Nah.Time to get friendly with a feedback cascade railgun!
I go for brute force. Triple engineered Pacifiers. You only have to blame yourself if they can manage to cycle their shields between your attack runs.

I've also discovered that ramming them several times knocks out their shields for a time, those bigger ships move pretty slow and I can stay in close to them.Time to get friendly with a feedback cascade railgun!

So does mine for ED, I've set it on high priority in steam.I didn't know mine downloaded, what the heck. All other Steam updates get put in a que except Elite, they always DL whether you want to or not. Must have been in the fine print, you must DL all updates immediately.
It seems that all the Thargoid combat in U15 is hard. Harder than before. I see a lot of posts about it. Since the Revenants are new, perhaps it's a sign of the times. The Thargoids are getting more and more dangerous.Eeek - just watched this. Looks like a very difficult CZ where the enemy just keep coming and you have no team mates to help out. I wonder what grade of suit and weapons they were using...

Oh! That was your own actual vid? Didn't twig that! Great work!Tbh it seemed to be more because I was going in and at them - if you destroy them, more come, like an old wave shooter really... it's actually fairly easy to sneak in undetected - really, as with so much in this game, it is coded to respond to one's own gameplay... if you want action, they will bring it... if you play stealthily, that's the gameplay you will get... :]
With a G5 suit / weapons, the Revenants are not particularly daunting - they have perhaps "G7" equivalent armor, but no shields - any weapon will work on them, but a long range laser (ie: Aphelion) is quite effective for staying out of harm's way while you pot them - it's a skeet shoot, really ;]

Krait Mk II, I have four engineered military grade hull reinforcements with deep plating enhancements, it's a pretty stout ship. What were you in?
Didn't twig that! Great work!
Also useful for taking ships down without triggering a bounty I am told.I've also discovered that ramming them several times knocks out their shields for a time, those bigger ships move pretty slow and I can stay in close to them.
I do have a G3 Aphelion in my arsenal. I've never really used it, but from what I've seen it's a very good weapon against Revenants. Perhaps I should G5 it.
There are no Revenants out here, though![]()
I don't know if I have any pre-upgraded in my stock, have to check. But I never used anything but the three good plasmas and an AR-50. Upgrading and engineering a laser rifle for that would give me a purpose to do some more on foot shenanigans, as I have otherwise finished everything I wanted to engineer and upgrade. Nice.I do have a G3 Aphelion in my arsenal. I've never really used it, but from what I've seen it's a very good weapon against Revenants. Perhaps I should G5 it.

Aha! Brill! Thanks!Carriers now have an entry in the POI list in the left hand menu.
One thing I have discovered about the Krait MkII is that you need to be carful of the canopy, I've cacked mine three times ramming other ships. Also useful for taking ships down without triggering a bounty I am told.
Personally I have rarely managed to ram someone on purpose, certainly not managed to be able to do it to the same ship several times.
