I left my explorer Phantom at Jacques, sideycided back from Colonia and picked up my Krait2. I’ve been looking in Ejagham for a couple of days, though not found anything yet.
Reason-toast destination clue answers likely are given in-game:
jewel on the brow of the mother of galaxies (Sol, Galnet 14 June 3301 https://news.galnet.fr/simguru-offers-to-share-tomorrow-today/“Sol is the birthplace of our race, the shining jewel of our galaxy” & Sol faction Gaia was the mother of everything in Greek myth, including of Uranus the Sky)
To the whisperer in witch-space (Sirius), the siren of the deepest void (Sirius/Lucifer-Paradise Lost?)
The parent's grief (not got a candidate for this, some system between Sirius and Ejagham?)
the lover's woe (Ejagham Tourist Beacon #0315 is the only original beacon that mentions lovers).

Also the original Horizons start menu pic (now obfuscated, but still briefly shows occasionally!) depicts an old style twin-ring station (definitely matches the codex TDW logo) viewed from a twin icy moon. The twin moons Ejagham 4c&d are icy, though the pic moon surface is IMHO better matched by one of the other planet 4 moons. Cant match the star background, but likely FD have manipulated the image to make that difficult- I think the depicted orbital geometry is not realistic; the Ejagham star is an F type which could match that pic. I’ve looked around all planet 4’s moons but can see no station. Ive looked at nearby systems with O to F stars & not found anything that matches as well. Perhaps my missing step is affecting things?

Edit: forgot to say from Galmap Sol, Sirius and Ejagham are close to a straight line, consistent with journey directions. Ejagham is not far from Achenar, and Achenar was founded shortly after the date of the first Raxxla rumour.
Edit2: there’s a Siren system, must check this afternoon to see if this might also fit into this hypothesis. Ah, RL gets in the way of gaming!

Edit3: Ejagham has no comets as far as I can see

Mmmm, since the start menu pic is clearly heavily manipulated (depicts impossible orbital dynamics?) it might be just hinting that the TDW station is hidden somewhere within Ejagham not just around planet 4. And IIRC Rochester had some indication that "TDW station is not in-game at the current time" (not got the reference for this mate!), HOWEVER that would be quite true if conditions haven't yet been made to instantiate it from the server!

Just tried the galmap search bar with 36031831136536939, Pareco Comet 2, and Pareco comet, nothing worked
but Halley's comet does highlight Sol, weird!

and how come the two Imgur image links Ive posted above worked when I pasted them in, and now don't???
edit: repasted the links!

Edit2: checked system Siren but it’s well off the path Sol-Sirius-Ejagham. Ministry is perhaps close enough to that path, but don’t really see a fit to “parent’s grief”

I think only the named comets are searchable in the galmap.

My indication of the real DW not being present currently, was an assumption, based upon the FD feedback to a loaded question about the DW invite in the Codex and invite in the game manual, compared against the logic outlined in the codex - ergo that that the real DW faction is technically never visible in game, so can only ever be found via the supposed invite or finding the station, so technically FD are indicating by reference in the codex and manual these elements are active!

I followed on that if this was not the case then FD are technically advising consumers to waste their time tilting at windmills (not in so many words… but the intent was loaded).

It’s true their response was arbitrary but my initial question was loaded, so to answer with any response other than ‘it’s a bug, working, or lore; indicates (to me at least) affirmation of a positive response.

FD response was that: ‘there are certain factions and invites’ (namely the real DW) that are not currently active’.

This of course doesn’t mean the station isnt accessible currently, just the faction and invite (but why)?

Mmm, yes-Grey's comet tracks to Lave. But then how does the search know what is searchable and what is not??

e.g. I assume both Pareco comet 1 and Grey's Comet are "SmallBody" type, not visible in game

Ah, clearly I misunderstood!
Perhaps we need to activate the storyline involving TDW, and by implication Raxxla, to be able to find/instantiate either? Perhaps "they're not currently active in game" means nobody has found them yet?
MMM, methinks now to start searching SD for clues!...

The crash at ID 68 doesn't only happen in this system, but even to others (i still doesn't figure out why, it's not related to station type)

Edit: Once you done all stations, the next ID to search crash the galmap, so stations are the last 'objects' to be detected.

I notice the comets only seem to be associated with event "SupercruiseExit". Perhaps that's why they dont show up on scans. Must check Halley's & Grey's for event type!

Don't waste your time with that.
Even if you exit supercruise anywhere, you will drop at the nearest body (could be main star, the planet in front of you,...).
The nav beacon/honk give us the bodies but not installations/stations at first and don't show at all comets BEFORE you target them with galmap.
Comets are associated with SupercruiseExit event because it's the only way to come closer to them.

For this:
"Mmm, yes-Grey's comet tracks to Lave. But then how does the search know what is searchable and what is not??
e.g. I assume both Pareco comet 1 and Grey's Comet are "SmallBody" type, not visible in game"

=> I think that if the comet has a different name than its system, it shows in the search.

Hear me out - we fundamentally misunderstood Faraway and it still exists. This can be backed up from looking at quirium based purely from an in-game lore standpoint and adding some very basic science.

1) Hyperspace technology arises in Sol with Li Qin Jao who's team ultimately establishes Sirius Corporation. It was slow and finicky but it got us to the stars. Era of rapid expansion begins in earnest by 2230 (per "Early Colonies" tourist beacon in Delta Pavonis). This push is made up of individuals and corporations. Navigation was independent at this point already. Jumps are not externally configured but they are slower.

2) If you read closely about quirium, Galnet states it's formula which was a secret which was lost (see "Galactic News: Hyperspace - https://community.elitedangerous.com/galnet/uid/586f796c9657ba3357039d07 ). The question should be was it really? Taken from from purely scientific point there are few energy sources that match the punch of either fusion of hydrogen or the matter-antimatter annihilation reaction. Quirium is produced industrially in vast quantities and sold for a few Credits per LY. This means Type 2b hyperspace wasn't dependent on Thargoids so much as a reaction to Thargoids. We needed fuels that wouldn't ignite when our ships were hyperdicted. We needed a way to get back to safety as quickly as possible if the ship didn't possess weapons (supercruise). This was solved via a mini-fusion core and a navigation computer that not only locks jumps but locks out human ability to power off the FSD during inter-system jumps (just try to kill power during a high-wake jump). Mis-jumps still can happen and you can readily demonstate this by killing power to your FSD during supercruise.

So what was GalCop wanting kept hidden - the fact Faraway never died. Faraway, in fact, may have predated Lave itself because it is older than humanity itself and may even be known by another name: RAXXLA. Faraway, in fact, matches the stargates as described in "Tour of the Universe" and the novella "The Dark Wheel".

Here's the description per Holdstock and Malcolm Edwards "Tour of the Universe" of a stargate. Sounds awfully familiar to description of Faraway in The Dark Wheel doesn't it?

Now, whether we are searching for something physical? Probably. Though, I think there is something to the "cosmic enlightenment" mentioned in the Codex. I have some ideas on this based on the earliest colonization efforts which were largely detailed in Frontiers gazette. I also believe there is more than one stargate (or Faraway network node). In the images from "Tour of the Universe" there are three so one probably one per superpower but that's just a guess. I believe the old lore is there if one only pays attention. I think the artificial structures and artificial power sources aren't human built but humans are trying to understand them. Faraway network very much sounds like it may possibly be the same network mentioned in "Alien World: A complete Illustrated Guide". If anything, Raxxla was lost because we forgot where we came from. It just doesn't make sense that we had independent navigation then suddenly we don't. No, we found artifacts of a long dead civilization and that became Faraway network. But, if we want to find this we need to seek out what happened in the earliest of colonies. If there's a place we need to start looking, it's at those systems and reconnect the missing pieces.

I can't help myself of think that a generation ship were se close from Raxxla during its journey: THETIS!
When you read the creepy logs, they tell us the comms got a message from a planet in a system they visited 15ly ago at a point between Sol (start? or another old world) and Nefertem (where the generation currently is).
People searched for it but never find it.
Bug? "Intended gameplay"? or something else...

It is suspicious, and this is another area Im keen to explore (one of many), now granted there are no direct links towards Raxxla, but it does occurr within the sphere of influence set out by the date from Tau Ceti, and it’s pretty peculiar.

We have no concrete evidence to state otherwise, but if it were on a direct line of sight trajectory from Sol, then we need to look for a system (at that time uninhabited) 15lyrs away, in line with Sol. And then apply a 15lyr bubble around it to search.

If relevant it could provide a temporal hotspot within the sphere of influence - if relevant.

It’s true their response was arbitrary but my initial question was loaded, so to answer with any response other than ‘it’s a bug, working, or lore; indicates (to me at least) affirmation of a positive response.

FD response was that: ‘there are certain factions and invites’ (namely the real DW) that are not currently active’.

This of course doesn’t mean the station isnt accessible currently, just the faction and invite (but why)?

Again it was an assumption only, I hope I am wrong.

and just like codex states, The Dark Wheel faction currently in the game are imitators. I did my research and Dark Wheel is a hidden society and for that reason it can't be a faction.
