Winter 2023 DLC Speculation

The only decision they could make that would make me burst into flames is not have the Markhor aoudad or takin, no caprine, and instead have a Rocky Mountain Elk. Instant 1 star review 💀

I mean it’s no caprine, but the Elk isn’t a bad animal. I would be angry if they put it in a mountain pack, but any other pack and I’d love it.

Quite different actually. And a master climber.

Definitely! I can see the "enrichment" items being expanded tunnels, additional "nests," and such.

And man, it would be so much fun to see what people do to build facades for that particular exhibit and imply an extensive connected tunnel system using different exhibit boxes. They are begging to be exhibit animals.

When people say they prefer to build for ungulates over other species it always confuses me... But the mountain ones (and some of the smaller, jungle-focused ones) are the exception for me.

I would be stunned if we got a highlands/mountain pack without the takin and a caprine. But I'd also be bummed if we got like, a rocky mountain goat over markhor.
Yeah the mountain ungulates are the only ones that I can actually enjoy building for but still not by much highlands needs at least 1 caprine probably 2 they are just essential to the theme.
Would you guys like the idea of having as anniversary animal gift, 2 or 3 exhibit animals? 2 of them being the King cobra with a new temperate asian forest theme, and the naked mole rat with some cool and unique new tunnels exhibit. And if we're a bit lucky, something like a Panther Chameleon. Doesn't sound cool?
I like the idea just not the choices the 4x4 exhibit box is just too small for a mole rat and maybe the chameleon but the walkthrough is big enough that it would be better if they were habitat animals the cobra is an alright pick though unless box sizes change.

So far this year we have gotten the following for habitat animals:

2 carnivorans
6 ungulates
1 primate
3 "other" mammals
2 birds
1 reptile

Which of these groups do you think will get reps next pack?
I'm hoping for "other" mammals, carnivorans (sorry not sorry), and bird.

I like all three of the choices but all this excitement for 3 exhibit animals I'll just brush aside is kinda disappointing for me.
I understand the general dislike for exhibit species, but honestly, we should have more exhibit species than habitat species. I feel bummed out that we're missing a bunch of iconic and well-known species, like chameleons, cobras, mambas, turtles, lizards, etc.
I still hope that the next major update features an exhibit overhaul

I think if the exhibits get an overhaul like with the size of them mainly then people will start to want more exhibit animals because then they actually can use a bit of creativity with making exhibits unique from each-other.

Even with the enormous big box you can create unique terrariums, you only need some creative, I haven't used the base displays for a while now because they are very ugly and I prefer to customize them

Yeah I do the same thing but if the general audience sees that you can now make them circles or make them smaller then that will excite them cause not everyone has the creative juices to make the big boxes look smaller.
