Update 11 Patch Notes

Concourse themes fail to apply. Default - Research - Extraction... but no matter which you change it to it won't change colour despite it being set to the other two @Bruce G

Additional info: I have a course plotted and it was changed through the insight hub and the terminal.

The bad
1. The crew avatars have all been replaced, and now outfits and faces are not random and boring.
2. The flight deck crew are mutes, they don't chat, I think the cat got their tongue.
3. Jump timers have increased to 30 minutes.
4. The fact that you are forced to sit while jumping is lame. It even kicks you out of the 3rd person's camera.
5. When jumping, even if you are already sitting, it teleports you to the main deck chair. You wouldn't want to be hosting a party in the VIP room.
6. Swapping interior livery requires that you relog.
7. The fleet carrier administration filter is still bugged in the galaxy map and does not appear.
8. apparently, it is illegal to talk to a bartender while sitting on a stool at the bar in the year 3308.

The good
1. The new jump effect is pretty cool.
2. nice to walk around in our own ship, even though it's a big ship.
3. seats I don't know what to make out of it, great we can sit now.

Wish list
1. Fix Tritium refuelling, so I don't need to get into a ship to refuel (can I sack my tritium depot crew they have never done a days job in their life)
2. Add a way to plot routes

Even after relog one carrier jump takes 40 minutes. Hopefully it's a bug.
It is claimed to be a feature due to every carrier owner that has got to sit in the bridge ordering a jump to see what it looks like, it will probably return to normal after you have all got it out of your systems and the game doesn’t have to deal with many thousands of simultaneous jumps.

Update 11 has arrived!
Thanks Bruce!
I'm a little confused about which bits apply to us Horizon folk. There's a Horizon section at the very bottom with 7 things listed. However, some of the others sound like they might apply to EDH as well as EDO. E.g.:
New “Protect” missions ask Commanders to defend against criminals attacking delivery routes.
A hitcheck issue on the Krait Mk II Raider ship kit, preventing some weapons from firing was fixed.
(in fact, that second one is listed in the "Art" section despite seemingly having consequences that are very non-cosmetic).
Can you please clarify if only the very final items apply to EDH?

Ok, so I went to the "jump theatre" in a FC, and it looks cool in VR and all that, but how to find a FC that is jumping, so I can enjoy the eye candy?

Again, they used to look like this:

A tad disappointing but after the myriad of Odyssey updates both the FC and SLF crew have been disfigured in various ways so perhaps it´s best to start over anyway. Shame that apparently service stats reset too upon hiring a new crewmate on a fleet carrier.

Mid-distance planet terrain textures appear to be more solid with regards to shimmer aliasing artifacts, have only been able to observe from a single view point so far though. This makes AMD FSR an attractive option again, here I am running 4K with AMD FSR set to balanced on a GTX 1080, a slight drop in fps compared to 1440p with Normal sampling:

I did notice an overall drop in fps back to what I was typically seeing pre-update 11 when the Settlement alarm went off (havent verified as I was messing about with Graphics settings and relaunched the game), I assume that is the CPU intensive hive mind AI kicking in.

Woah. The jump time seems to be going up quite a bit.

Did I miss where it said in the patch notes that jump times will be increased?

42 mins for an FC jump? really? I thought I can try out the jump before I have to leave the damn house...

The jump times are all over the place. I've had 20 mins and now 35 mins. Bug?
It's like nobody reads the thread before posting. EVERYONE is jumping and loading down the servers. It should return to normal.

Just to clarify this as I'm not sure I read this correctly but -

does this mean if an FC doesn't have the shipyard installed, one can't access the FC concourse at all? Please tell me I'm wrong on this one.
This seems to be the case. I have no shipyard installed on my FC, and I can only change ship, or modules, from the menu inside the ship.
It does not matter that much, however, since I cannot disembark anymore (waiting for it to be fixed). 😊
