I won't be posting the list of systems, however you can get it yourself. Search the NASA radio catalogue with the string sequence: PSR J0006+1834 to PSR J2354+6155 within 57 kiloparsecs. Export the list and cross reference the names in-game (not all pulsars are included in Elite). There are a few pulsars that have proper names in Elite, so include those as well (I suggest EDDiscovery to make it easier). Run it through Spansh to create an efficient route and off you go.
Yes, neutrons are a strong candidates for sirens.

If the reference to a "siren" does point to a pulsar or neutron star then there's a problem with the Bootes Void. It doesn't seem to have either one - no reference I can find online on this void mentions any.

There was a system I came across ages ago that had 8 neutron stars around a black hole . I dont remember the system now and I dont have it logged on pc cause this was found on xbox. I'm going to have to dust the thing off and launch elite there and cross reference systems I discovered. Hopefully they haven't turned off xbox elite yet.

So that's that hypothesis demolished, then. Any other voids out there?

COL 285 SECTOR IV-N A36-1 - it exists. This is normal in the bubble. Most boxel names have "human readable" system names first.

You can still search for the boxel name and it will take you to the system.

What's more, many systems will have multiple alternative names, starting with "human readable", catalogue references like HIP and HD, constellation names like "LAMBDA ANDROMEDAE" or "MU CASSIOPEIA", constellation index names, like "3 CASSIOPEIA" (those tend to overlap with constellation names and in that case often they get combined like "8 SIGMA CASSIOPEIA" (this one is hard to guess, and if you ever need to find something like that, it's easiest to find the star on wikipedia, and find out its HD catalogue reference - HD references seem to work very reliably).

On top of that some stars may exist in multiple boxels - the obvious ones are nebula stars, which appear on the map with nebula boxel name, but you will also find them under their container boxel if you iterate through the boxel numbers - since boxels can overlap this can be non-obvious which particular boxel has what you actually want to find. There is also a situation where some boxels overlap and stars on the boundaries may have two boxel indicators, which you normally don't see but if you scan systems by boxels you'll find that quite often.

Then there are bugs in the map like "D VELORUM" - there are actually 2 separate systems, which got indexed by INARA as a single entity.

Allot of people keep saying the landscape signal is just an empty sound box within the skybox. I dont think that. The other issue is since we dont have realtime star to position transitional system to system travel You can fly to that position for days and endup with zero results because the game forces you to jump to load the next skybox segment. That got really frustrating while chasing the titans when they first appeared. As much as I love the fsd concept let me fly between the stars and explore there. We got one part right with the sco drives we just need a system that allows us to use that system to travel to other stars without a loading screen. And I don't think Elite was designed that way to save on memory cost. Loadins and other techincal stuff to make the game functional. But yeah if you ever head out towards sag a. take a look and listen to those areas. You can hear the audio shifts happen in real time as is passes by each star. Hard to do that when your far away from it.

I am currently listening for sounds in the Col 285 Sector XX-A b14-3 system. It's got 2 stars close to one another humming.

Have you (or anyone else looked into the "letters" that appear BEFORE the landscape signal?

Attached also spectrogram settings.

Well, there's this.

Region 18, the Inner Orion Spur, is where Sol is.

source: https://elite-dangerous.fandom.com/wiki/The_Void

You could also take this more literally and there are neutron stars far below and above the galactic plane, both regions could be easily considered "void" and the lower one would be the "deepest void"? I don't believe that's the solution, but that's a fun expedition on its own merit anyway. You probably want to take a carrier there though since if you make a neutron jump there, you're probably not coming back.

Exciting prospect 😁 But it's very unlikely that the Dark Wheel, or Raxxla for that matter, is in Region 42.

The Orbis station of the Dark Wheel must have been one of the earliest such stations set up by Brewer corp since the org has existed from pretty much the beginning of hyperspace flight. It can't be very far from Sol.

Also, I'd argue that if this is meant to be a sector, then "the abyss" (sector 40) would fit better as the "deepest void".

Yes, but material on that sector is very hard to come by. It's very difficult to figure out how that translates to a directional pointer without data 🤷‍♂️

If the Abyss is the place, and you happen to be in the bubble, then the Abyss is on exactly opposite end of the galaxy, and the siren is probably Sag A*.

if I remember from awhile when we did this the mountains arent mountains but part of the Sagittarius constellation seen from Vega. I dont remember what the letters where for. You might have to ask someone from cannon research.

Dr Kaii loved looking at stuff from Vega so it has allot of value to the game from their perspective. It's Speculative They hid something within the system but no one has found it yet. We did get a bit of lore of a diamonback being stolen from Fort Dixon. But nothing went further after that. Just clues to something that got lost to the winds. Also I know everyone is being all weird about the park art peices from the space stations. Well hate spoiling it but they represent Vega. That's all i can tell you after that. Everything else hits dead ends after that.

I'm out about ~85ly from FOMALHAUT (probably a bit far) just nosing around based on Drakks R2R and noticed that there appears to be a missing system based on the naming conventions? I must confess it's certainly not my area of expertise, but I don't recall a sector missing a 1 in sequential naming of systems in my exploration experience to-date?

Where is COL 285 SECTOR IV-N A36-1? Is this normal?

Fly Dangerously,
/ Ra
Its very possible this system is used as a named system somewhere, All named systems have the ID name of generation and use sector naming conventions from it, any close by named systems/hip/hr/bd etc? most likely your missing one

Stations can move, jump etc its not unheard of stations being upgraded and moved, Jaques being the most famous but there is many

Interesting. Although Vega requires a permit (not hard to get, but still).

its been there for years, its been reported for a long time.. not high on their list
No, this is a brand new issue since the previous one didn't gather enough confirmations to go through. Hopefully that will be achieved this time, so please confirm it yourself if you can.

Hey guys, we need help reporting a possible bug: https://issues.frontierstore.net/issue-detail/71446

Basically it's a crashed Thargoid ship which shows as "Guardian" signal. We need people to replicate it and confirm it shows Guardian, so FDev can either fix the bug or confirm it's working as intended (which would open a tinfoil can).
I can find it and report it. There has been things like that for a long time now. I am surprised it never got fixed. : Also dumb thought has anyone brought a grelic to it at all?
