XBone is already DX11 and 64bit
Also XBO now supports DX12 too. I expect FD to do DX12 version to squeeze extra performance for post Horizons stuff.

CR needs to hire Obsidan for Europe marketing team![]()
Why is it that Obsidan Ant's coverage of the video gets me hyped for SC and hopefully, but CIGs presentation just made me think this is doomed?

What's the average monthly salary of a middle dev in places like Austin and Manchester? Anyone know? (And of course, its only going to give a very rough estimate of salaries, not even covering other operational expenses. I seem to recall one CFO stating (depending on the business of course) that staff salaries only counted for about 1/3 of monthly expenditure.

But I guess, most money is coming for US...so focus is US market...
Also with claims that streamers have gotten paid for positive SC coverage without disclosing it publicly, which is violation of the law in US.that would be a mistake for OA to get entangled into that mess. With the reputation CIG has I would stay as far away as possible.
Yeah, 60M figure puts a lot of this in perspective. And if those mocaps are botched...this is really harsh situation to find themselves into.Initially I thought the 60 million dollar price tag for the motion capture parts of the game was overblown and ridiculous.
But they're claiming there's 20+ hours of it, so we're talking 3 million per hour of motion capture. That to me still sounds expensive until you consider that they commissioned the Imaginarium studio for the job. They're the motion capture house, part owned by Gollum himself, so 3 million an hour starts to sound very believable. Most Hollywood megabudget films won't have much more than an hour or so of mo-cap shots, let alone 20 or more!
If CIG really have blown that much money on this, or even half as much you can't really blame them for not wanting to show anything that's less than perfect.
The fact that they seem to made such a hash of it is a disaster. And not only that, that longer it takes them to sort it out the more it's costing them.
Same shill that pretty much wet himself at the Gamescon trailer and stated as total fact that because you could see through the windows there were no instances - no instances at all! it's all one instance!

He's an idiot who knows nothing, simple as. Someone hired to play the everyman to let us know what to think. I dunno why anyone would post his stuff it's embarrassing for the project.

This my idea was a joke, I think OA is not going to work for CIG, but if he does than we can start to call him a sellout ;P
On the other hand, £2.3M for an entire year of what's supposed to be a high-priced/high-brand studio does itself seem… off. And it's not like it's a new studio — they were involved with Ryse, which came out 3 years ago. So what on earth is going on there? It's still wildly out of the park. Imaginarium's entire turnover for last year was a shade under £2.3 million: how CIG managed to burn $60 mil is anyone's guess.
would the actor's fees show up on imaginarium's books? It's still wildly out of the park. Imaginarium's entire turnover for last year was a shade under £2.3 million: how CIG managed to burn $60 mil is anyone's guess.

Ah but Roberts can achieve anything! Look at... er... erm. OK I dunno.

To keep the hype train rolling, however the hype train is running out of fuel, right now they are burning the furnitures and everything else that can get into the burner.
I find it funny, when FD released the first trailer everyone was shouting FAKE!! YOU CAN"T DO THAT IN THE GAME!! well no that is true, thus the "not in game footage"
However SC show something that take ages or even never get into the hands of the players are praised to the sky! Weird.

If I was an actor's agent faced with Roberts' confidence and a 3-film/game long job and a whole load of fundng with questionable chances of completion I'd be asking for the fee for all three upfront to secure the roleI'd assume not, so there's a chunk to allow there. But $55 mil for ~20 hours? I should have paid more attention in drama class!![]()
