In which zone are we? Within 150 LYs from Merope?
I take it we're looking for TS candidate systems?
I'm wondering if the area of TSs might expand to 170-175 LYs like the NHSSs seem to have possibly done?

They are all Ammonia worlds between Sol and Merope <200ly from Sol < 380ly from Merope. Only the ones with Starports.
Take a disco scanner you should make good money at it if you scan all the high value systems.
What's the thinking behind scanning those systems then?
I'm scanning for NHSSs atm, I'm going to do 6 small areas, so far I've covered Sol side, bottom side & my ship's currently parked on the opposite to Sol side ready for scanning 1/2 a dozen systems or so, then I'll be left with left, top & right side to do, unless someone wants to join in of course.

Ah ok thanks [up].
Btw, an oddidty in the NHSS 3d map, it's showing an NHSS detected at a 2 Mass system (top of the bubble), but it isn't in either the manual or auto log......
I'm going to check it out, although I suspect it might just be a bug.... who was it that kept getting fake reports? although that was only hyperdictions IIRC.

If you are just looking at USS and not dropping use the SuperCruise form
If you drop into a non human signal source use the NHSS Form
If you are on a PC it makes like a lot easier if you use EDMC and the plugins.

Although the recent sightings map is ok, as is TSs, barnacles & hyperdictions.

Thanks for doing that survey Assimilator1, I could see on the 3D map how it has extended and also its interesting that the Threat 4s are all over the place as well. Its going to be very hard to re-map over 20,000 systems! The extended range alone will be about 10,000
I might have to see if I can figure out a way of measuring the volume of space surveyed. Maybe just a count of systems per commander would do it.
I'm a bit stumped about 2MASS. I'll have a look.

A problem fetching the manual data entry sheets. If it keeps happening I'll have to make some changes

When i drop into a NHSS, did i need to manually log (via the green button) to submit a report at all or is this method just for adding further information (what class, how many...)?
Also, is it normal that my FPS drop significantly when i have EDMC on Screen (no change when it runs in the background) seems a bit weird too me [noob]

If you drop, then the USS type is automatically logged as before. The buttons allow you to specify how many of each kind of thargoid you encountered. This builds up a report. You can submit the report by hitting the green button, or you can click on the report text to add additional details like the thargoid markings if you managed a scan.
