you need to pick up a permit granting mission. those are only issued in systems close to the sirius system, where sirius corporation is present.

Yeah, I'm an idiot. But Ive got all the permits now and am just awaiting my asp to arrive to replace my condo. Thanks. :)

I'm just trying to unlock all engineers. Haphazardly it seems.

As a clarification for this, its never been the NGC 2264's around the Cone Nebula itself which were locked. It's the NGC 2264 Sector, the ones around the Cone are labelled differently then the ones that have the "Sector" Label, which are still locked.

Currently reputation-grinding with the Crom Silver Boys faction. Got some updates about their presence.

Present in system and in control of one or more stations/outposts in space:
  • 69 G. Carinae
  • Laifangyi

Present in system but in control of surface ports/colonies only:
  • Bunuras
  • Un Narraya (note the double "r" in the name - "Un Naraya" is incorrect)

Present in system but not in control anywhere:
  • Bembarriosk
  • Herthe
  • LFT 568
  • Trukampasuk

Not present in system any more:
  • Alpha Chamaelontis

Just caught the tail end of the war in Herthe. Unfortunately it's now over - shame as wars seem to be the only way to get rep with the Crom Silver Boys if you prefer combat.

In case it helps anyone, today I picked up a permit for Terra Mater from the Brotherhood at William Bertram Ayres station in Hecate. Became allied a few weeks ago, but couldn't find the permit at the time.

What permit to get next? I have:
Sirius
Terra Mater
Jotun
Alioth
Crom
I think that's all the ones that give obvious benefits. Are any of the other independent systems particularly interesting?
