What species are missing for you to complete your local zoo?

I don't really have any local zoos near me, but there's a zoo that's about thirty minutes away from where I live.
Here their animals:
Animals we have already in the game
Reticulated Giraffe
Plains Zebra
Cheetah
Common Ostrich
Wolverine
Eurasian Lynx
Eurasian Gray Wolf - wolf in-game is basically Gray Wolf
Red River Hog
Meerkat
Ring-Tailed Lemur
Black and White Ruffed Lemur

Animals we don't have in the game
Gelada
Common Eland
Pygmy Goat
Eurasian Brown Bear - we got brown bear already, not EBB though
Blue-Eyed Black Lemur
Mongoose Lemur
Alaotran Gentle Lemur
Visayan/Philippine Spotted Deer

Not too bothered to do birds and other exhibit animals 😂
We got their animals in-game pretty much, the only animal we need is Gelada/Baboon.

This sentence is wild, what do you consider local does it have to be at your front door.
Thirty minutes travel is nothing where I am from. The nearest zoo to me is easily an hour away yet I consider it local.

Well, I got the mute swan for Willowbank Wildlife Reserve, but there will never be enough slots to finish that zoo anyway.

For Orana Wildlife Park, nothing has changed, still need the waterbuck, Sumatran tiger, Geoffroy's spider monkey, and Tibetan yak.

Uh?? There is no need for you to say that. It does not matter how far the zoo is, the zoo I am talking about that is close to where I live because I do not have any local zoos. I have seen other people in this thread posted their zoos that is close to them, even zoos that probably are hours away from them, it does not mean it has to be "local." I am doing this for fun, everyone is having fun in here too as well. You do not need to tell me this directly.

sorry If came of more aggressive then I meant I was more just pointing out the different cultural contexts we live in since I found it interesting sorry if that offended you.
Also what do you mean local im still still curious what your definition of that is because I would consider anything that is less than an hours travel local to me.

Something, something ,,In Europe 100 miles is a long way, in America 100 years is a long time''

That must be a dream, I got one local then the nearest is 4 hours away.
Western germany moment, the ruhr area has the densest zoo population in the world.
My own town has an aquarium and a wild park, my surrounding towns have 5+ ABC zoos, 6+ smaller zoos (some even part of the EAZA which is real cool) and 5+ wild parks.

And it also takes only 1-3 hours to get to pretty much all zoos in belgium and the neatherlands as well

If you ever want an extensive zoo trip, western germany with a base of operation in düsseldorf is propaply the best you can do

As my local zoo (Tierpark Olderdissen) has exlusively local and semi local animals aswell as a few invasive and domestic animals my list consists of pretty much only european animals with the occasional invasive one.

Finally, after getting literally nothing throughout the entirety of 2023, we have some progress! For simplicity's sake, I'm just going to count these domestics as generics, because lol

Greenville Zoo in Greenville, SC
  • Greater rhea
  • Kunekune pig
  • Domestic chicken

  • Black swan
  • Southern screamer
  • Alligator snapping turtle
  • Ocelot

  • Geoffroy's spider monkey
In-game species: Giant anteater, American alligator, red panda, siamang, Amur leopard, Bornean orangutan, "lion", Aldabra giant tortoise, black-and-white ruffed lemur
So for Riverbanks, we now have alpaca, goat, chicken, and pig. They have since lost their Diana monkeys and false gharial (and dwarf caiman and binturong), and added Geoffroy's marmoset, Bolivian gray titi, tammar wallaby, and burrowing owl. Also since sloths have been definitively proven to be exhibit species, I guess that one can be removed since I was only doing habitat species. That leaves us at

For Greenville, we got the pig and chicken (and goat, why wasn't goat on my previous list? they've always had goats), and they lost their black swan and alligator snapping turtle. They didn't add any relevant new species in the meantime, so this one has pure progress as opposed to the give-and-take that Riverbanks got.

I've long given up on getting most of these, but boy it sure would be nice if I could also cross off Hamadryas baboon and ocelot before things wrap up (assuming they haven't already, which I'm kind of 50/50 on at this point)

Technically, answering the question of the title, this pack is adding a whooping 6/7 new species that happen to be in my local zoo. However, if we go down to the breed level, this pack is adding 1/7 and I'm generous considering the donkey represents non-American standard breeds.

Alpacas and chickens are kept in 3 of my local zoos (Adelaide, Gorge and Urimbirra), domestic goats in 2 (Adelaide and Urimbirra) and domestic sheep just at Urimbirra Wildlife Park. Going to breed level rather than species level, it's just the alpacas.

Gotta give a shout out to Adelaide Zoo's new children's zoo, and particularly the goat habitat. Pretty massive upgrade from the old pen they used to live in!

That is an amazing enclosure for goats. Domestic animals rarely get anything fancy, it looks great.
