Winter 2023 DLC Speculation

Sloth animations are great though so so it’s just a case to learn how to build with those boxes.

I actually agree and I wish more people could see that. It's kinda a shame that not everybody is willing to accept that there's a learning curve when dealing with WEs. My only wish is that they can be smaller

True, but that was most likely because people where still heavily expecting a bird, and the horned viper wasnt really the most exciting pick there was. And the mood about the arid pack overall was tainted with disappointment, which probably fueled the opinion on the snake
If its just gonna be copy paste sloths and bats from now on that would be way more disappointing than returning to standard exhibits, for me atleast

If we got a 3rd bat, I wouldn't be complaining but I'd be mildly disappointed. A 2nd sloth, however, would be fun. It would possibly have a different layout than the sloth we already have. I'm also hoping for some more butterflies, because let's face it: 5 butterflies isn't enough. I'd love some more variety, like Queen Alexandria's birdwing or spicebush swallowtails

I believe the consensus is highlands or some general Eurasia pack atm.

Hey! She's doing great, and over the course of lambing season I ended up with 15 lambs in my yard being bottle fed milk lol. Last month of lambing is this month, I picked up a lost newborn at lunchtime today and shes doing really well

I actually think that getting the peccary makes getting the boar in the next pack more unlikly if anything.

Speaking of which, how are people feeling about a temperate pack now that the devil and kiwi are out? No just for the next pack but more in general.
I remember those were a big part of most speculations about such a pack.

I still think it's possible. Southeast Asia and South America are technically tropical, but then we got Tropical pack. I'm not saying it'll come, but Frontier hasn't used the temperate name yet, so I wouldn't be surprised to see a Temperate pack down the line.
I just hope it's more spread out and not using too many animals from 1 place

Screw exhibit building, i build an entire sizeable building for my south america house and its still to small, not to mentioned the extremly annoying forced straight pathway.
I love the idear but i hate the execution of the WEs so much

I remember those were a big part of most speculations about such a pack.

I think a Temperate/Woodlands Pack is still quite possible, sort of like how we still got the Arid Animal Pack after some popular choices for species to include in a desert pack, like the emu, caracal and striped hyena, came in the Grasslands Animal Pack. A scenery set themed around rustic wooden cabins and camping has a lot of potential, while a roster of something like American black bear, wild boar and two small guys (preferably short-beaked echidna and golden pheasant for me personally) + whatever exhibit animal (tuatara plz) sounds very Frontier-y. I could see it being the Fall 2024 pack.

But I guess Planconians just naturally build oversized buildings, because the viewing dome entrance is also huge

I have no idea, but I think I heard somewhere that that's what they're called. I could be wrong, though

We need them freely place able with a no path option, if we had that theyd allready be much more manageable

I just wish the climbing frame wasn’t so awful and clunky for the sloths. The bats and butterflies have a great exhibit setup which is SO easy to blend into any build. But the sloth’s frame is so hard to blend into.
