The tension.....SC.....next-gen survival gameTwitch streamer SaltEMike has been making a go of it, getting a group to do hand mining and sharing profits. The players have to be careful not to bump into each other because it can cause instant death, and they lose everything they've mined.

I had drama last night when someone asked if I was excited for Citcon and what it would reveal...Seemingly, my reply of..."Meh, I'll be playing RDR2 on my PC by then and probably won't even see the return of the sandworm." Wasn't the required answer.LOL, love how they tag it with "drama", because any critique of SC is of course drama.
You've been outed as a filthy FUDsterI had drama last night when someone asked if I was excited for Citcon and what it would reveal...Seemingly, my reply of..."Meh, I'll be playing RDR2 on my PC by then and probably won't even see the return of the sandworm." Wasn't the required answer.
It really upset some of the little server snowflakes, who also thought the counter of... "I suppose you'll also be playing that built for console lame Cyberpunk rubbish next year as well then? Lol." Would somehow be a good comeback (it wasn't)... then came the hurling of abuse, calling me a Derek Smart goon wannabe, how SC would simply outclass RDR2 and Cyberpunk since it wasn't a console game...and SC was made in America and not some foreign sh**...
Did I somehow manage to log in to one of the US servers by mistake?
These folk were pretty speshul, even in the Star Citizen world...I suggested they should get out more...meet some real people who didn't play Star Citizen...

Not quite the level of Richard Garriott who got a letter telling him he was a satanic perverter of american youth, but it's a start. It really upset some of the little server snowflakes, who also thought the counter of... Damn, just ordered the parts for a new rig. Now I'm not sure if it will be enough to run SC.Oh, some of them are definitely darlings
One of the semi-popular streamers got into a "discussion" of acceptable PC specs with a good friend of mine. Nothing wrong with that of course - but when they declaimed that they had the fastest SSD and internet connection on the planet and Star Citizen was simply too visionary a game for pleb gear, many screenshots of droolingly expensive enterprise kit, SAN arrays worth more than my house, actual backbone link, and single digit FPS were worth all the effort. And all the lulz![]()

Oh I'm certain it will run everything just fine. If my current 10 year old rig can run SC, even just barely, a $2k+ rig should barely break a sweat running most games.Build any rig you like - it'll be a wonderful rig!
It won't run Star Citizen smoothly in a consistent manner, no matter how much hardware you throw at it; because Star Citizen is fundamentally performance limited at the provider end. If you fancy a laugh - have a good look at the actual traffic![]()

That's really the only reason why SC can't tap into the lucrative console market: it would never ever pass cert for even the shoddiest knock-off.Build any rig you like - it'll be a wonderful rig!

Don't see why anyone would really care. Nothing new in the video. Everything they said is already baked in.
Sounds like the US ArmA serversI should add that I don't normally meet the crazies playing SC, even as much as I'm a regular customer to the funny farm. I was on the latest PTU which tends to mix server occupants from everywhere. The EU servers are surprisingly polite and well mannered...as has been noted by a few US players who prefer popping over the water to play for that reason alone.
Maybe it was a coupon day for Fortnite players or something...although I did note that the frantic monkeyturd hurlers were all fairly new fanatics...all flying $50 packages in the main. Apart from mild delerium, most of the mid to concierge level backers I meet tend to be older and a bit more...real...Less of the "I hope ur mom dyes of cancer!" comments in general....and yes, I did get that particular turd hurled casually from the sidelines too![]()
