I filed the ticket 16 days ago, but no response. I filed the ticket because the ship merchant was obviously trying to trick people into buying his ships by falsely advertising a cheaper price than what we have to pay. I know it cost me millions in lost income as I had to get a cobra too, and use that to trade slowly up to be able to afford insurance and modules.

And you won't be getting any refund either as M.B> said there are no plans to refund so I lost 5-6 mill well FD don't care, anymore than the other tricks they have pulled. You will just have to suck it up.
 
Gee, should they fix things that 5 out of 300,000 are experiencing, or huge things that 299,995 are experiencing, like comms not working? Bounties not counting if you cargo scan while you K-Scan? The balance of income for trading versus every other profession? Ships disappearing during interdiction? Ships not appearing in your instance after interdiction? Did I mention comms not working?

TL;DR - Yes.

It was stated several times that the fixes you are waiting for are still under development. Telling them they should release something which isn't finished doesn't help.

In my instance the station became immediately Red on my hud and started shooting, the death message mentioned loitering but I'd only just been released by the landing pad. I figured the transaction server had missed that i'd paid off a fine (for accidental tresspass) and then the game had not dealt with that sensibly.
 
What about the bug's where map or other options don't work, and the only fix is a fresh install ... even then it still bugs after a few games??

Really getting annoyed that so many options don't work ... and had an open ticket for a month now.
 
Well, it looks the shyster that ripped you off has been run out of the system, but the local government can't make up your loss - maybe, someday down the line, you'll get a chance to meet up with him and exact suitable recompense for your inconvenience ;)

You must delete folder "player" into user/app data/Frontier dev...
 
I would like to know, if players who bought a Ship there recently and made a Ticket afterwards because they dont got the discount, can now expect a refund for the missing credits. It would be really nice if Frontier would do that :)

There are no plans for this.

It isn't any different they just cannot be to show any customer loyalty or respect.
 
The devs HAVE given feedback on these things actually.

What you are really asking for is to have all of the neatly summarized somewhere and yes, that would be a good idea.

Correct, that's the idea and would be great to have. People are getting the notion they're not being heard, because many tickets are not answered (at least mine haven't which have been open for weeks) and a lot of threads about bugs have no reply from an FD employee.

Summarizing known bugs and fixes would help a lot in this department.

As this is a major update it is going to a separate BETA test instance first before being merged into the live world. Anyone with BETA access will also get BETA access to Wings for free. I'm assuming that others will be allowed to pay to upgrade to BETA Wings. After it's passed beta everyone should get it in the core game for free. (It WILL NOT BE a paid upgrade for ANYONE)

Comms worked fine when I started playing. Bounty hunting was more lucrative when I started playing. Ships didn't disappear during interdiction... et cetera. You have to consider that some of these issues cropped up post patch and a simple rollback on the affected code would resolve some of it.

I wouldn't mind having more fixes and more of everything but I am also aware that they have been back to work for 8 days now and have released a few patches since then. The only one not showing respect in this thread is you.

How about you save you breath to cool your porridge, calm down and post when you have a more constructive attitude?

If anything that should show you why it is a bad idea to rush something out before beeing finished with it. So all moaning about they should release fix x/y already is pointless and contra productive.
 
The landing pad hologram disappearing bug is something that will be fixed in the next major update.

also something seems to be seriously wrong with the gaming community how can there so many entitled brats be in one place. Wow.
 
Unable to log in since update

Hey guys...anyone else having problems logging in since the 1.05 update?

Getting the error 'game failed to communicate with authentication server, check your internet and try again'.

Well, internet is working fine (obvs, as I'm posting this), login details haven't changed at all, so out of ideas, unless the servers are still down for some reason. Anyone else getting this?? Any ideas greatly appreciated...missing my fix!

It was always stated that the discounted ship prices listed in Founders World were an error, and that they should be charged at full price (which they were, which was indeed different from the listed price). The listed price was the bug, not the price charged.

Then FD made a decision that instead of changing the displayed prices to match what is charged (the same as everyone was paying everywhere) that they would reduce the actual price in Founders World to match the displayed price. This is (should be?) excellent news for everyone who has access to this station (Kickstarter Backers, some lucky/bugged Alpha/Beta backers, and anyone reaching Elite status in any category).

However, just because the price changes now, that doesn't mean that it is retrospectively changed for all past purchases, and it is not reasonable to expect this. If they change the prices of any given weapon or equipment at any time then I don't expect them to retroactively change the price anyone who ever bought that item will have paid.

I know I've paid full price for ships that were listed as discounted, but that the displayed price was the bug, not the price I paid. I also know that in future I will have the benefit of having cheaper ships available.

In other words: Suck it up Buttercup.

... closing tickets with "This is a known bug that will be fixed in the future" is perfectly acceptable.

I agree with this entirely.

What I would like to see, though, is my ticket marked as a Duplicate, followed by a link to - and an option to follow the state of - the original/first, unclosed bug report, so I can get visibility on its progress. I think this would also ease some of the concerns about lack of feedback from Frontier seen elsewhere on this forum.
 
It tickles my spine every time I see Elite Dangerous progress toward even more awesomeness...and I'm already enjoying it to no end :D 2015 is looking fantastic!

I see another problem in that case. What if someone sell a ship from the Founders world now ? Does the system "know" that I did not got the discount due to the bug in the first place and use the original value for the calculation or do I get some "double punishment" because the system gives me only the sell value based on the discounted price, because it don't know that I payed the full price because of the bug ? That would be really bad, because I would have been "robbed" when buying the ship and get robbed again when selling it.

So it would be really important from my point of view to ensure, that the system have always stored the "real" buy price for calculating the sell price, otherwise it would be a really bad customer experience when players get punished twice for a mistake which was not made by them. That would be discouraging. So if that is too complicated maybe it would be easier to refund the missing credits, to mitigate the loss of these players and prevent further tickets from being created.
