Game development takes time, especially when you have to rewrite the game engine to support everything SC is going to offer.

If it takes that much time then how come that your "messiah" didn´t know that fact?He was the one who said back in 2012 quote:" We're already one year in - another two years puts us at 3 total which is ideal. Any more and things would begin to get stale".....Which I think was the only truth that CR ever said........repeat after me:" things would begin to get stale"....Capish?....GET STALE..........

Let see meaning for STALE:

2. Lacking originality or spontaneity: a stale joke.
3. Ineffective or uninspired, usually from being out of practice or from having done the same thing for too long.

Actually, I was predicting issues on CIG's forum that have since happened at least a year before DS went public with his views, so technically I just softened the cultists up a bit for him. No one cares if they announce delays, what people do care about is successive delays on top of delays on top of outright lies.

No salvation awaits, only delays and excuses. CIG deserve to be critized and pressured regarding any and all information from them due to their past failings. Blind faith gets you pushed into holes, open eyes let you step over them.

Semblance? I play it daily with family and mates Some of the best experiences in gaming I've had them with Star Citizen already, following it's evolution is just as good as playing it actually! It's a honour and a privilege to be part of this project.

He sold Digital Anvil to Microsoft. So obviously, he stopped being the CEO. By the way, it was Microsoft the one who cut features to push the release of Freelancer. Despite the game being only half of what CR wanted, it is still considered one of the best space sims of its decade.

FYI ; Being "bought out" is not at all the same as "selling", one is on the owners terms, the other is not so much.

They absolutely had to cut the game down, to bring it to a point where it was marketable as all of CR's proposed 'features' would have meant an even longer delay and a missed market, it still took them 3 years after the buy out to get it to a point where it was releasable. History is now repeating itself only this time there is no publisher to bail his company out.

I just find all the delays, excuses, constant sales of things that have little to do with a game and the reactions of the fans, incredibly funny.

Exactly, he spent all this time "rewriting" CryEngine to try to do what he wants - which is constantly changing as well - that he should have just picked up a team to build a complete engine as that would have taken the same amount of time and he would know for certain what it was fully capable of and it would do what he wants... well at the time he decides to scope out the project but since his wants are always changing it really wouldn't matter since he doesn't even know what he wants (DUKE NUKEM FOREVER!). It's been pointed out several times before, and always some halfwit response comes back from the devout but the true answer is CR simply focused on eye candy and that was all. There was no investigation into what the engine could do, it is well known the engine is for FPS and that is it, but that was all CR was focused on... eye candy. Just another example of his ineptitude and incompetence.

You should look up "Estimates" on the dictionary, that's what every project does with time-lines, stop assuming they were "promises" and acting like your sweetheart betrayed you, it's just a video-game [big grin] (can you imagine us in our 80's thinking about this, oh god [wacko])

But it's neither of those highlighted things. You're not a part of the project, you bought a product. You're a consumer, nothing more... You weren't chosen, you have zero input, and the only requirements you met were giving CIG your credit card details.

The fact SC can't stand up for itself says it all. It's only toxic because apparently the truth and reality are the antidote to the reality corrupting nonsense that is SC which stings the nerves sedated by lies, obfuscation and deflection.

Usually with estimates, you take avalible knowledge, experience and good judgement into account to give a something reasonably accurate as a "best guess".

What CR does, is cut the head off a chicken, then have it dance around in a large room with floor tiles that have dates scribbled on them, where the chicken drops dictates his next 'estimate'.

Obviously I'm just estimating his method, but by using my experience, knowledge and good judgement in his abilities I'd say it was accurate, at least as accurate as his estimates are anyway.

Being consistently wrong with delivery estimates is not a sign of competence, it isn't a flippin' virtue.

If there were any accountability in the project at all, it'd raise serious questions. But there isn't. Backers have zero recourse bar getting a refund, and the hardcore won't do that because that'd be admitting they were wrong... so they pretend like it's not a problem.
