Newcomer / Intro What are you up to?

Logged in to Horizons and jumped to 97% Surely that can't be right?
1% all day!
What rank are the target ships you are destroying?
Fastest progress would be Elite targets. Thargoid Scouts are Elite, but about 500ly from the bubble and need AX multicannons to destroy them.
Compromised nav beacons usually produce Elite targets. Proxima has one - my stomping ground. If you decide to go there, selling the bounty vouchers at Wiley Port in Teveri which should be 1 jump away for you, would help me out 😃

Either Elite, or Deadly, but basically anything that moves, as the bounties against me show :ROFLMAO:
I've been camped out at a compromised nav beacon all week.

Some pics from today's adventures.

That was strange.

I was on a power-on mission as I wanted loads of mats and there was a scav infestation already present. Which was fine. However, not one of them gave me a bounty when downed. When I scanned the bodies, I was given a minimal amount, around 850CR.

The money isn't the issue but... not giving a bounty? Maybe this happens sometimes but it's the first time I've seen it.

I did a dumb.

I found this cool looking ringed planet, that was landable, and decided to see what kind of views were on the surface. I headed down to a nice-looking mountainous area.

And I forgot to check the gravity. I always check the gravity, it's like a habit. But not this time.

It was a 3G planet, easy enough to land on when you're paying attention.

I was not paying attention.

My poor DBX was destroyed and boy did I feel stupid. :p

Fiddled with the livery of the Python. It appears I have this paint job which I'd overlooked:

It's a little.. pastel, so I may go back to Stygian Blue

The kit looks better from the outside than it does in where vision is a little restricted:

On another note, I made this happen:

So that's four weapons all at G5 and fully modded \o/ Think I'll call it a day on mat chasing for a while. With the stuff I have, I think it's time I sought out my first on-foot CZ. Not quite sure how they work or what I'll find but fun times are ahead. I'll do that tomorrow, I think.

EDIT

Domino Green is asking for a poke in the eye. She sounded like she'd been caning the Any Na coffee all day and she really grated on me :D

That right there is the reason I run 662MJ shields on my Phantom. If you exit the glide and keep hands off the controls at max throttle and a 25 degree descent angle on the 6G world of Achenar 3, the Phantom skims the surface of the planet grinding off the shields and hull to 34% (heavy duty grade 5 deep plate light alloys) by which time you hopefully wake up and pull up. That was a deliberate test I did after losing the Phantom and about 20 million in exploration data the way you just lost the DBX sometime earlier when the Phantom only had about 300MJ shields.
Commiserations 😥
