Petting zoo and domestics
If a petting zoo pack is wanted/needed.
A couple of us including me supported the idea of domestics and lead to a 12 page argument why we should/shouldn't include them.
More like 30 pages but yeah lol
A refined "indoor building" experience is something I'd very much look for in a sequel to this game (hopefully alongside a revamp of the exhibit system that would allow for custom sizes, refined lighting systems, etc). I don't think they had the kind of hyper-detailed interiors people want to make in mind when they initially developed the game.
That's why Twilight and Arid are the worst packs imo. Full of wasted potential.
How would that even work?
Let's not place arid and worst in the same sentence, certain people tend to get quite upset at the sight of that.
They both have their ups and downs imo. I’ve warmed up to both. Arid doesn’t have the most exciting roster however it caries a more realistic roster for Africa sections, and twilight I’m glad wasn’t 100% made of Halloween pieces cause most of the stuff is actually pretty useful. Skunk is boring but other than that i approve of the roster.
It is not about the name. We barely have animals that are only kept in nocturnal buildings. Sure if you don't like nocturnal buildings the pack wouldn't interest you. But I cannot imagine no one is interested in such a pack. And animals like slow loris, aye aye etc are just so different than what we already have. Every other pack (except birds or aquarium) would have more versions of the animals we already have: another cat or canine, more ungulates, perhaps a bird or monkey if we get Lucky ... There is nothing wrong with that but true nocturnal animals would feel more refreshing to me. I would be pleasantly surprised should we get such a pack.
And on that note... A true nocturnal animals Animal Pack and a desert scenery pack with maybe western or mexican theme could be a way to compensate this. So i think they could still have a place in the game just not maybe under those specific names.
And btw I believe Arctic and Australia are the worst packs to throw my two cents in
Australia is one of my favorite packs lol it still is. I love the building pieces and most of the animal choices.
Arctic yes. Is the most boring one out of them all and lacks an exhibit animal. I didn't even remembered it exists lol it is right in the bottom of the list that i can agree.
The most useless scenery set idea I’ve ever heard of (this isnt directed at you it’s just in general) I’m building a zoo, not a saloon.
Don't look at zoos in texas then
there's quite a few with old west scenery.Well Australia, South América, Tropical, Twilight are all packs with heavy thematic pieces. I'm not building a castle either and yet i still got the set for it. Lol
You can always use the wood pieces for a lot of other builds. Plus the wild west as a theme for decorating habitats or zoo sections is something i've seen people already do with the current pieces. I personally prefer a desert pack to focus on Mexican culture and colonial building but maybe that's to tangencial to the theme to be possible.
I like the Koala and Kangaroo, the dingo I don’t use at all and I think I’ve only used the cassowary like once, despite it being a high quality animal. The scenery is completely useless to me though, too themed.
Right but i like giving the australian theme to.my australian sections lol aboriginal pieces and signs, colored wood posts, rusty metal planks are all things i really enjoy from that pack.
And the Cassowary remains the Best bird in the game to me, can't believe You have only used it once
