Thank Paul and thanks Frontier Devs for your continued support with Elite Dangerous.

Because at work this week has been the time to be jolly with work Christmas parties today has been the first time I've been able to read the patch notes. That's definitely a first for me as I usually read them the second they're released.

I enjoyed reading your witty comments throughout the patch notes Paul, they made me smile. :)

This may be the wrong place to ask, has anyone heard anything about the Major Update we have been waiting now over a year to hear about? Asking for a friend.

I think the only things we know about the future is that we've been told an update 18 is coming some day, and that some day they would share information about the major feature rework.

I'd tend to agree. Best to not expect anything at all. Hopefully it's true that they will continue to develop and support the game, and hopefully sometime next year things will have settled down at Frontier and we'll get some more information about any eventual future plans for the game.

I think elite is an awesome game without any updates.
Besides, updates can both improve it and ruin it, and even more likely ruin it, as it was the case with Destiny or world of warcraft. everyone understands this, that's why Fdev is doing the right thing by releasing updates so rarely. :giggle: (y)

My own approach is “Assume the next update to allow the story to continue is coming unless explicitly said otherwise”.

It may be called heresy in these times of doom, but it works better for me than to be dragged down to the pits of despair. I’m seeing those enough elsewhere.

i think no-one can tell the future,so whats the next major change in game,keep it going is all i ask the rest i can handle it still fun as are the forums,proves we are players and not just digging,we support the game,well i have the last 9 years at least.my stuff isnt going anywhere haha. no names mentioned jack and rat ooops sry,lol
