Update 9.01 - Patch Notes

Agreed, an updated note in this very thread from a CM would do the trick. Only needs to be a sentence long. If they know it already and have shared it on stream already why not share it here for those that can't watch a stream or don't want to.

They have a real penchant for knowing things and not being able to wait to share it with us, but still postponing said sharing to a later date.

Again I'd like to argue that posting a condensed transcript of the streams would save them from a lot of unnecessary questions and players from a lot of headaches.
Ideed. And I believe that all timetable control should be given back to the engineers - CEOs and marketoids should pipe down and let the professionals work and release the work WHEN IT IS TESTED READY, not before. OK, maybe not all control because then the developers would never release anything new trying to perfect everything ;) but most of the control. And the emergency roll-back option should always be at hand. Maybe some beta-test server for the community - that would be a good way to get massive testing team for cheap (i.e. for the ARX or special cosmetics or other perks in the main game).

I actually think they are firefighting so hard right now that they cannot provide accurate info.. but that being said, if something is mentioned on stream they have a whole team of 'Open and Honest' CMs.. you'd think one of them would post it here as a matter of priority to manage expectations and frustrations.

I would also just like to say that I came in from work today on my lunchbreak and did 20-25 minutes of testing to confirm issues for a CM.. why am I doing this? If I who has payed as a customer can do it on my lunchbreak for them the supplier.. where are their employees on their lunchbreak? They could've confirmed this themselves surely. Perhaps they wanted to get various data poinst from different setups but nowhere was that mentioned. It was almost like "Is this working now guys coz uhhh we dunno..and can't be bothered looking/don't have time to look"

It's messy.

I have just scanned this Frutexa Acus.

I could not scan the same plant right next to it.

It's still all conjecture on our part, we can only take (un)educated guesses at why or how things are as they are. I agree a permanent test server is a good idea, but I don't think there's any need for (monetary) compensation. Things like unlimited credits, unlimited resources and availability of all modules, modded or unmodded, should be enough of an incentive. Think of it as Minecraft on Creative. They could also just have a custom, smaller scale "galaxy" there with convenient placed testing beds for all kinds of activities.

Ideally they would be doing that already with some experienced and knowledgeable players in-house.

Nah, you need a healthy mix of people. Newer players do things experienced players never thought about. If it includes the "all guns & ammo" type of approach I'm sure you'll see plenty of traffic from both new and old players trying out ship configurations and suit loadouts to their hearts' content. Hell, you could also organise community-type activities there with free for all battles and SRV races and whatnot to test the net code and other multiplayer things.

I'm sorry for the outburst but this is not an Alpha or Beta, this is supposed to be a full release. After 7 months of issues a simple we'll tell you when we can is not enough. Is the community supposed to just be silent and wait for a product that they paid for to have it's issues resolved? The forums are supposed to be the place to, among other things, communicate your issues with the game openly. How else should the community express their frustrations?
No it isn't an Alpha or Beta and unfortunately it is a badly flawed full release.
I would prefer an honest we will tell you more when we can to some placebo.

By talking about their problems with the product and not the people involved.
