Whats the laziest ship to use for staying in CNB's for an hour or so to bounty hunt?

If your close to the sun the heat radiated by it already will drain your cooling.

maybe you should put more pips to weapons - the more power is in the weapon caps the better the heat dissipation especially of beams gets.
The Python is still my favorite Ship. Never got heat issues apart from SCB ing.

Whats your idle heat in space and at that particular spot.
Btw you can turn off modules that produce heat and save it that way also.

Engineering will greatly increase effectiveness of the lazy turret boat strategy.

G1 LR pulse lasers means grade 1 long range pulse for which you can get them for turrets up to class 3, large. Easy to engineer yielding ~3.5km range without damage drop-off.

Engineering the shield and shield boosters can quadruple effectiveness of your 7c Bi-weave.

Engineered armor and hull reinforcement have similar effects.

You'll be able shield + hull tank and hit targets within 3.5km for full damage.

You can swap the G1 LR pulse for G5 Focused pulse to get ~6km range, some damage drop-off, but higher piercing (more effectiveness against larger ship hulls).
