Ships Type-10 Released!

The type-9 can only keep 2 medium mining lasers going with the class-6 PD. It's the primary limitation of the ship as a miner. I think folks who want to use this ship for another purpose other than killing Thargoids were hoping that there could be another role this ship would be ideally suited for. It was unlikely that Frontier was going to make this a Cutter competitor for trade, but at least with a type-7 PD this ship could have been a VERY good miner as you could have used 3 mining lasers and a ton of collector limpets.

Another ship with a size 8 optional internal. I will have to look at this as a possible cargo hauler. Can't haul as much as an iCutter (has more optional compartments than the T10) but may have other advantages.

Looks really a nice vessel, aside from that spoiler thing. My big question: How much it can jump (maximized out, no engineer)? Small question: What does the cockpit looks like?

Again not for non-horizons people... :-(

I think the universe might be trying to tell you something. You know... It might be time to spend that 30 bucks and upgrade to the latest version of the game? ;)

(Unless you are on a Mac, in which case you have my sympathy)

Again a big ship with NO SIZE 1 module slots - many dont care I know, i find it ridiculous. As if the manufactures dont know that there are some size 1 modules that could be better fitted in a size 1 slot instead WASTING SPACE using a size 2 or 3 or 4 slot!

Ok, I never tried that, because even with 2 lasers I get so much chunks that my limpets often failed to catch them all until they drift away. So never needed more than two mining lasers. And with more collectors I have less cargo space, so since I am no power miner, I can work with that layout just fine :)

Cool, but does it handle more like a whale in water or like the T9 a whale well and truly beached :D

THIS is the burning question!

I made the mistake of only checking the launcher news before starting my session this morning. Now I have to complete a bunch of Pirate Lord missions before I can freely head over to Shinrarta and pick up my T10.

I'm going to go ahead and just buy the ship and start working on engineering upgrades rather than taking in a bunch of outside opinions on the ship ahead of time.

It's still going to be a good miner, better than the type-9 obviously, but it was SO close to being great. I am processing my grief over the class 6 PD and probably will replace my Type-9 with one of these anyway. The better handling and increased jump range are nice upgrades.

Now I wanna ask, how do you even mine?

and there it is again, the questionable facepalming engineering of 3303 AD.
