I'm sorry to see this thread dissolving into bitterness. There's a strong feeling of frustration, which is understandable, but complaining about what FD May or may not have done is no answer.

We need to rediscover our sense of Fernweh and go back to scratch and examine where this puzzle has taken us.

There are still unexplored things in this game. 10% of tourist beacons remain undiscovered , several in the lore number spans, for instance, showing there is stuff yet to be discovered.

We've covered many possibilities, but even in the last 20 pages there have been interesting new avenues.

Let's get back to work!

I'm not bitter (well, no more bitter than I was yesterday) since I'd given up on GalNet a long time ago.

I'm also inferring from the fact that FDev has confirmed that GalNet fluff is just fluff, but said nothing about other mysteries, that those other mysteries are still in play. Finally, it's confirmation that FDev do at least pay some attention to non-pew-pew players, since they did (eventually) realize that they were sending some of us off running around on wild goose chases.

All-in-all, I'd call it a day to be optimistic.

uh oh, just found this:
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Jul 8, 2014

A couple of tidbits from David. ;)

The docking bay entrance (in the original game) was deliberately put on the planet facing side to avoid having to render the docking bay and the planet at the same time - framerate issues.

And Raxxla...?

Well - "It exists, we know where it is and we know why people haven't been able to find it..."

Cheers,

Drew.

so that's where that comes from.

Yes its the same conversation, make of that what you will. Either way the consistent message is its in the game.

Random thought for the day...

DB once said (paraphrasing): Nebulae are good places to find [things?].

So, looking at the Witch Head Nebula, cos I been doing short run repairs to stations which are outside the nebula and getting hyperdicted while jumping near or through it. We can't jump into it due to a lack of stars within it, so is the Thargoid FSD technology able to plot a jump into empty space without a target?

Why is this important? Well, more paraphrasing, didn't someone suspect The Club somehow controls where we can go due to permit locks? Is that controlled in layers, ie by The Pilot's Federation, their clandestine arm, The Dark Wheel, and above them pulling the strings are The Club board of directors?

How does Raxxla fit? Well, if it's a 'gateway', could it not be a means to circumvent the permit lock system entirely, thereby removing a powerful asset, and layer of defensive shielding from control of The Club if they have the system they, and Raxxla inhabit behind a covert 'invitation only' permit lock paywall?

If The Club really do have a galaxy wide influence is it possible they funded an AEGIS / INRA project that either found and exploited Raxxla or reverse engineered Thargoid drive tech secrets some time ago? Could the discovery of one lead to the other and is this what makes it possible to find rogue planets?

We can only jump via primary stars and there's no way to 'mis-jump'. Why?

[Edit: Hidden in plain sight: ALL empty space between the stars is 'off-limits'.]
[Edit, edit: By that reasoning the loading screen between systems is Raxxla.]
[Edit, edit, edit: Witch[space]'s Reach is only 33.25 Ly from Sol, and locked?]

I hope that this Bilderberg-ish Club has nothing to do with the Raxxla Quest. Mystery and fantasy would be completely spoiled, imho.
We already had that in the Formidine Rift mYsTeRy, thank you.

Hello, CMDRs. Got to active RAXXIA 2 days ago since my english is not native ...
So google random showed me some reddit about "Cassiopea & Andromeda" and...I got a mindflash...started "stellarium" ...
And look on it "To the jewel that burns on the brow of the mother of galaxies!":

Stellarium0191_1566024679148_11564.png

I swapped back to elite, yeh! It has special name which stellarium do not know "Ao Cassiopeiae".
From here I started urgent 30000ly jump back to bubble ...and had time to think.

Let's read more: "To the whisperer in witchspace, the siren of the deepest void!"
Initially I thought it is Rigel ...but, read some more wiki, and we have the winner "69 Lambda Eridani". In the name of this star there is a whole class of variadic stars with less then 24hrs period. I guess it must be wisper if you use radio-telescope.

And last one "The parent's grief, the lover's woe, and the yearning of our vagabond hearts." - it seems like definition of word "traveler" for me. And the star of them is ..."Polaris" (actually can be another too in sourthern part of Earth).

Now I (we) have 3 stars and 1 is locked, which gives 2 hints:
1. Somebody do not want we know exact coordinates of Polaris since edsm shows it has errors there ...
2. It is tip we don't have to visit those stars.

And now, last 36 hrs I'm trying to figure what I can calculate from those 3 stars ...something like "the center of outer circle around triangle", "of inner circle" etc. etc. But it goes slow since I completely forgot school math.

P.S. Sorry if you already discussed that all on 500 pages before :)
P.P.S. "NGC 752 Sector HR-V d2-3" is ALMOST in center, i.e. has distances 1270.25; 1273.93; 1284.56 -- best i could figure yet.

I’m not bitter!
Twisted perhaps, but not bitter
Yet!
So I’m semi-qualified for Raxxla 😈

Hello, CMDRs. Got to active RAXXIA 2 days ago since my english is not native ...
...snip..
Tin foil hat time...
Welcome to the thread, Cmdr. ( Don't worry about your English, I already got our excellent fellow-threaders used to make an effort to understand my own pidgin English. ;) )
Imho, each of the verses of the toast directly describes Raxxla through images.
We hear the song/whisper of Raxxla everytime we use witch space. (I suspect that somewhere in the MW, its song must be more intelligible/ decode-able, sonogram.)
Raxxla sits inside witch space, which, by the way, is the deepest possible void.
The icon represents the six bridges, jump paths, that lead to Raxxla, along its singing (curved lines) and the dashes which are its natural obfuscation because of sitting in witch space.
Or, Raxxla sits in normal space but "sings" through witch space and is reachable through six (three ?) specific jumps, where its song is louder/understandable.
Imho.

Or, Raxxla may be in the Formidine Rift (my current hypohosis) or it might be in the bubble, or it might not be.
It might be a moon, a planet, an astroid or a generation ship.
We might be able to discover it straight away, or we may need to be Elite, or we might need the Dark Wheel to help us, which would involve them inviting us to join them, or finding their dark station.
We might need to decode a cipher, or not. We have some clues in the codex but they might not really be clues
We might need to brush up on our Greek mythology to understand the clues (if they are clues) or the clues might point us to the club.
We might need to follow a path around the old worlds, or we might find it obfuscated in the outer rim.
What we know for sure is that it is a definite place, in the Milky Way.
Welcome to the thread and happy hunting!

For the avoidance of doubt.....all, some or none of my previous statements may be fully, partially, or not remotely correct!

A new experience and not a mis-jump per se.

As I was hyper jumping to escape a Thargoid Interceptor in the Witch Head area, I was hit by the it's disruption field but still made the jump. As I arrived in the new system, my ship went offline seemingly permanent. I re-logged to get the ship online again. Never tried that before.
So do you have a theory?

Saw that on utube long ago. Also it can keep flying with all off.

G.A.N. = AI, Romero = pilgrim
The AI Pilgrim ? Could that " lost AI " actually be The Caretakers ?

Mmmh.. Raxxla features, as well as anything else ingame, could very well be evolving as the game mechanics evolve. I hope so !
I've always said there is a fair chance that the Caretakers / Architects are descendants of the lost Constructs(Guardian AI).
They could of course also be the builders of Raxxla. They already have a fully operational 'alternative universe' going, in the monolith network.
