still unable to reapply the default Drake-class carrier layout if another layout is selected (was hoping the change to the outfitting might fix this, but guess not)
Can't believe this is still not fixed - this would've been the perfect opportunity to sort this out after about a year... utterly shambolic.
 
So... do you have to be in your ship to initiate a jump? Why not from the command chair? Am I missing something?

Ah, you do it from the private CMDR room...

With only a small amount of re-rolling my crew are now nearly all identical clones.

Having re-rolled everyone's avatars may have been necessary but why did we have to be limited to a fraction of the holo-me's power and a single uniform?
What's extra funny is you can't even see any of these NPCs in person, only the bartender and pioneer rep. Lmao, what was the point in ruining the portraits?
 
On-foot access to the shipyard is now available

Got all excited thinking we might be able to go into an actual shipyard area... but of course not.

Love the interiors, love the jump animation, but the services are frankly speaking, and excuse my French, a steaming pile of doo doo.

Barman is a heavily manual process, no ability to trade like at stations, no ability to exchange. Can't set to both buy and sell. So if you want to buy one thing one moment and then sell at another moment, or others coming to buy and sell, you have to faff around. I'd hoped we could trade with our own barmen like on stations.

Supplies are also pants. Ok, maybe there are no random upgrade/engineered weapons and armour... a bit of a shame, but all i can buy are energy packs. I can't buy any of the other consumables. Why?

Its a bit of a mixed bag unfortunately.

Oh yeah, and the bar cost like the shipyard..... that's one expensive bar.
 
Hi, i live offgrid on batteries and solar, please reduce the FC jump countdown, i can't game for that long, 1 jump is one session now

I'm hoping you can answer a few questions I have (can't get into the game due to work yet, and don't have my own FC so will take a while to explore all the new bits on other people's carriers):

  • is the jump animation the same as before, or has this been upgraded/changed somehow?
  • is it possible to trade data?
  • from what you're saying above, is the bar trading menu essentially the same as the FC commodity one? If so that would suck indeed.
  • I thought the shipyard area is a separate room, is it not or is it just very basic?
 
Am i missing something somewhere, but is there no way to access carrier management screen from the command room? I sat in the command chair and the little screen on the right moved into position and its not selectable. Really? this would have been the perfect way to access the management screen. I know i can use the insight hub, just seems like a waste of time standing up and then accessing the instight hub, when you could just click the litle screen and do it.
