What are you up to, it asks?

Well, I've just come back. Not sure when I last played, but I went most of 2022 not playing any games for various reasons, so... it's been a while.

Not going to post a separate comment to ask questions/catch up because I see a few people have already done that lately. So I just thought I'd drop onto this good old thread and say hello again.

And what am I up to? At the moment, figuring out all the new stuff. Everything has changed. But I will be off exploring again in my beloved rickety old AspX, The King of Rome.

It seems I was in Colonia last time I played, so I think I'll head out 'west' and then work my way anticlockwise around to the bubble.

Just as soon as this update downloads.

It doesn't seem to be all that necessary I must say - I seem to be doing ok just using G3s. Having a suit with shields that last longer would be nice though, and so far I've not found one with that particular mod in Pioneer Supplies, so I'm pretty sure you have to do an engineering grind to get that.

As for doing other things just to make a change, apart from raiding settlements in missions or whatever (I'm very familiar with most of the settlement layouts now from doing all those CZs!) I'd still like to get my trading rank up and my ranks in the superpowers up if I can.

You can get a faster shield regen for a suit...

For me, though, a G3 gun or suit just wouldn't be enough :D

And my Merc rank is now Elite. I still only have G3 over-the-counter weapons and suits, so maybe I'll do something different for a while just to make a change, such as pinching stuff from settlements so I can upgrade my weapons...

Hugest congrats on the top marks :]

I find Mercenary rank a slow process at the rate of rounds/missions I play, but have found a fun new way to pick up the pace a bit as I work my way through Gladiator...^

Respect for the "less is more" approach to combat/fps games in general notwithstanding, you may find that G5 suit handy when it comes to AX PowerUps...^

An Executioner. I'm getting irritated with those one-shot-down-with-your-shields-ninja's that reduce my life expectancy in a CZ. So... not quite sure of mods yet but it'll focused on payback.

I'm building another one myself atm - going to combine the best of my mk.II & mk.III builds - now where are there some MI's ...and how did i run out of Superbase again? ;]

I knew it!

You are trying to have guns with every possible combination of modifications, well I suppose it is one way to find out how big the storage limit is.

My beloved Asp Scout is called The Queen's Gambit. Such humble ships, such regal names. Love an Asp, feel as though they're a bit overlooked, these days. Welcome back!

Yeah, it's pretty underwhelming.

It's just what we expected -- hive ships that look like the crashed ones that have been in the game for years. And of course some of them are bugged and don't even shoot back. Even the ones that do shoot back, there's nothing to do there -- can't enter them, or destroy them, or...anything.

I'm glad that I have spent no time worrying about them :p

Some folks seem to be having fun though, which is always good.
