It's not even the credits to me - I have always been very very careful as to never put myself in a position to get killed or be killed - that's what bothers me - in reality I don't die!!! and it means a lot to me. Then to die due to a game bugs - well it's (fill in blank with word)
KB

Once FD fix the bugs and implement Ironman (1 life) you're going to enjoy the game even more :)

Since yesterday after server went downfor 10 min, I had huge problem connect and play. I have no problems else with any other games. First time I have problems with ED sinde december.

Then I see the page it say unconneted. or I cant even start the client tell me server problems.

FOr sure, and bugs are to be expected. The issue many of us have is that there were known game breaking bugs present in testing that made their way into the released product. The thing is, the beta testers also never saw a release candidate to test. Since it was an open beta, there was a very broad eco system for a test bed, and it seems that the advantages of having such a good test bed were largely squandered.
Not my perception at all. There was a release candidate and it was called gamma.

One of the most important parts of the beta test was to get the network code scaled up and working outside of a stable fast internal network. You wouldn't want to have found some of the early beta network bugs on launch day. There are still some bugs remaining - there are plenty of edge cases and a complicated hardware and software chain - but the launch of the game was the smoothest I have ever seen for a large multi-player game (Diablo III is the usual reference point for this). So I'd say that the broad eco system test bed did its job well and wasn't squandered.

For any software system that is released to production there will be known and unknown bugs. Only the ones that break the game for everyone or an unacceptably large number of players are of the Must Fix kind for a target launch day. The closer that day gets then there is a strong element of risk management and workaround rather than break something else. Grumpy cat got that right (e.g. NPC trading not quite working properly in the background simulation - missions still work and combat is still there so the players can workaround it until the high risk fix is delivered).

You could try flushing your DNS before you do this - it is really doing the same thing. Type something like 'how do I flush my dns' into google for info.

Thanks for this tip - Having tried all the other suggestions (of which a couple gave marginal improvement) on bad download speed, this may very well be the last part of the puzzle.

In fact, you might want to add your tip to the relevant Support Forum thread :)

Cheers, and have +1 Rep on me

Open Start -> Run -> CMD (Enter)

type in : ipconfig /flushdns (and Enter)

Now that some bounties need to be collected in system, there needs to be a search function in the galaxy map for minor factions.

This fix is about the minor factions not in power in their systems that have begun issuing bounties since v1.1; before, there were only independent system ruler's bounties to be collected in their respective home systems, next to the bounties issued by the big three.

Oh, also, the wording of the respective patch note suggests to me that you can collect bounties issued by factions present in multiple systems (corps. and neighbours expanding into a system) on any station in any of these systems.

Still crashing, i dont know how to submit ticket. i just want to play. Going to play some StarCraft 2.

You go here: https://support.elitedangerous.com/open.php. Would recommend you login (use same login/pw as the launcher) first though so you can track tickets. Select 'Player Stuck/Unable to Play' in the Category. Use a Game Version of 57605.

I'm pretty sure he was referring to 1.1 not 1.0

You still need to know which system they are in.

First, thanks for the good work!

Second, why the heck are the updates so slow to download? It usually takes several *minutes* while displaying "Downloading manifest", and then again the download itself is really, really slow - loading a few chunks really quickly, then sitting around, then some more progress, again some minutes doing nothing... I'm on an i7 and have a 100Mbit pipe, so that can't be it. Why aren't you using some nice CDN, or S3, or hell, even BitTorrent? (Maybe you're already doing one of these but heck, it doesn't feel like it.)

Have you tried that : https://support.elitedangerous.com/kb/faq.php?id=56
Especially that part : "Could you also please open the control panel on your PC; select 'Internet Options'. Select the 'Connections' tab, select 'LAN settings' and make sure "Automatically detect settings" is unticked."

That fix my download problem like magic for me.

I think I've identified the cause of the constant "reload all" bug I mentioned in the previous update thread. It seems if you have a module that isn't fully loaded, but disabled in the modules section, it won't get reloaded with everything else, but you'll still get the "reload all" option, and it'll still take your money without reloading the modules, and continue to present the option to reload all after that.
