What did you do in Planet Zoo today?

Sorted Animals in my Storage Zoo (I do have specific Quarantine Buildings there now: Cats, Big Primates, small Primates, Hoofstock, Seals, Reptiles)

Then I've changed a few Things in the Indoor Part of my Chimpanzee Enclosure. I've put some Toys in the big Net that is hanging from the Ceiling because I think this will make it more likely for the Chimpanzees to use it.
Then I've introduced the new Star of my Zoo to the Chimpanzee Group. A completely white male Chimpanzee. The Guests will love him. After that I've watched him for a Eternity.

Later I'll probably change a few more Things in that Building. I've planned to hide the Wall with the Entrance behind Rocks (maybe also add a small Waterfall for them to drink) (Funfact: The Western Chimpanzee is the only Chimpanzee Subspecies that plays with Water. Because of that, they do also have a Pot and a Barrel with Holes in a shallow Pond in their Outdoor Enclosure). I've also planned to add way more Ropes for them to climb and to change the Floor so that there's only a Ramp where the Entrance is located. Most likely I will also do some Changes in the Outdoor Area but I don't really know yet what exactly I could do there

@iloveyourzoos, is this yours?

So long without Apes? Which Species did you get?
Well, I'm trying to get the Zoopedia achievement, so I started with getting cheaper species, but I decided that I needed some quick bucks and acquired all 4 species at once (Bonobo, Chimp, Gorilla, Orangutan). I built a basic building (that looks kinda like the ZT1 petting zoo), and all of them are happily living inside each of their homes away from the weather.

I don't have an image, but the 4 enclosures are known as the following:

Chimp Playground
Orangutan Gym
Gorilla Territory
House of the Bonobos

Sounds interesting. Sadly the Zoopedia Achievement won't work currently because you can't get Quality 3 Food for the Himalayan Brown Bear😕
Hope they'll be able to fix the Bug soon

Ironically, I had gotten full research for all the bears (except Polar) back before the Aquatic pack was released, but since then I haven't used them. Will that still be affected or was the bug from before?

I'm pretty sure I've already fully researched the Himalayan Brown Bear a long Time ago. Might've been when I've built the original Arctic Project Research Center which was most likely short after or before the Release of the Arctic Pack. Maybe the Bug somehow also affects the Research that was done before 🤔

Hmm, well, I will check it out later this week. If it works, excellent. If not, maybe this should be reported (if it hasn't been already)

I had researched all the animals to the maximum before and I'm also having the Himalayan brown bear issue with the food level now. There's an issue on the issue tracker that has been confirmed and has received many votes, so hopefully it will be fixed soon.

Don't laugh because I"m lagging behind on this, but tonight I finally did my first habitat that had an underwater viewing point that was below the main terrain level, for my penguins! It was a learning process but I felt excited to do it. The other habitats I've had with underwater viewing areas have always been habitats where I've built up above the ground level and had the path go up and around the habitat. It's easier (which is why I've done it that way) but clunkier pathwise. Rather please with myself even if it's not pretty, I finally did it! I'll work on beautifying the water area later, now that I've got the basic habitat down and space is accounted for. I wish I could design habitats better but hey, the animals like them and they still bring in the money (good thing the guests don't seem to care overall how aesthetically pleasing habitat designs are!)

Also disregard the basic facility buildings, they're going to get the shells that I have as a theme for the zoo - which is definitely not my creation but is a workshop creation. You can tell that because it looks nice lol

Most of my underwater viewing galleries look similar, and I think yours looks great! When you get to the beautifying part, I'm sure it's going to look very pretty. (y)

I haven't played much in the last 2 weeks, but I have been back in my Tribbi ZOO.

Instead of fallow deer, I've put peafowls into the Magical Forest enclosure. I'm really proud of this one, and it's something different. I know the fallow deer are supposed to be a walkthrough animal, but my guests would run away, and I really wanted to leave it walkthrough so I settled for peafowls. I think it turned out great! (The mushrooms are from the workshop)

Opposite to the Magical Forest are the Bengal tigers. Love the catwalk I made right in front of the fence, and they use it often so I'm happy about that.

Behind the Bengal tigers is an area I jokingly called "Stressorama". It's just a simple enclosure where I can put animals that are stressed even after putting them in the trade center. Thanks to @FoxyDee for the idea! I totally stole that! :p

Some creepy crawlies. I had some space so I figured why not. Very simple, almost no decoration.

Here is my Wild Burger restaurant, which is inspired by SDan's restaurant in his newest zoo (I hope he doesn't mind, it's a really good name!). I'm not toally happy with the way it looks so I might change it but it'll have to do for now until I get some better ideas.

Backing the Magical Forest are the cute warthogs! I made a very simple habitat, I feel this is something you would see in a real zoo.

Today I made this habitat for the American Flamingo. I'm happy with it, especially the little island I made for them. Behind the tree is an elongated shelter and...well the flamingo. :p

My next big project is a tapir house/viewing gallery. The idea is that each habitat will have an indoor section which will be tropical and the guests will be able to view them, a private section where they can rest from the guests, and an outdoor area with a river. They are tropical animals, and my zoo is in a temperate biome which means it snows occasionally, and I don't want to have my tapirs on low welfare when it snows. So I designed a habitat where they can easily shelter from the snow. WIP
