What did you do in Planet Zoo today?

I made a simple Dall Sheep habitat.

The Ram. Maybe he will be a patriarch someday...

Jade, this feisty girl escaped so the zoo had to build a taller fence.

Nichelle. She likes to relax in the cave area. Poor girl arrived injured...

Long time no see everyone, I hope everyone's still enjoying the game as much as I do!
I've glanced over some of your recent images on this thread and they are amazing without an exception. So many creative and talented builders here 🙂

I finally got to build something again and tackled one of my most anticipated projects for my main zoo! This is a gigantic mesh structure of >10,000m² for animals of the Indonesian forests, namely the Orangutan, the Siamang, the Malayan Tapir and in a separate enclosure within the structure the Asian Small-Clawed Otter. This was an absolute pain to build, but I'm very happy with how it turned out! Might not be the most realistic thing despite my attempt to do a relatively realistic zoo, but I don't care and just pretend my zoo has an infinite budget anyway.
Right now the animals always end up boxed on top of the mesh structure whenever I open the file, which I haven't found a solution for yet, but I hope that gets fixed soon.

And here is my current zoo layout, with the Indonesian habitat at the top corner:

It's... getting big, let's put it that way. I have about ten additional habitats already built and blueprinted, but not yet transferred into this file because it has become simply impossible to build in here due to the lag. I must say I quite enjoy this tactic – build my habitats in empty files, then blueprint them and transfer them here. If only the blueprint placing process wasn't so finicky...
I don't know how long I will be able to continue this zoo, especially because it's still only about half of what I've been planning it to include, but we'll see. It is a lot of fun right now, though!

Haven't been on here in a hot second. Kinda been distracted playing Jurassic World Evo 2 with all the new creatures added, I still have been building in PZ, just not as hardcore as usual. Anyway, the exterior of the Pavilion building is done, heres the video on that:

My next project: Capy Island!

With a new pack on the horizon next month, I want to finish the Pavilion building which would also wrap up the America's section. That way I dont need to commit to another section, when the new pack comes with animals across the world (Im sure it will) I can make room for most of them (depending on what they are of course).

Been working on the outdoor Capybara enclosure in the Pavilion

I love the walkway with the overhead shade structures, they're one of my favourite things to build. I still haven't been that into the game lately, been mainly focused on Jwe2, plus I'll be away from the zoo for another week so instead of this project being done at the end of August, it'll probably delay to mid September, but idc that much, as long as I can finish it before the new pack comes out.

I'm currently building a zoo in Kauai and I want to use some music speakers in the entrance. Which in-game playlist would work best for Hawaii?

Cheetah Exhibit and Zebra Steeplechase with a viewing area.

My most prized set: 2013 Ewok Village, y'all. Biggest set I've bought. My next goal is the brand new, UCS Mos Eisley Cantina. Hopefully one day
I just finished putting together a Hoth moc with my friend. It’s got an outside battle with a crashed AT-ST, A medical bay with lights, a hangar that has 2 A-wings and an X-wing, a command Station, an armory, and a battle with Ahsoka and Kal vs Vader and some Inquisitors. It also has some little easter eggs with other random SW characters popping in there, (e.g. Grogu, the Time Grappler from Andor, Kazuda Xiono,) a roblox ‘noob’ figure in the bat a tank, and a AT-AT driver building a lego set behind the AT-ST crash. I don’t have a photo so I’m trying to describe it best I can lol. It’s 4 48 by 48s.

For the first time after some months i touched the game again and to get back into the jam of things i decided to start building a new small habitat, and what better for that then meercats?
Its not much yet, just a bit of fence, a sign and the walls of their holding that i sadly made from single parts so im gonna either have to go and rebuild it or go through the pain called making a custom roof, so far havent decided yet.
But i can report, no matter how unimpactfull these years dlc have been on my experience, its still a fun game and thats honestly kind of nice to think about.
Its calming to know that eventhough ive not used anything from the last two dlc (yet cause who couldnt use the porcupines?) the game is finally in a spot after the grassland pack where nothing feels to lacking and theres an animal for allmost every habitat idear. But at the same time im also mixing and matching alot with most of my zoo just being random animals next to each other and only now starting with a larger themed african area which is arguably the best represented region in the game, so while the game as a whole has only very little blindspots its only some area themes really lacking , which in retrospect makes me appreciate the arid pack a tiny bit more because while i still think a varried pack would have been way better, its also kinda cool that we got more or less a regional animal pack for one of the least represented regions in the game. Thats pretty nice

At the moment, I am living vicariously through these screenshots of all the beautiful zoos you guys post!

I haven't properly played Planet Zoo since February of this year, but that's because I've been having issues with my computer overall. I've played bits here and there, but my computer would always cause me problems (not just PZ, any game) and it really took the fun out of playing.

So I am waiting for the new one to arrive, probably sometime in the next two weeks. I'm so excited to jump back into PZ!

Haven't built much these past two weeks, but this evening I sat down and built a nice little multi-layered wild ass habitat. It's not finished yet, lots of foliage work & rock placement yet to do, but I'm already quite content with how it looks. There will be a viewing on the upper layer as well, but I haven't built that part of the zoo yet.

Today I'm working on Rocky Falls Park, my North American focused zoo. After nearly 4 years, learned something new and incredibly helpful: tired of waiting for the staff to transport your animals to a habitat? Pick them up and move them just like anything else - Boom! The staff and animals are right outside the habitat door. I feel sorta dense for not thinking about this earlier.

Anyways, it'd be a while since I worked on this zoo since I though the roundabout trail was going to be end of it, but added in the raccoons, though I still need to fancy up their habitat. Also began a makeshift start for a wolverine habitat (c'mon frontier, bring them on!) Also realizing I've got a LOT of staff buildings to pretty up. I'll probably be focusing on this zoo the next four months, as I really didn't realize I left so many staff buildings bare.
