Hmm, a video showcasing the talent of a couple of guys messing around with some Star Citizen assets and actually making what they had look BETTER than what CiG are able to do, without a single cent from backers.
Remind me, *how* does showing this video in anyway make CiG look GOOD?
*Edit* Oh and just so you know, please can you confirm that CiG have *definitely* told backers, the gaming press and anybody else, that planetary landings will be coming out this year?![]()
watch their bums as they walk away from you and tell me you've ever seen a human walk like that who's not got serious lower back problems. it's still nothing to shout about, the rest i've seen in games for years - I'm not trying to be nasty I just genuinely cannot for the life of me see why you'd be so excited about it?Hehe if you think that video is good ... well you will like what August will bring. That's all CIG assets, from graphics to animations (yay for mocap).
Haha, oh my!
And they said the the SC community are the "Toxic" ones [rolleyes]
I don't know about customer discrimination, but it has been suggested elsewhere that the practice of taking a customer's details, stalking him on unrelated sites, linking together his usernames and retaining that information within their own records could be a severe breach of the United Kingdom's Data Protection Act. This is relevant because, moral abhorrance aside, CIG's customer support is based in the UK.

All the guys did by themselves was write the script, pretty cool actually, those INN guys got some writing skills. And the cryengine job was the work of Fiendishfeather, a backer who twinkles with Cryengine for a while now.
About planetary landing it is know that is the next big push to add jointly with the large scale solar system with procedural planets.
They talked about it in the monthly report as in other recent events. Going from space, to atmosphere, and eventually landing on the ground.
Planets with water, trees, Mountains, Caves etc. I firmly believe it will be showcased @ Gamescom Show and some months later released to backers.
Similar to how they showcased the Universe Multicrew Demo 2.0 in september 2015 and released to backers in December.
I want a non-hacked version of this:

The lack of e3 action really set alarm bells ringing.why bail at the very last second on an appearance at E3, where CiG, if they had something substantial to show, could have whipped up a showreel that could be displayed at the event instead, whilst they got on with knuckling down and working on SQ42 and such....
This.
I don't get how the activity of playing a game is enhanced in any way by watching a mini-movie chopped up into tiny yet inescapable portions regardless of who is in it.
If I want to watch a movie I don't sit down in front of my PC to fire up a firkin PC game!
Haha, oh my!

Sadly the chance of CRoberts and chums ever being able to produce something as groundbreaking as that, judging by both past works and currently delivered/leaked material, are so close to zero as to not be worth mentioning...
Stop being so defensive/negative about everything Star Citizen, it's just a game anyway.
Maybe because this isn't a "flying a spaceship game", more a "first person universe game", with ship's and other stuff.
Besides, yes it looks boring and IT is boring to manually change loadouts.
"Weapon here, missile over there, engine ?? Oh buger it's on the other side..." It's the base foundation of the system, I think the direction they are going is that you will be able to do it automatically (Space-Shop$$) or by yourself one by one or all at the same time with the holotable in a 2D/3D UI.
Not sure how having to walk around a ship to change missiles is the basic foundation. Being able to change them is the basic foundation. Doing this is worryingly like someone's bad idea of super fun immersion.
One more video that "prove" how "good" are actual physics in SC 2.4...pay attention when 2 ships at 1:23 collide....

What's with the sounds?
They're incredibly bad and out of place.
