She's a psycho! Can I call my DC a she, I wonder? At the same time, no bumping in to other ships for weeks, which is a great improvement, especially consiering the speed it pushes the ship at. On the subject of speed, why no speeding warning when she is boosting towards the station, or inside when heading towards the station rear pads? Love the 98 to 99 Ms as she slips through the letter box; one can almost feel the cheeky grin.

Technically speaking your DC is a virtual representation of Sarah Jane - it is she that docks your ship when you are too lazy, ahem sorry, are too busy to do it yourself. ;)

So calling your DC a she is probably pretty accurate. :)

Faster? It's not faster enough for people?

Just make it like the C64 one where the instant you activate it, you're teleported into the station.. :p

Next upgrade to DC fixes this. Plus I made it a bit faster/safer in places.

Please, Miss, could you shave a couple of seconds off the landing time when docking at an out post? I think you could if you didn't pull out into the horizontal quite so early and, maybe, make the "Stuka" dive a bit faster.

On the subject of the dive, it is a shame there is no sound in space as you could also fit a Stuka Siren - that would be awesome. Maybe its worth getting the computer to play the siren sound just for the people in the ship. The high wingover, the screaming dive, the last second pull-out and the Blue Danube playing in the final seconds before touchdown whilst the uninitiated rush to what our American cousins coyly call the call the restroom.

Hahahaha, good point about the loo bit Tera. Need time to fill up on tea and time to empty it. Also, if it's too fast then the Blue Danube playing in the background will sound odd to someone having a heartbeat as fast as a F1 racing driver.

Excellent review. I haven't needed or wanted a docking computer yet (can land my Clipper just fine myself, thanks), but I am very seriously considering it for when I buy an Anaconda or a Type 9.

If you are already happy landing a clipper than I doubt you will have trouble with a T9 or Anaconda tbh (as they aren't difficult to dock).

Haven't used DC by now, but looks I have to give it a try asap. ;)

And btw, it is awesome to see dev's respond in discussions. Greetings to you Sarah!

I's recieved reports from Commanders in my group of their auto dock module bugging out and destroying thier ship at some station. Don't use them myself as i feel i've become quite profficient at docking but i'd say be carefull it can't be fun to go for a drink only to return to an insurance deductable and some lost cargo or the like.

I forgot that my Viper dosen't have a Docking Computer.

Best thing ever made!

Four Grand isn't worth a rebuy. I have a Diamondback Explorer worth 400k in Rebuy (I'm poor with 3 mill in the bank and have Beta rates). I wouldn't even think about attaching an Auto-dock in my Diamondback and should I get to a Large vessel I still wouldn't use one.

If you are using autodock and something screws up and your ship gets blowed up. You can make a ticket and get the lost funds back. Well at least you should be able to.

I wasnt using the autodock once when docking and something happened and my ship got scapped for some reason. I submitted a ticket and got my rebuy and lost cargo value back.

So if the autodock messes up i am sure they would review the ticket and the data from what happened and deal with it the same.

The DC is great, but it helps to learn to dock. If you are hostile, the DC tells you that you are on your own.
I dusted off my Viper tonight and forgot, it had no DC fitted. With DC I throttle down and boost boost the request docking and let the DC do its stuff.
