No.Is anyone else from the UK experiencing an oppressive level of heat when you walk into a room with a non-curtained/non-blinded window?
I am finding it oppressive in almost every room, it is just more oppressive in such rooms.

No. For most mining ships you are sacrificing either cargo space or efficiency by putting a fuel scoop. For cases where you cannot reach the selling system on one fuel tank there are alternatives. Even in the old Borann days before fleet carriers I never equipped a scoop. There are generally two ways of handling the cases where you cannot reach the selling station without refuelling, both involve finding a station in a system near your mining system that is reasonably close to the arrival star.Question if I may...
Does your mining vessel have a fuel scoop?
I could double my hold capacity to 512 if I ditched mine but, as I'm using a Cutter, the amount of jumps I can make is limited before refuel time. Add to this markets to sell goodies at are usually 6-8 jumps away
A conundrum.

Mine (no pun intended) did, when I was doing a bit of Void Opal gathering back in the day. I didn’t do much of it, because it quite frankly bored the arx off of me, and the popcorn double-feature(*) ‘roids were not exactly abundant. But I did find a reasonably rich area which was about 300 ly outside the bubble, and I needed the scoop to get there and back. I was in my Krait MkII at the time. It didn’t hold anywhere near as much as the Cutter, obviously, but to be honest, I only once filled the cargo space I had in the Krait, and that took hours, so the prospect of trying to fill a Cutter doesn’t fill me with enthusiasm
(*) Bonus marks for getting that (admittedly very obscure) musical reference![]()
If in the bubble, set the jump router to 1k, uses less fuel per jump, but more jumps to your destination. Be prepared to defend yourself from interdiction. You can run a smaller fuel scoope.I carry a scoop on mining vessels, but it depends on the markets. Generally not a big one though. Usually stretching out your range by 30 percent is enough and that is really done scooping past every star as you go.
See, no mention of heat or allergies.
Oh, drat!
Try the little assault course at Cubeo if you have a decent drive and are trying to make it big with the Empire.Currently I'm taking a trip from making delivery runs in Imperial space to watch videos of Google Translated songs.Songs like this one:
Mining lances are crap. The only thing they are slightly useful for is manual prospecting, but that costs you fragments and therefore efficiency. When you are laser mining you really want to be as close to the asteroid as possible to minimize the travel time of your collector limpets. The extra range of the mining lances is therefore of limited use and using medium mining lasers is generally much more effective. Also built a mining cutter just to work the ring system I may be in. All lances and storage. Short run back to the FC. No scoop needed.
That really does not make things faster though. As already stated, manual prospecting costs you fragments. Hitting an asteroid with an A-rated prospector multiplies the number of available fragments by 3.5 so any fragment that was extracted before the prospecting event is losing you 2.5 fragments.Understood, but I can mine two roids at once, manually prospecting slowly anyways.
If the roid starts flowing good fragments, then double check it with the prospector.

I would suggest the iMU discord.Yes again understood. Not core mining at this time.
I will check out the fragment multiplying prospector mechanic.
Is there a mining forum that is exploring these numbers?
Which is itself a cover of an ancient "Searchers" track![]()
