This game just isn't worth playing at the moment

I got fed up of seeing mostly wing missions in the board so popped 3 passenger cabins in the Black Betty ExploraConda and headed out with 3 explorers. Hopefully the missions will be fixed when I get back.

I think it's time Frontier added cash bundles to the store. I not ready to quit yet, but FD does need to respect people's time better than they have shown since the promises of less grind back in 2.4. I can only see this bringing more players in and more money to FD to work harder on core issues and maybe hire some better creative people who understand how games should work.

No, no, no. A thousand times no.

Seen a few mentions in here regarding 'buying credits for cash' from our store. As we've previously mentioned (numerous times I think!), It's not happening.

Good.

Sometimes I feel like griding for cash sucks because I like to be able to afford things. However there is absolutely no point in having a crime and punishment system if the damn criminals can just simply go spend 20 minutes working it off.

I agree with Aasehfox, There is no moral difference between grind to win and pay to win. It's semantics. Do you grind in the game or do you work a job "to grind" for a salary. For those crying unfair, remember we have groups like SDC that have used every exploit in the book for 3 years straight and can eat ATR's for snacks in their super ships. In the end they will always be ahead. At least cash for credits will give a new player a decent ship so they have a fighting chance. I say everything should be for sale and critics should be honest and say they have class envy or are socialists.

And This. Fdev is willing to play favorites (multiplayer, combat pilots). How about me. I pay for cosmetics and I enjoy them. I am willing to waste more money but Fdev holds their nose up and saids we don't want you money while favoring multiplayers. I guess I just have to wait until the Chinese take over. They understand capitalism.

Oh come on it's fun right now. Look I had some spare cargo space and managed to fit in an extra 30T biowaste delivery with all the others I had.

The rewards were amazing 306,225 credits for only 30t of human waster or....oh hang on. What the hell?

That's a really bad idea, microtransactions are toxic to the game. It will become balanced around them and the "average player" will be expected to make continuing purchases of credits, while people willing to spend hundreds or thousands on them will be given some means to stomp all over competition with their money, or get free materials with their credit packs, etc. Microtransactions are toxic, they will ruin the fun of an IP *especially* a multiplayer IP.

I continue to get daily rep for saying it's time to consider real money for credits on the store. Perhaps Brett, you should not knee jerk so easily, and maybe urge da management, to actually consider it seriously. If I thought they had done that, actually researched where it works and where it doesn't, I would happily respect their decision if they still decided not to do it.

I hate to state the painfully obvious, but this is not the game it was 4 years ago, and neither is the digital entertainment climate what it was the first time someone said (and I agreed with them AT THE TIME) that money for credits would never happen.

Argument from popularity. Also, no game is the same as it was four years ago. This is a non-argument, as there are still many games around without pay-to-win mechanics doing just fine, current 'digital entertainment climate' notwithstanding, which in case you've failed to notice, is railing heavily against pay to win mechanics right now anyway.

i am the only who actually enjoy the game "per se"?, i mean, in my last login i did 22 jumps, unlocked Engineer Lei Cheung, ran out of phosphorus while doing upgrades, landed on a planet in the same system put my headphones, music, and started collecting stuff from the surface. Idk, there are a lot of to do "while" others get fixed...

When i started "playing" this game, an old Cmdr told me "don't think about money on this game", and i think is a good approach for playing it, a lot of my session are PURE LOSS, but they are fun, since then i make some balance, have few ships, but i like 'em all, i did an "all around" one (first one waas a CONDA, now is a Vette), and while i do space truckin, i can scan stuff, blow up some vessels here and there, recover stuff from space, get destroyed, etc.

Lot of guys here make some sort of "checklist"

something like:

* i need to get 238492374238948932748923748972398743298482394 billions credits ASAP
* i need to have max cargo of mats, scan data, etc etc
* i need to be elite x3 RIGHT NOW
* i need to be top 1 pvp player FKING RIGHT NOW
* i need to be allied with all factions
* i need to max rank with Feds and Empire in 2 days
* i need to have all the big vessels
* i need the engineer 'em in 2 hours
* Estimated time for complete my goals: 1 month.

Doing that above u just make an awful experience of ED, IMHO... just 'cuz ED is a grindy SOAB...i just try to have fun on every session, the others things come sooner or later. i only HATED ranking up on Federation and Empire (5 ranks honestly)... that's was unavoidable for me and i fking hated it

Anyways. hope to see ya again cmdr. ¿can i have your stuff? lol

+1

This commander gets it.
