What did you do in Planet Zoo today?

That's so good! Habitats for climbing rocks are difficult but very rewarding. May I suggest to include the ibex enrichment rock? Or is it too optimistic from me that the markhor is going to use it from the beginning unlike the Dall sheep?
I'll add the rock. I honestly didn't even think of it. Thanks!
Damn your rock work is good. I never have the patience for good enough rocks. This is * chef's kiss *
Thank you! Rocks are a bit of my passion.

I removed the brick walls at the front and sides of the cat enclosures which I think looks a bit more realistic. Kept them for the Pallas' cats though. I'm not entirely happy with the viewing areas though.

So I was working on my new city zoo, and I wanted to experiment with the entrance for a bit. Just wanted a modern looking building, that seems like it would have been built in the late 2000s or 2010s, so I took some inspiration from the Potawatomi Zoo's entrance, a boxy looking building. Great cool built part of the walk through area, and then I move on to place the sign on top, and get upset that the noto font pieces are a little too big, so I merge them and try to make them look weird and blocky, and while I was working on the “zoo” part and added a bit to it, and I discovered that it sorta looks like the bottom half of a 4 legged animal walking, like and elk, bear, or a wolf

So I decide to see if it would easily fit into the shape of a polar bear, as it's already white and I didn't feel like making antlers for an animal we don't have. I mess around with it and try to make it blocky (didn't look great), then I make it curvy and add a line over the rest of it and attach it to the base, added some colors and cleaned it up and boom. Accidentally discovered and made the coolest zoo sign I've ever made

I might clean it up a bit but I don't want to ruin it yet. I also don't know what to do yet because I'm still struck by how amazing this turned out

Any critique or suggestions are welcomed

Nice! Really pretty entrance. Love the theme and setting. Love the colours in Mexican architecture, vibrant turquoise and earthy terracotta. Will you be bringing those in?
I will attempt, at least for some builds. Fortunately, flexicolor tiles would be great to represent Saltillo tile, my favorite kinda tile

I love Sundays. I did some work on my woodland walk. I want you to have the feeling of going deep into the forest for this one, meeting lots of European forest creatures along the way.

I built a hide to overlook red deer and wild boar:

Around the bend is a badger set. If you can't find them in the meadow you might see them behind the dark glass in their den, or in their burrows which are linked up to screens.

Following on you can put your feet up at the fallow deer picnic site:

Finally I started a little farmyard, chickens first:

This will be added to with some more barnyard animals. I'm also going to move my foxes down here. The path will fork after the picnic site, so you can go deeper into the woods to find the foxes, I'll also add a wolf habitat down there and another large carnivore, I haven't decided what yet.

Or you can take the sunny path up into the farmyard and finish up in a playground next to some friendly reindeer.

I think for the Farm Area, a Herd of Sheep, kept together with either Llamas or Donkeys and maybe also a Info Sign about why they are kept together, would fit pretty well

While were on suggestions, i think the bark pieces from the tropical pack would look super cool as the background for the sign hanging over the entrance to the area :)

@Villanelle I love the idea with picnic area within the fallow deer enclosure! Although in reallife they would totally steal the people's food or will be fed by the people.😄

I've finished the pallas cat habitat today but I will show it to you when the cats are in. I tested the traversable area with sand cats and hope the pallas cat will have the same traversable area.
I also started the komodo dragon habitat in the tropcial hall. I'm actually surprised how much space they need (never built for them before)...Thankfully I play in sandbox:ROFLMAO:

After struggling with, building and deleting a bunch of versions of the exterior of the aquarium and tropical house i had planned for this zoo, i just scrapped the idea of trying to come up with one of my own and stole one from an existing one and mostly recreating it. Not finished yet, but its finally one im happy with :)
Bonus points for everyone who recognizes it.
