Thargoid Attacks: Where, When and What you can do about it

Veja Deng definitly still has AX CZ.

At AXI I was told that CZ remain until resolved. I am still confused about all that too.

edit edit edit:
darn... I had two night shifts this week and got confused with days. I was in Veja Deng yesterday and Thargday already has past.

Sorry for all the confusion.

edit: the SLF bug (moudles deactivated) isn't making it more entertaining.

Wait, I get it now, the op clarifies .
Eagle eyes shows new targets which are infested, the other list is the one's we failed to fight the Thargoids adequately earlier in the week prior to Thargsday, & so is now in an Incursion state.
Anyway, here's the current op.

Targets this week :

Incursions (AX CZ)
Veja Deng, Ariatia, CE Bootis, HIP 23395, Palanti & Kareco

Infestations (NHSS)
Celaeno, Atlas , Asterope, Apishna , GQ Virginis & HIP 24046

None are marked as Infested in the galmap

Eagle Eye:

EE1 Celaeno
EE2 Atlas
EE3 Asterope
EE4 Apishna
EE5 GQ Virginis
EE6 HIP 24046

Warning: Try and not be in the Infested / Incursion systems on Thargsday for the server restart - CMDRs have reported CtD issues otherwise.

Notes:
  • Incursions are listed in the 2nd Galnet article and dynamically update through the week (they start at 'massive thargoid presence' and are beaten when we reach 'no thargoid presence'.
  • Thargoids first Infest a system, if the Infection is not fought then they begin an Incursion, and we lose stations until the incursion is repelled.
  • Infested and Incursed systems can often be seen in the Galmap left panel. Sometimes the system also switches allegiance to the Thargoids (not always). It's worth checking a system is still Infested / Incursed before travel, as they change through the week. Sometimes the Galmap does not show the correct states, but systems targeted by Eagle Eye should still be targets. Unless that is broken ...
  • There is a galmap filter to help find Incursion systems (there is no filter for Infested)
  • Incursion systems : fight in the AX CZ until they are no longer listed in Galnet :)
  • Infested Systems : are saved by kills in the target systems- each kill counts the same, so a Scout is as useful as an Interceptor. Bonds do not matter. They only update state once a day, just after the BGS tick.
  • You can also find NHSS all over the Pleiades - within about 175 LYs [corrected] of Merope, but it won't help save any systems.
  • And you can get (bugged) missions from the Aegis megaships to kill Thargoids, but they also don't count to save systems unless the destination system for the mission is also a target this week.
  • Infested Targets are found via a weekly search for nhss in possible target systems near the aegis ships and by decoding the aegis Eagle Eye system https://canonn.science/codex/eagle-eye-installations/
  • Decoding Eagle Eye is now simpler - use this decoder and type in the phonetic letters called out by the eagle eye unregistered comms beacons - this gives the target system

Pleiades are small and loosing 2 stations would be a big deal, and after IDA made such an effort to repair almost every station that was previously attacked, makes me concur with AXI!

We have 12 Systems to defend now!

So it is true:

"THE MASTER PLAN

The Club is planning to cause a mass extinction event by using the advancing Klaxian fleet. They will develop weapons based upon Guardian and Thargoid technology to give us the illusion of being able to win. The Club will take their selected personnel to the Dynasty locations while we are left to hold up the Klaxian advance. We cannot win.

We must remove control from The Club / The Pilots Federation / The Cabal / The EFP / CIEP, and all of their various machinations. We are the Children of Raxxla. We Remember.

CoR Research Dept. 3304."

"The time for group secrets is over. 3305 will be the making or breaking of humanity's expansion into space. The Club aim to remove us from the board... we do not feature in their plans for the continuation of an evolved human race. We have to rise against them.
"
With DW II they distracted Cmdrs out into nowhere while the Klaxians here do act as it was intended by the Club with their galactic cabal.

Any problems with FD? ;) Slowly but continuously they do tighten the thumbscrew...;)

AXI has an expedition ongoing, we don’t have the forces to defend all.

Prioritizing Infestations in Celaeno and Atlas, <3 IDA — We don’t want to lose more starports.

For those who want to fight in CZ’s, HIP 23395 is the only prioritized Incursion system because it is the only one with additional starports to be attacked.

That’s just our targets though.

Yep, i am in HIP 23395, when that is finished, back to Celaeno. Good to have some AXCZ’s back!
Happy hunting everyone.

Interesting - Kareco and Ariatia weren't mentioned by AXI, so I guess it's other PMFs

I'm sure this has been answered, but I couldn't find it, so I'll ask for myself. Now that AX Combat Zones have replaced USS, does one need to "win" the CZ, or is it the handing in of combat bonds that still matters? I have no hope of surviving an AXCZ until the end, but I can go and shred lots of scouts until the "big boys" show up. I don't want to waste my time if it doesn't matter, however.

Oh, yeah. Our officers prioritized Infestations for the reasons our director has written above - we have lost too many stations last week and don't want to loose more.

Celaeno is a sister system of Operation Ida and Atlas hosts Cyllene Orbital which is a "refinery" and provides important commodities to repair stations ^^

And as always thanks again for keeping this thread updated, I probably wouldn't be involved with this without seeing this thread. | o7

FDev said nothing about how it works but we're pretty sure every kill counts, you don't have to finish the CZ's. Yet finishing it would impact more I guess.

I was wondering this myself today, i was involved in a “win” today, met up with a random CMDR, took out one cyclops, popped a loooad of sprouts.

The bar was full at the top, and i got 7m CR+, does that count as a “win”?
I didnt hear any conformation msg but i am also a bit deaf, and it was a lot hectic.

Because with a Basillisk and a Hydra still stomping around all angry, when i waked out, it felt like i was running, not winning!

Was a fine fun Xeno exploding time though, win or no win.
