Update 11 Patch Notes

There's no Apex service available for Fleet Carriers nor will Apex drop people off at them. There's a few reasons for this, including not wanting players to get stranded (especially newer players who are more likely to use Apex).
Yep! We have kind of bad experiences, even though the whole idea was kind of brilliant, and it led to rescue "missions" as well AFAIR.

I'm a bit disappointed by this, sometimes it's nice to do on-foot stuff and not worry about flying. It would have been nice to be able to Apex to stations to pickup and turn in missions.

Maybe FCs can have a way to have a mission board connect to the mission board at a station in the system it's in?
How should there be a shuttle service between two moving objects, where no one knows if Point A or Point B will be there at arrival?

An arriving shuttle would force the destination carrier to stay where it is, until the shuttle arrives...

Edit: I'm excited about carrier interiors, and I don't want to be that guy who is given one new feature and immediately demands another. I'm really just posting to say it would be really nice gameplay-wise if Apex to/from Carriers could be considered as a future potential feature.

That's a big disappointment. I have 2 friends with Odyssey who planned to remain on my carrier (they don't own ships and wanted to play the game entirely on foot.)

I wouldn't mind so much, but trying to carry other commanders on my ship ends with them stuck in a Braben tunnel about 20-40% of the time, even with port forwarding configured correctly on all machines. I saw this happen to Arf once or twice on livestreams, and it's wrecked some good teamplay more than once for me. (You can't share a completed ground mission, so they fly to the mission in my ship, help me complete it, get tossed out into space when I leave the settlement and then relog only to lose the mission and the rewards. It's a big talking point on the streams I play on, believe me.)

Aside from team play there are also many, many times when I just want to play the game with mouse & keyboard and not have to hop in a ship and remember what all the buttons, dials and switches do on my hotas + button box. (I have rudder pedals too, so it's sit upright to fly.)

Since you already have escape pods, the stranding risk is taken care of. You could block Apex to carriers if they already have a jump programmed, and divert an Apex if a carrier jump is programmed while the taxi is in flight.

There's been quite some discussion about how Apex to/from carriers might work, and what the pitfalls could be. Every problem has a solution.

I think there should be apex shuttle service to fleet carriers, that would be great for commander who don't have a ship.

Ok, I'm I. Colorado and no update and not able to play yet. I'm on Xbox so I'm not as excited as everyone else here for obvious reasons. Just sittin here doing training missions hoping for a miracle lol

Thanks for the update (for when I can download it) and the patch notes.

I am curious about the Cargo Loader used in the Protect missions though - I keep visualising being able to get into an Aliens-style exosuit type power loader lol.
Well, even if that exosuit is not being implemented for this mission, at least we have one more thing to ask for :)
Devs, exosuits when?? 😳

I think since their stock tanked we could see console Odyssey to replenish their stocks and funds
