(I have a list of the systems in this bubble - I actually have a few more than the 50 as it's from multiple sources/videos... The videos provided most of them but some websites referenced other ones which took it over 50 so open to human error but pretty sure the list covers the 50 that were available at the time)

So the Ram Tah lore and his discoveries, yes I've read those but not in details for some time. Whilst I haven't personally ruled out that Raxxla is the construct, not knowing what it is means I haven't ruled out much 😉

So weren't the glyphs used to identify which type of Guardian ancient artifacts you needed to complete his mission?
People read them. But I don’t think they picked them apart the way that we are doing right now which we are starting to understand was probably the developers intentions in the first place. Regular video games just give instructions like what you see is what you get. I think a lot of the clues were missed because this was read the same way. People just thought it was basic knowledge. They are not used to developers throwing a little hints that basically tell you, hey, go over here and Investigate this thing. I just started picking them apart recently. I’ve read them before. Can’t believe how much I didn’t notice. And I’m having the same Epiphany’s looking at some of the markers on the Alpha sites. I am noticing discrepancies in symmetry, certain things aligned a certain way and pointed at certain things, I could go on. It is an enormous amount of stuff to try to figure out on your own. I feel like my head is going to fall Off

A lot of the raxxla Hunters believe the Guardian home world is what they are looking for. I honestly believe that the two puzzles and legends are separate. But I don’t really know for sure. So I can’t really rule it out. But if you ask anyone in the discord that is the general process of thought

interesting theory...

"The Lord says the changing positions sometimes dictate motion, and change the meaning of the word. So does the mirroring of two symbols turned facing each other or turned opposite each other. All of these things change the meaning of the actual glyph. So this is an extremely limited written language that changes meaning every time you change the position of its characters." - did you really mean "the Lord"?? and what do you base this on and do you have some evidence to demonstrate it?

in terms of the images you mentioned can you put them on here?

"None of the markings are decorative. All of them have a purpose or an instructional reason." - what do you base this on and do you have some evidence to demonstrate it?

It seems to me you have an idea and are at the beginning of trying to prove your hypothesis, but you also make factual statements without proper explanation and with any evidence to back it up in my humble opinion. It's always great to have new ideas and if you need some thoughts/suggestions/help you probably need provide a bit more information (well for me anyway!) :)
I went through there and corrected the typos. Oh my God. There was like a dozen. Siri doesn’t listen😂Should be a little more clear now.

I was drinking next to some old snaggletooth at the bar... I told him I was looking for Raxxla...he drew a symbol with his thumb on the dusty surface....
A line with a triangle attached...

What is that? (I asked)

Thorn - the tree... the
the arrow... The flash of lightning.
.. said he

I remember a Tornqvist.. thorny branch I think... and Cora is that what you mean?

Cora - Kore - the core
The womb, the maiden
(he mumbled through his beer)

What do you think the Omphalos is kid? He said with a sideways grin.

I replied: I dont really know I - I was trying to figure out "a place that isnt a place - a door that is also the key"...

Having finished his glass he lifted himself up off his stool - looked at me - and said "if I knew that- would I be here drinking this swill?... but it sounds like Utopia to me...definitely not a place." He winked... As to the key, youve got me... And he proceeded to stagger his way out the door... towards the Arcade.

The story of the Thorn seems to be a little complex.
It started as a scandinavian rune Thurisaz - https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Thurisaz
It ended as a bit of cheesy advertising as in “Ye Olde Pub” due to the corruption of the thorn symbol and laziness of medieval typesetters.
😉

Peter's Base was a Coriolis. If memory is serving me correctly, per "All that Glisters" he was instrumental in it's construction. It is therefore possible that Facece was originally known as Vetitice.

The Vetitice connection..

View attachment 343637

If one of the planets in Facece used to be called Vetitice, my guess is we are looking for the first Coriolis with dimensions of 1 kilometer on a side (modern Coriolis stations are 2 kilometers on a side). Shape should be isohedron and look very similar to a Guardian Orb - just obviously much larger. The one in Lave is the first full-scale version, I believe.

View attachment 343639

Modern Coriolis stations are cuboctahedrons with a 2-kilometer diameter. When it was first introduced by GalCop, the design had a much smaller diameter of 1 kilometer, but beginning in the 3200's the size was increased. By the 3300's, although new Coriolis stations continue to be built both within the Core Systems and out in the frontiers of the Colonia Region and Pleiades Nebula, maintaining them has become more costly as parts have become more difficult to procure or manufacture.[1]*

* - Per Elite Encounters RPG

In other words, are the Coriolis stations in Facece the current dimensions or not?

Approximate shape we are looking for..

Though, the major problem here is does it really match with the Raxxla Codex? No obviously but would be something concrete that would not immediately stand out unless you paid really close attention. Though, orbital installations would be really good for hiding something.

Perhaps I can help - my family heritage stretches back a lonnnnnng way. You would not believe some of the things we find in the family estate on Zaonce, especially when we unearthed that strongbox that great-factorial-father really, really didn't want The Revenue to find.

Anyway, we were involved in consulting on some of the new types of space stations (we got into that after our first fortune made on Lave from parking enforcement.)

So I can tell you that back then there were THREE kinds of space station design kicking around.
  • Coriolis - the cuboctahedron - I cannot tell you how complicated the legal battle was with Buckminster Structural Design Inc.
  • The "Dodo" - a Dodecahedron. One of our companies used a stylised lofi illustration on our letterhead. Most of that paperwork was destroyed in a suspiciously convenient fire just before the Third Great Revenue Raid.
  • The "Ico" - and that contract is what paid for the estate on Zaonce. The internal layout of these included a really clever stacked parking system for luxury liners. THOSE stations looked like your picture there in green.
The Icos were hellaciously expensive though, so in the end it was mostly high-tech systems that took them.

As for Vetitice itself - it was famously smack in the middle of the G1 region of the Galactic Centre; there's references to that everywhere in the records from Zaonce. It was definitely a human system BUT none of the names for nearby systems seem to be current so I don't know. They had to ban tourism from neighbouring worlds Sotiqu and Maxeedso after an unfortunate dinner incident between a Small Frog and a Small Black Fat Insect, where the latter became dinner for the former.

We did find some scribbles on the back of a beermat about possible export routes (things were tricky back then when it simply wasn't possible to jump farther than 7ly.) As far as we can work out the red box is Zaonce and the green box is Vetitice. What's weird is that Ededleen and Tianve much farther right on this map seem to have kept their names but none of the systems neighbouring Vetitice have...

The original description of Raxxla from the Dark Wheel, fits nicely with every planet that has Guardian structures.

"It's (Raxxla) a ghost world. A planet. A legend"
"on Raxxla there's an alien construct that's a gateway to other Universes"

Going by only this information, it's valid to assume that we have not only have found Raxxla. We have found a bunch of Raxxlas. We just don't know how to opperate the gateway. 🤷‍♂️

All Guardian planets are ghost worlds. Their inhabitants are long gone, but the structures are not dead. They also all have alien constructs, that are gateways to the monolith network. That network is probably a universe of it's own, with all the sentient AI that are probably still inn there.

And given the hostile nature of those Guardian AI perhaps we shouldn't be looking for Raxxla!!!

You forget we have our own closet full of horrors. I still wonder if Blue Vipers handed over the Human AI from Nemorensis to Archon Delaine. Because that particular one became sentient and wants vengeance upon humanity. Further, immediately after gaining sentience it was infected by what I can only assume was a creature designed as a bio-weapon by the Guardians. If that damn thing tag teams with the Guardian Civil AI we are well and truly screwed. I found the station (system Baltah'Sine / Baltah'Sine Station - one of many connected to the Marlinists) it happened near and it would be easy for this thing to be actively plotting against humans. The species that infected it can take over computer systems and living creatures. The Raxxlans took over planets via subterfuge. I also suspect that is why Diso Ma Corn is no longer harvested via machine.

Mmm, decided to perform a sanity check on this hypothesis, against what we know. (blame FD! I was going to finally get back in-game today after a week out trying to understand the ramifications of domestic solar panels and heat pumps in the UK, but the latest Update has intervened). Firstly:
FD sources:
(DB) Drew Wagar reported “ I talked with David Braben at bar after an award ceremony. I asked him "Is Raxxla in the game?"

He answered with "Yes. And we know where it is." (I assumed the "we" meant Frontier Developments).”

It was Tuesday the 8th July 2014 at about 7pm David Braben was giving his presentation which was called "My other car's a Cobra Mk3." at the Bafta Games Showcase (building was near Piccadilly in London): Raxxla...? Well - "It exists, we know where it is and we know why people haven't been able to find it..."

forums.frontier.co.uk/threads/the-day-i-met-david-braben.25158/post-536632

(MB) “It’s in the Milky Way” and “you have to make some of it a tiny little bit obvious so people know what they’re doing”

Q: founder's world name?...Shinrarta Dezhra... I'm a tiny little bit disappointed they didn't call it Raxxla - A: (MB) “Raxxla is something different”

(MB) “FD did look at a story involving Raxxla, but felt that was a story that should be played out in game rather than as a novel”

(MB) “It’s something in the game world (not text) and very hard to find”

(MB) “It’s not a random thing”

(MB) “Anyone can find it, and more than once”

(Allen Stroud) “it is a topic within the Alien lore book” that we have no insight into

(DB) “You don’t know what it is”

Yep, I think it meets all those criteria. We still dont know what it is, but a particular Guardian site which actually does something significant, and hence is Raxxla, is a useful working hypothesis.

The Codex:
Wont repeat everything, just I think the salient points:

The toast could just be exactly that and not a map to Raxxla!

legend of Raxxla has been circulating, in whispers, for centuries. So either it was physically discovered by an explorer such as Augustus Brenquith, or perhaps it was information deciphered from the alien Mars Artefact?
(Though a possibility is still that it’s an Guardian AI isolated on Triton but that was the original source of the artefact).
First Raxxla rumour record dated 2296, 16 years after Mars alien artefact discovered, so feasible.
Compliant with “Raxxla is a definite place and that it holds a mystical secret”? - yep, probably
Omphalos Rift, a alien gateway or tunnel to parallel universes? - possibly
“Princess Astrophel and the Spiralling Stars”- possible red herring. Or maybe entering the Omphalos results in spiralling stars? Or does the Thargoid map show Guardian sites? Or...possibly red herring!
Fernweh paragraph? Likely fluff, but I think we should set ourselves up as a squadron, the “Fernweh Vagabonds”!
several conspiracy theories say it has already been discovered by some kind of sinister cabal (or sole tyrant)-yep. I u derstand that Halsey’s “Caretakers of the Universe” was an attempt by The Club to distract from Guardians. Also that sole tyrant could be the Guardian AI isolated on Triton.

The Logo
Is this reminiscent if any part of any Guardian site discovered to date?
47AD1996-631E-4BAE-B6BD-DB8D404F6559.png

Incidentally, while trying to find a pic of the logo (thought I had a copy on my ipad but no...but I do now) I found this on Reddit.
Source: https://www.reddit.com/r/EliteDangerous/comments/axvkyd/this_is_what_raxxla_could_look_like/

Might have appeared in this thread a while ago, not sure. But interesting concept, vaguely reminds me of those strange Guardian beacons, which have always struck me as hiding something more...

The idea that Raxxla is of Guardian origin and likely identifies as any / every or a primary guardian site we’ve found or yet to find, is a practical application of the data we have and not out of the realms of believability.

Prior to FD dropping Guardian teasers what evidence was there to their actual existence?

It could fit with the description of ghost worlds, alien constructs etc, it even matches the removed PF/ED missions concerning crystal shards!

Imagining how the DW missions might have played out, they might have resolved towards any Guardian planet, and then FD would then roll out the Guardian narrative…as they have so far and Raxxla remains a partial mystery.

The Guardians nemeses were the Thargoids… if following this logic with Brookes involvement, Thargoids are likewise good match for his ‘old ones’ thread from his unwritten book, plus they are tied to the Pleiades, which in itself is a good link to Lovecraft, another of Brookes inspirations.

I think under Brookes, if Raxxla was not so linked, and was more of a Holdstock story, remembering how Stroud indicated, Holdstock was not something Braben was interested in, but more so Brookes…then it being tied to the Guardians and the Mars relic is a good fit.

This would explain why we haven’t found it, because we already have, we just don’t know it yet, because as @Jorki Rasalas alludes we haven’t figured out how / if we can turn it on…because maybe such a ‘key’ is narratively locked to some ‘payoff’ as Arthur emphatically described it!… think Thargoid feet invasions, then Guardian AIs coming in at the last minute to rescue us / mop the floor etc!

A little disappointing if it were, I’d prefer a Holdstock Easter egg, maybe it was, maybe they changed the direction and absorbed Brookes potential ’Founders-sided story’ into a shared narrative everyone could be involved in… but nether the less it’s a theory…and like the Mars relic, why FD won’t talk, because it’s their narrative and they don’t want us jumping chapters…

FYI: new update may be the much wanted on-foot alien update. If that is the case, pay attention to limbs and markings while trying not to get killed. We might be about to find out what in the hell we are fighting. Oresrian and Klaxxian had slightly different legs and markings. I don't think this is merely as simple as Thargoids want us dead. If they wanted that, it could have been arranged. Current alien posturing doesn't fit with an agenda of extermination. In other words, please don't shoot first and ask questions later. There is very real chance we haven't been told the truth about what we are fighting. If it doesn't match Codex, I would strongly advise we find a way to de-escalate as this species may or may not know something of this Raxxla business.

Ah yes, good spot. I’d forgotten the old E/F missions and their crystal shards. That could well have been the Raxxla storyline. Maybe pulled because they wanted to extend the game timescale (profitsss?) and delay the Guardian stroryline start.
Of course we do have Guardian “keys” from the beacons...perhaps their use to get guardian blueprints is another obfuscation/red herring and they have a more pertinent use?

The beacons seem to me to be very ornate and ought to have more to their existence than merely to give us ancient keys to open the ground site repository.

Edit:
“Place that is not a Place, door that is also the key”???

Yes seen it too; very perplexing…

I wouldn’t be surprised. Recalling how FD implemented the Stargoids. The first Cmdr to fall over a Stargoid (apparently they had a RL tip-off) they stated they were able (like many a Cmdr) to chase them, but to their surprise the Stargoid did not just travel in a straight line… but it manoeuvred around stars (like a gravitational sling shot)…?

Not sure how much I put into that source, because if true it’s pretty amazing FD did that… but even MORE amazing they didn’t tell anyone about it (or did they?) and such behaviour went by essentially ignored!

Likewise to this oddity, why would FD intentionally do this, but never promote it nor give us tools to find it!

My gut tells me bug or graphical anomaly…

None?

In terms of development costs and time investment of the Guardian release and subsequent updates in terms of bases, gameplay loop, Ram Tah mission, beacons, lore, ships, weapons, modules, etc... Was that quite a lot for just a way to fight Thargoids?

A few community goals for the engineers to knock up some new weapons based on some Thargoids materials would have been a lot cheaper and quicker?

Another piece of development work that would have taken some time, money and resources... Did anyone work out why?
