Limit the bread and potatoes and keep the beer and wine flowing? Sounds like a stereotypical meeting from a Russian mobster film!

Thanks for continuing to support this perpetual development project![]()
I love Aegis ships.
That really is an excuse of buyers. More and more outsiders seem to say: "I am kinda interested, but what point is there in earning in-game, when I'll be competing with people who have everything". And in a way they are right, why would you do that, especially on day one, in a system as small as SC has? Star Citizen is needlessly limiting their player base further and further, catering to whales to the point that it detracts potential customers.so long as they can all be earned in game it is possible it will all be ok
What ship is that you're using? I can see it's an Aegis...but not a Warden...and nice Attritions too.So there is always a base level of jankiness. So it can be hit or miss. When it is working well it is a good bit of fun.
SC has a mode called decoupled which is similar to FA Off in ED. It is different in that you are only "newtonian" on the directional axes so if you are going forward/back/left/right/up/down you have to apply counter thrust to change direction. With no input you continue in whatever direction you are headed in.
Rotational axes are still dampened. Roll/Yaw/Pitch, if you remove the input on any rotation, you stop rotating. It is much easier than FA Off in ED. I almost always fly decoupled in SC. Even with joysticks it is easy. Not like having to go relative mouse in ED to be really effective.
I do like actually being able to yaw in SC. Makes going back to ED feel awkward.
There are so much different kinds of PVP. Griefy boi, 1v1, wing, mission, ground fps....
In this latest patch where the flight model got more like ED, they also made getting to top speed much easier. It used to be two different modes, but now it is all the same and you just accelerate to your top speed. Ships in SC are much faster, 1200 m/s would be a normal top speed for a combat ship.
The downside is you get people doing strafing/jousting runs or whatever and they blow past you at 1000 m/s and then drift out 5000 meters because they can't stop. This is impossibly boring. Can also get into big circle strafe situations, which also less fun.
SC also just added auto aim gimbals like ED gimbals. At this point they have no counter like chaff in ED. So that is really annoying. I have not really been using them because I am hoping they get some sort of counter / balance. Hard to say if they are really that effective, but they make people who were awful at least competitive.
If people stay in close and fight it is much more enjoyable.
This is me getting my butt whipped by Sundae from SDC. And what it looks like when two people stay close in:
Fight in close
So this is a griefy boi, jousting and jankiness example. Through out the video you can see stuff skipping around, the aim pip bouncing all over the place. At 3:25 after the big ship blows up, his buddy starts to engage me, but is zooming insanely far past me.
Big ship boom and the zoomy boy
And then this, if you want to be a good boy, I've picked up a player bounty. If you are a criminal, other players can pick up your bounty and track your location. This guy is just finishing a drug running mission when I show up.
Just say no to drugs
EDIT: Just realized two of those videos are planet side with atmosphere. The ships handle quite a bit different in atmo as well.
What ship is that you're using? I can see it's an Aegis...but not a Warden...and nice Attritions too.
BTW I remember when your avatar picture was that boy as a baby.....time is flying...life goes on......except when it comes to the SC we are still stucked in pre-alpha loop.....given a choice of running out of food and running out of beer............................. i would give up the food 1st
so long as the game comes out
Personally I do not get the rage from all this monetising for ships...... so long as they can all be earned in game it is possible it will all be ok. It could also be possible it will be a huge P2W mess of course but proof in the pudding will be in the eating and I am prepared to keep my toys in the pram and see 1st.
in the KSer FD had a tier for having a meal with DB, this isnt that much different really. IF kids are buying these tickets and getting themselves into dept i feel something should be done, but adults can spend their money how they wish.
I am more concerned about selling off prime choice plots of land for cash as well as the LTI deals, as they will unbalance the game potentially far more imo.
but if a player wants to buy all their ships day 1 with real money, so long as i can get them in game (and we do not yet know either way how this will go) then what ever.
I cant think of anything more game spoiling than buying all your ships with money.
$65 pledge here with a little 300i and a copy of episode 1 of S42
Whilst on one hand i wish i had gotten a refund due to backburnering VR, and yet tugging on the other hand i wish i had gotten in a week or 2 sooner to get episode 2 of S42 as well....
over all I am interested to see what happens with this game still.
What's with the dirty rag? Are you hitchhiking?Well...after I found the damned cockpit...or is it bridge? On the 890 Yuppie yacht...this was after 3 attempts since it took me so long to find a working elevator to get into it... then wandering aimlessly around inside trying to find the bridge, the ship was stored twice before I actually got it off the planet. I eventually found one of my mates who knew his way around one and showed me the way...personally... I think it needs idiot signs all over it. I landed a Cutlass in the hangar area as a test a bit later on, which was nice, a bit like strapping my Harley onto the back of a motorhome I suppose...
It's very white and full of glass bits...like a municipal toilet facility and very much in the same vein as the 600i explorer... which I had before I melted it...and loathed for the irritating dental whiteness of it just as much. The 890J is certainly of no use to me since there's absolutely no function for it...it does have 3200 SCU of cargo space..but I can't land it anywhere exceptLagvilleLorville or the Hotel California of Area 18 making it a zero option for the cargo shuffling.
It's very pretty (if you're a dentist)... but also pretty functionless...which also goes for the equally pointless $675 jpeg of a beer-can-thrower Ci¬G are now trying to sell, war bond as well so new money only...no CCU'ing something else up to this one. Perhaps someday they'll actually get around to working on something to do with the rest of the broken and useless ships they've sold, put into the project as flyable but half finished and totally ignoring any actual gameplay to go with them

Almost all the flyable ships are available to buy in game now. So can see at least how CIG is thinking about it now:

I know what CI¬G was trying to replicate, which makes the whole thing even funnier for how Fyre Festival-level badly they went about it all. That last paragraph - wow.
You are still mixing up speed (velocity) with acceleration. Even going at a very small speed, but in an instant, is an infinite acceleration. Actually that applies to any change of the vector of direction that happens in a non-linear fashion. Which is the case in SC.I like your pedantism! So I'll correct my hastily written reply as follows:
Of course, while this is a step in the right direction, due to regular wipes, most players will never buy most of those ships as it would require a lot of grinding, struggling against bugs, only to lose it when the wipe hits.
Its alpha, they could slash the prices until they stop the wipes.
Of course, that could cut into their ship sales.
It's my mum's old kitchen curtains...What's with the dirty rag? Are you hitchhiking?
