What did you do in Planet Zoo today?

Made the shopshells today. Still have to make the toiletshell.

Which DLC are they apart of? Don’t have those in console. Or are they workshop items?
I think thats just the basegame mesh.
When you use alot of the small pieces and angle them you can get more organic shapes like this.

There is a netting set in the oceania pack that naturally comes in more wavy shape. But i dont think thats what is used here since the ends do all line up, which you couldnt do with oceanias

Working on filling in the empty areas in Rainforest Safari. I worked on this new plaza area all night. Its centerpiece is a structure featuring an open market style Pipshot brands counter vendor drink destination on one side and faux bleacher seating on the opposite side with a fountain/waterfall. The bleacher seating is made to perfectly cover the aquatic bench so guests can actually sit on the bottom tier. The picnic bench area looked really awkward just chilling on top of the pathway so I used the new world metal wall decoration to create a geometric anchor which I sunk into the ground for the benches to be placed on top of. I think it worked out pretty well.

I really wish there was a sequencer in this game because I would totally make the second seating area anchor a splash pad.

Here i am back with what most likly will be the largest animal of my mini zoo. For those that didnt see the other thread, this zoos theme will be old habitats that have been repurposed, expanded and upgraded to better suit welfare for the animals. This one is an old, beton style pit habitat for what once used to be indian rhinos, now having the beton plates broken up and coverd with dirt in places aswell as an expansion where once used to be a beton pool to give the bisons some natural ground to walk on.

I worked more on the central part of the orangutan habitat for Taman Safari Hutan, which maintains part of it's original Singapore Zoo inspiration. However, I'm fitting it in better with the zoo. Today I did some lush yet open foliage and climbing infrastructure. I used one blueprint to which I added my self-made platforms and some of the climbing frames which I try to disguise as fire hoses. Quite happy with how it's all turning out, and especially enjoying the views it creates from other parts of the park.

After a week and a half of assignments and being away from home, I finally have some time to play some more PZ. Tonight I hopped back onto the Devil Conservation Centre and worked on the little penguin habitat, and I'm quite happy with how it turned out - its great for a small colony, and reminds me a lot of some of the little penguin enclosures I've seen in lower budget zoos in real life.

Akira, the last of the zoo's original 5 founding Tasmanian devils, unfortunately ended up passing away during this session, and so I built this simple memorial next to the entrance habitats to honour the devils that started it all.

With death also comes new life however, and the new set of breeding devils is already giving back. One new imp has already been born, a female named Ellin, and another litter is on the way. Just hoping I'll get some larger litters soon, as although they can produce up to four offspring at a time*, all of my litters so far have only been of 1-2 imps!

*Fun (or mildly morbid) fact, female devils actually give birth to 20-30 (sometimes as many as 50) underdeveloped young at a time, but given they only have four teats, only the first four to clamp onto a nipple survive while the rest of the young perish - with a childhood as rough as that, no wonder they grow up so grumpy!
