigating the Hesperus survivors mystery- got some nice photos of the nebulae near Barnards Loop!) approached the poles of: Jupiter, Saturn, Titan, Triton, Pluto. And I’ve searched some craters on Iapetus & Charon. No hexagonal storms (though there was a faintly hexagonal feature on Io) & no monolith found so far.
However this does not disprove anything
If “it” is not set to show on the scanners until you honk within, say, 10km then it might never be found (I keep in mind the possibility that the purpose of the codex mention of “TDW stealthed station” is actually to tell us that Raxxla/Omphalos is hidden this way). As I’ve pointed out the odds of being in the right place for that to happen are pretty slim, even without a 30km/sec minimum speed in SC and a 6 second build up to charge the honk and 10 second recovery time. 
Various sources place the 2001SO third (Star Gate) monolith (though could be getting confused, insufficient breakfast coffee! there were a couple of books and later films which I havent seen) : 1) orbiting Io, 2) on Iapetus, 3) orbiting Jupiter 4) on Europa, so will keep looking. However in an earlier search I found an apparent movie clip which showed the third monolith with a blue light reminiscent of Guardian technology; typically I cant find that pic now (edit: may have been this https://2001.fandom.com/wiki/Jovian_Monolith). Also the similarity of Guardian monoliths and those in 2001SO is intriguing.

I see AEGIS is now in the Orion nebula, at the Orion Tourist Center. Previously this was just one lone asteroid base and two factions, Orion Tourism and Save Space Party. That's all changed now. Been calling it for a long long time, once activity in Orion occurs, something big is gonna happen not long after. See, Orion nebula, and Barnard's Loop are in the center of Orion's Belt, which are the three stars Mintaka, Alnilam (Epsilon Orionis in Elite) and Alnitak. See for yourself. And we know that the Great Pyramids, and a few other pyramids around the world are for some strange reason aligned with Orion's belt. Why? Well no one really knows. BUT, we do know that according to the Alien World, the Oisir-Raxxla had the Egyptians build those great pyramids, and that they were going to be a fully functioning Talmor Lens', which was gonna keep the Oisir-Raxxla moving on their merry way of conquest across the universe, but that they built them wrong in Egypt and ended their mission forever as a result. This inching closer and closer to Barnard's Loop is breathing life into the validity of The Alien World.

One of my YT vid where I deleted my 3x Elite original GURU-951 Account at the Orion Tourism Center (Go big or go home), and the second, a secretive invite that took place at the same exact location a few months later, but for GURU-95i, which isn't even the reincarnation of my original acct, but my alt altogether.
