Newcomer / Intro What are you up to?

Oki-Doki, this is my first attempt at a YouTube video at a Hazardous Extraction Site. It's pretty long, I'm researching video editing software that's ole fart friendly, I'll need to learn on the fly. It's FA on flying, I go FA off in and amongst the asteroids, it's still pretty squirrely flying for me, I'm still a novice at ship-to-ship combat. So please, go easy on me. Oh, and it recorded part of my music play list in the background, I listen to music while playing.

Great stuff, good to see it live now - i’m getting 720p60 on my ipad, which is fine for some vicarious gameplay, while the power is out and my own rig is down… good job on the Anaconda around 17:45 especially! 👏:)

Edit: This sucks, I recorded it in 1080p and it's playing in 360, I don't know what's wrong.

Edit II: I guess I should have waited, it takes time for thier servers to process it in it's original format. I'm such a n00b. 🤷‍♂️

Takes a bit of time to process HD, especially with longer videos - under 15mins seems to be fairly quick, up to 30mins a bit to fairly laggy (depending on how busy their servers are at the time i presume) …anything over that, even the SD takes some time - and the HD/4K seems to have been scheduled on a remote server farm …anyway, it’s normally all there the next day @least - sometimes one just has to sleep on it :]

Yeah, there's one song that says "Blocked in some regions", I trying to replace it. That'll give it time to render anyway, dang, I was kinda proud of doing this, now I feel stupid.

How YT deals with music copyright still mystifies me somewhat despite some years of using it - but i gather that sometimes, one’s blocked / forced to audio swap, if a publisher doesn’t permit “fair use” …though mostly they just slap Ads on it & collect their bit of revenue :sneaky:

Just a wee point of order here: on a takedown or assassination, you are not actually required to decimate the entire settlement… however, i salute your additional efforts and uncurbed enthusiasm, especially as this is on a weekend! Cheers! 🍻 :D

“I love it when a plan comes together!” :)
I assumed Tyres was working on the principal of if everybody is dead or incapacitated then the escape part of the mission is much easier.

But... but... they were all red on my radar. Red! They were practically begging to be shot! But yeah, I hear you :D
Yes but didn’t you use the EDHM to reset the radar colours so that everyone appears a shade of red?

What am I doing right now? I'm wandering around on Patchwork Plains. This is my first time strolling on a planet with high gravity and very high heat! It seems I'll boil in my suit if I walk around for much longer. Oops.

But at least I got a nice picture.

Edit: I might add, this was the target for my first ever exploration trip, way back when. So there's some nostalgia here too. Nostalgia and lots of heat.

That was my second Annie, my shields were at 100% (no more cell banks) and it caught me off guard when that fighter shot out of it's belly. Took me less than 30 seconds to take it out and the Annie had my shields around 10%. That one was a street brawl.

Edit: The last one (second) is the one I'm talking about here.

Oh that's fancy

Also I now have a kaleidoscopic color shotgun shooting service where they can get a surprise color of - currently offering black and yellow - boomstick in their face.

In my own personal opinion: in "Chevron Yellow", the Fashionable Manticore Intimidator CLEARLY calls out "CAUTION" or "WHY ARE YOU STANDING SO CLOSE?" to the opponent - wary or unwary!

Third shell's the charm, sir!

Anyone else ever had a locker that wouldn't open? I nearly expended my entire suits' energy trying to cut this one:

Not in a quite a while! used to happen in the early days of Odyssey, in settlements & crashed ships particularly iirc

While I was waiting for a mission board refresh, I decided to purchase a new pair of shades. The future is bright.

Needed those for the glare on the ice - that place was bright

I'm at a planet with 0.00 atmospheres but it's silicate vapour so not landable...
For fun, I went down to the Body Exclusion Zone limit. Then I wondered what would happen if I jettisoned a couple of limpets.
They fell to 340m below me, so I can't collect them via cargo hatch scooping... they're just sitting there on some invisible surface.
If I had a collector controller I could try and pick them up (I only have a repair controller) - would be interesting to see if collectors can penetrate the exclusion zone and not blow up when returning.

These are two of the six bios to be found on this planet... Forgot to take pictures of the others, though.
The other bios were Cactoida Lapis, Frutexa Metallicum, Tussock Cultro.
Wait, that are only five... I think #6 was Fungoida Setisis, but I'll have to go ingame to look that up, later. And check if I actually have them scanned, yet.
Interestingly, while I was roaming around, looking for those plants and stuff, I scanned something with the comp scanner from afar and got a 2.5k Cr codex reward claim, but have no clue what I had scanned there...
