Thargoid Data Gathering Effort: We need your help!

Im actually in the Pleiades Region, was flying around in Merope to check the "new Interceptor" rumor.
Nothing unusual there besides that i found an (afaik) unusual amount of NHSS-8 (4 Marauders + Medusa droping in, guess this was most likely the reason for the report of a new Intercetor)

Not the most relaxing NHSS to survey by the way...
I totally messed up my routines once, so i ended up right in front of the whole disaster, firing a decontamination limpet* instead the shutdown field neutraliser... whoa, quite a lightshow! Made it barely out with ~18% hull (right decision to go "exploring" with 2,9k Hull and 1,2k Shields) :D

Will stay and try to help Assimilator a bit while waiting what the actual D-Doomclock may bring [where is it]

* What is worth exactly nothing, when a fairly angry Medusa and her always angry Marauder buddys decide to go full, caustic missile shattin, yolo on your shutdowned sorry piece of spacecraft [knocked out] [noob]

D-Doomclock??

Ok so I've mapped systems spanning around the Thargoid bubble from the back (opposite side to Sol) linking to the west, then to the top (a few), down to the east. Not many systems, but enough to show that the bubble probably is upto 175 LYs all the way around, as I've also mapped patches of systems at the bottom & Sol side of the bubble too. I was going to stop there, but I might just scan a few more systems ;), to link the back to the bottom..... but I don't know, gotta draw a line somewhere :p.
Anyway, Stonedthoughts (or anyone), if you want to map more of their extended incursions, theirs plenty of systems left ;), but more useful could be to link the isolated mapped patches at the bottom or Sol side, or you could finish the horizontal ~160-175 LY circle around the bubble. I occasionally go over 175 LYs, just to see if theirs a specific protrusion from the bubble. Nowt over 175 LYs so far...... (attacked station systems excluded).

Lol :D
D-Doomclock??

In case you missed it (Shortversion: A Listening Post in Pollux gave a message that was send to the french Resistance in WW2 and meant that the D-Day/Operation Overlord would start in 48h) :)

Decided to stay aound the Pleiades till something else happens so no problem too have a look here and there.
Actually just went (more or less) straight bottom from Merope and checked some Systems in 180-160Ly distance, will report results later but nothing out of ususal so far.

Reading that link in a second...... [edit] Eek, I see!.......

I've already mapped a few systems straight down from Merope (see 3d map), but there are plenty of gaps between the 6 areas I've mapped around the edge of the bubble :).

Ahh I see, will have a look while being on Patrol, also will check out the California/Witchhead a bit (wonder anyway why the Thargs leave the California Region out).
Great work with observing the area so far, by the way!

Most distant System i found yesterday was Mel 22 Sector AL-F b11-1 (170Ly from Merope)

Fly Save o7

Thanks :), I've just finished mapping NHSS for now, I 'linked' the bottom mapped patch with the far side.
Good luck on the patrol [up].
Oh btw, if you're adding data points for canonns 3d map, I find a gap of about 75 LYs spaces out about right.

Now off to beef up both my Python & Anaconda.

I just visited HIP 17862 11 E.

This formerly "inactive" site is now crawling with scavengers. Is this a thing we knew about? Links to screenshot and the Canonn map below.

EDIT: Same thing on HIP 17694 B 7 F. Scavengers, fresh "eggs," active steam vent, etc.

EDIT 2: And again on PLEIADES SECTOR IR-W D1-38 ABCD 1 A.

Yeah, congrats from me,too. I will translate this into German and will show it to our German community. I know that some of our cmdrs have already installed the USS-plugin and hope that some more will do after reading this article!

I mean't to replay earlier about translating stuff. We will be publicising the Hrafnagud's Eye project, soon but events overtook us and we decided to hold off. We woukld love to have more people on board.

We will have a permanent dashboard of stats coming out of the project soon.

New release of USS Survey is out. Now using it to capture thargoid kills and and thargoid encounter stats so we can get some league tables going
Sweet! :D
Now if I fit some AX weapons to my newly beefed up Python :)....... (CBA with guardian weaps btw)
Although, so far I haven't shot any Thargoid other than scouts, who shoot 1st anyway....

Hello all! I didn't see it listed on the first post but I found something last night that i didn't see mentioned. (Apologies if it has and I missed it.).

I found a NHSS Grade 3 last night in HIP 9599.

It contained 2 Thargoid Scout Variants amongst debris. No NPC vessels.

Didn't know this thread as I tend to gravitate towards Reddit. But I have downloaded the plugin for EDMC (Although a plugin for ED Discovery would be great). Love to see you in the black out there.

Kind regards,

CMDR Jack Wilmslow
