What tend to work for me, is moving around and do some detailing. There is often rockwork that can be worked on or a boring wall somewhere. That helps getting your brain back in the game and the controls, and often that helps motivation to find its way.My Planet Zoo break was a little long (I have too many hobbies, really...). I'm sitting here, staring at Golding and don't know what to do...
Does anyone having any tipps how to get back into a zoo?
It helps me if I click on "ZooChat" through the picture gallery. My Planet Zoo break was a little long (I have too many hobbies, really...). I'm sitting here, staring at Golding and don't know what to do...

I actually tried just that yesterday (plus the detailing SalamAnders recommended, as I usually do this as well) and demolished a lot of things that wasn't stream lined with the rest of the section. Now I'm stuck because I have to build particular things in a particular style and don't feel like it.@Swjosdotschka to add to what SalamAnders said, try renovating something. A habitat, a shop, planters, paths. Something you're not quite happy with. Sometimes that gets my creative juices flowing if I have trouble getting back into the zoo.
Okay then how about, using the giant otters as the mascot animals of the zoo to go real wild.I actually tried just that yesterday and demolished a lot of things that wasn't stream lined with the rest of the section. I figured, I start yet another zoo. This time with no concept whatsoever. Someone said in another thread to NOT start with the entrance but with a habitat and see what story envolves behind the zoos. So that's what I will do. No sections that forces me to build exactly for animal X on time Y. No budget limitation. There will be old boring habitats that need renovation and cool themed ones, that are quite new. I allow myself to put th Llamas next to Flamingos if I feel like it. There happens to be a crossview in the zoo? Pfff, who cares?
Just an organic growing patchwork zoo, that's what I need right now. I can get back to Golding eventually, when I feel like it. In the last couple of weeks I limited myself in all of my hobbies (doing a card challenge, strictly plotting my book) that I feel I just need something to go with the flow again. Hope it will help...
And yes, I am annoyed because I still have no finished project -.-
I'm pretty sure that's something I will never doOkay then how about, using the giant otters as the mascot animals of the zoo to go real wild.
Im sure thats something you have never done before![]()
