Newcomer / Intro What are you up to?

My guess is, he didn't get away before a guard discovered the corpse - in the 2nd he got off the planet before anyone could discover the murder.

Bases reset once you are in supercruise - so my guess is, that if you get into supercruise before the murder is discovered, you can get away without a fine.
No, I mean in both instances, if you watch the top right msgs, it shows a bounty for murder immediately after the kill. But the guards apparantly dont turn aggro until they scan you post bounty if they didnt see you do the kill (1st case)

Ah, good reminder. I've just recently earned enough to buy a T6 transporter, which I'm planning to modify as my first explorer (not ideal, but since I can't find that blimmin' 5A FSD for a DBX, T6 is the next best thing.) So after unlocking Felicity, Guardian stuff is probably my next step.
Wait, isnt the double engineered 5A FSD available for purchase at any human tech broker (max 2 per pax) after the rare goods CG unlocked it. Do you have the materials and if not, can you not try to gather them? That double 5A is the best thing there is and will make your DBX go almost like a stripped out jumpaconda.

Seriously, try to get the parts and just buy the double 5A at a human tech broker.

I don't know of any such deal and even if I did, I have no way of getting the thing before this offer is over. Plus I don't think it's there in Odyssey (at least for me), otherwise I'd probably have noticed it.
But thanks.

Its open for all and not time limited. Its a permanent unlock due to the CG. Just use inara and fly to the nearest human (not guardian) tech broker and you can see it.

edit: I checked again. Its permanent. The time limit is only that for 2 weeks after the CG, the amount of materials needed is less. You need more material now, but it is still open to all.

Ah, okay.
Well, I'll try to keep it in mind. Maybe after I'm back from my exploration trip I'll give it a go. o7

Been trying to shoot peoplez, looking for high-threat targets to see if the NPCs there can shoot me down.
Nope and many convoys thanking me. Also got a bounty issued on me because I must have attacked the wrong target on one occasion, tried to "pay" to settle it by docking to a starport in that system, and discovered they carefully waited for me to approach the mailslot before going "LoL! gotcha!", and proceeding to fail taking me down. Guess I've got a somewhat robust build now, but it's a Type 10 configured for "oh well let's bonk this Anaconda" mode.

I am having combat fun in a G3 Arty suit with a G3 executioner long range plasma. no mods on each.
Get up high close to power and re-ammo stashes. Seems to change the course of a battle.
They will come looking for you, and use executioners to take you out.
Sometimes they sneak up on you and it's 50/50 in a uncontrolled melee.
Died a few time less now and helping to win the battle, open and solo modes. lot o' fun. (y)

Dear Fdev, I am really trying to buy into the immersion and role-play experience of your game. But as a real life finance/numbers person, stuff like this just overloads my OCD Capacitor Array. So the battle weapons I was smuggling were sticks with nails, what are these then?

Got so annoyed at the connection issues last night that when I finally got into the game I decided to move one of my commander's base of operations to a system I stumbled across - HAGHOLE* - unfortunately the orbital station turned out to be over 12k ls from arrival so I didn't do it after all. I had to content myself with seeing how many Latin swearwords I could get past the ship-name nanny-filter. It turned out that none got rejected before I got bored doing it, I blame F D being in Cambridge, no doubt Oxford would have Latin as the default checker.

* Not unsurprisingly the place is under the sway of Hutton Orbital Truckers pmf. ;)

EDIT:

BTW - While I was over there a memory got triggered when I noticed the system Bhritzameno and I remembered that Feynman Terminal there was my go-to place when doing the "hunt-the-module" back in the days of yore. Maybe that 5A FSD some of you are finding elusive can be had there - it is certainly listed.

lol, at least your in the game Sort of...... all im getting at the moment all im gettings is "orange sidewinder" -> sorry fdev not my Colour :)
Once you've played Elite long enough, you kind of get used to the orange.

But yeah, considering what Para said above, I think it is (or was for me at least) a server issue. I wasn't able to enter any kind of shop. No error, just endless loading.
And it seemed like most of the connection issues were dealt with. Oh well. They have all day today to fix it as I won't have time to play. But tomorrow...! shakes fist
