Imprecise keyboard/mouse controls, switch to joystick?
So, I got elite dangerous two days ago. I preceded to install it, and attempt the training missions. I could barely fly, so I messed with settings. I just could not hit anything, every after 3 hours sitting there trying. I then proceeded to rage. Intesnse, desk banging, purple faced rage. I tried to find a way to get a refund. Next day, I found a forum post with a control scheme that's pretty good. I'm pretty glad I didn't find a way to get a refund. I still can't aim with keyboard/mouse in combat though. I just hate relative mode, it's terrible for general piloting. But absolute is almost as bad
for combat. I simply overshot every time. It feels
so wrong to have my mouse keep moving, and oftentimes I can't find the center whilst trying to aim to make it stop. So, will a joystick solve my problem? I'd think it would simply because of the fact that when you decrease pressure on the axis, is moves back to center, allowing for fine adjustments ( I hope ). If a joystick would help with this, which one would you recommend? I'm looking at either the Thrustmaster T-Flight HOTAS X or the Saitek X52 (no pro for me, unless it's really
that much better). Is the X52 worth the extra money? I want to be really sure, because I've heard some horror stories about the X52 having problems (plus, I'm obsessed with finding the
best setup in my price range).

Thanks for any assistance you can provide Commanders!
